If you don't have much in there it works, but it's not set up to handle a large amount of clothes or other items. You can only wash about 4 towels at a time. Sometimes it works with many clothes. It's inconsistent depending on what you're washing.

Our large king size comforters fit in the basket (it's huge) and it's not crammed in, plenty of extra space. The basket is kinda deep (which is awesome for larger loads), I'm 5'4" and have to use a step stool to reach the socks at the bottom though, but other than that we are happy with the purchase.
