I am 5'2 and I do find it difficult to remove wet clothing from the bottom of the drum because it is deep, but it is do-able. I would not recommend this size washer if you are shorter than this. I was worried that you cannot open the top after the cycle has begun because I often need to add items, but there is a way to disable this function, thank goodness.
