Samsung's Top-Loading Washer with 5.0 cu. ft. capacity allows for larger loads, so you can spend less time doing laundry. Vibration Reduction Technology keeps loads balanced and quiet even at high speeds, while Self Clean keeps your laundry drum fresh and odor-free, so it's ready for the next wash.
Q: Why should I buy a Samsung instead of a L.G. washer?
A: Quality. I am preparing to replace my 5 year old LG washer because it is rusting from the inside out. This after replacing the mother board a year ago. I cannot necessarily suggest Samsung over any other manufacturer (though May 2016 Consumer Reports rates 2 Samsung top loading high efficiency models #1 and #2) but I can strongly recommend you stay away from LG.
Q: Does this washer have deep wash on it if so does that mean you can get more water
A: I have found if you select high soil level, it increases the water level.
A: clothes get clean, and you can use the setting called deep wash and the water will cover the clothes. I do that ocassionally when I feel the clothes are extra dirty.
A: The hoses were separate. We had ours intalled, but checking the receipt shows they were $29.99.
Q: Does this washer have a handwash cycle?
A: Hello Charf, this unit has a delicate cycle but not a handwash cycle. ^Britt
Q: Does the washer have to be paired with the Samsung dryer?
A: No, we have a whirlpool dryer. Both just fine together
Q: Does the steam feature have to have a water hookup?
A: Yes, it comes with the two way water adapter and the hose that goes to the dryer. Great feature!
