The manager at Best Buy suggested replacing the washer. The new washer produced a small amount of condensation but according to Samsung, it's a normal occurrence as the lid is not, and should not be, air-tight. The washer works very well. Only complaint is that the metal panel on the back of the washer vibrates on the spin cycle causing a rattling sound.

I like bigger drum than previous 4.5 cu ft
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like having the bigger space in the 5.0 cu ft one for laundry than in our previous 4.5 cu ft top loader but since it is taller and deeper it is sometimes lough to get out the laundry from the bottom of the drum. And when you reach over to get the laundry the cheap plastic front lid makes a sound every time you lean on it to reach down to the bottom of the drum.....very annoying
