Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We bought this washer (and the matching dryer) recently to replace a 3-yr old set that never cleaned well and started giving us issues with the locking mechanism. So happy with our purchase! This washer is appealing to the eyes, unlike most other washers on the market. The Black Stainless Steel is awesome looking! Samsung payed attention to all the details and truly made a beautiful looking machine. It just makes me smile when I walk by our laundry room and see the beautiful black stainless and chrome accent doors instead of the usual drab white. The features I love are: the pull-out detergent tray, the front-loading door, the large 4.5 u ft, the flat completely accessible top for folding laundry, the variety of options like temperature and cycles, the self clean feature that uses no chemicals and nothing additional to buy, the complete ease of use...but my #1 loved feature....this washer cleans amazingly well. We have 3 long haired cats, it cleans fur off our dark clothes easily. It leaves our clothes smelling fresh and feeling soft. It also uses very little water to wash resulting in slightly damp clothes to be hung or put into the dryer...resulting in less time until dried clothes can be put away! This is one heavy washer at over 200 lbs! It has VRT Plus technology which keeps it balanced and running smoothly instead of hopping around our laundry room while drying rugs or lots of towels. I love that it can be maintained and cleaned regularly with ease. The detergent drawer can be completely removed and washed, and so can the filter that is in a conveniently placed front door on the bottom of the unit. And then there is always the Self Clean function that cleans the drum for you with no chemicals, keeping the drum and interior smelling fresh and clean. This is an exceptional washer. Samsung really outdid themselves designing this 2018 washer and dryer set.
