Works well, had to have the washer drain enlarged as the house had the old smaller version. There are many options on the washer that I will never use, and i am still trying to learn all the features. It does not go out of balance like my old GE did, it’s quiet, and clothes are clean.

Very happy overall with this washing machine. It replaced a GE Harmony high-capacity touch-screen machine I had purchased in 2004. I’m not sure if my 16-year-old machine had lost some of its power over the years or if this machine is just better technology, but I suspect it’s a combo of both. Wow, this thing gets your stuff clean! I threw a load of my daughter’s gross stuffed animals in it and they all came out looking and smelling brand new, and any stained clothes I pre-treat come out looking fabulous... I’m talking spots I couldn’t remove with my old washer, even with a 3-hour presoak! I should mention the drum size on this device, because it is ENORMOUS. I washed a king sized quilt w/all the sheets and pillowcases, and still had room! The machine did not go off balance, and the bedding was clean as could be afterwards. You’ll need to make sure your dryer can handle a very large load, though, as I found my high-capacity dryer (did not get this as part of a set; my old dryer works great) was not really able to handle the biggest loads I could fit into the washer. Also, short people be advised: I’m 5’5” and thanks to an ample bosom I cannot reach into the far bottom on the backside of this washer drum! Never thought that would be a problem, but I made a small step stool out of some scrap wood I had lying around to give me a 6” boost at the end of the washer to dryer transfer. Problem solved! The only cons on this machine (as far as I can tell after a couple dozen loads) are that it seems more difficult to program the exact wash sequence I desire than it was on my old GE touch screen washer. I bought this as a floor model to take advantage of a good discount, so I did not receive a manual, which may help with figuring out that issue (I’m hoping to find that manual online today). For instance, some loads allow the ‘pre-soak’ or ‘deep fill’ options, while others don’t. Also, if you put a larger load in for a quick wash, you’re likely to find that it takes longer than you initially expected after the washer ‘senses’ the load. It’s never more than a 20-30 minute difference, and I can certainly live with that in order to ensure I have clean things. One thing that was worth mentioning is the soft-close (LOVE THAT!) see-through lid this machine has. My whole family stood in the laundry room for nearly 40 minutes watching the machine do its thing on the day it arrived. It was quite funny to see my 3 and 8-yo so interested in a washer. :) I’ll be honest; I too had to watch it fill and start to agitate on the first 4-5 uses. lol I guess it was interesting since I had never owned anything but top-loaders in my life, and therefore until I purchased this one, I hadn’t seen what they do I guess? Who knows. So far I have one had one large load go out of balance, and all I had to do to correct it was press the start button for a few seconds. A feature I love on this machine is the ability to regulate the spin, rinse, soil, and temp cycles with more options than I was used to having. There are 5 variances from low to high so you can choose which temp, spin, etc you would like. The additional spin is great for particularly heavy items or loads. All in all, if you wash for a family of 4 or more and/or have a king-sized bed, this is great choice.

Pretty happy that we picked this washer versus a front loader. It has so many washing options and is large enough to wash bedding. In over a year of having it our only issue has been that it can get off-balance and has to be reset. The manual that came with walks you through the reset so we have not had a paper service.

I wish the load sizes and water depth were more variable on every setting, but I guess Samsung has reasons for limiting them. Good washer. It does get out of balance pretty easily, so mind your clothes as you load. I am still trying to figure out the alchemy needed to wash a comforter and not have it stop halfway for being UB.

This washer works pretty well... when it works. It regularly becomes unbalanced during spin cycles, particularly when washing bedding. What good is a 5 cubic foot washer if it can't run a load over half full without becoming unbalanced three times so that the cycle takes 4+ hours? I've tried loading it every which way, never overdoing it; this washer just can't handle large loads. It becomes unbalanced, you try to wring out some water and reload it evenly, it resets itself to another 30 minutes, and 20 minutes you're doing it all over again. It seems to work well otherwise although run times often seem very long for the loads. Despite its issues, the laundry always seems clean (eventually). Would not purchase again.

Good product and nice looking too. Sometimes we get unbalance error. Have to open it and spread the clothes and it starts working again

Works great when the cycle doesn't get off balance. I follow all the directions according to the manual and it still keeps happening. Sadly more often. I must have it serviced under warranty now.

Pretty big and deep but sometimes doesn't balance properly based upon the items in it and you have to readjust. It is also a little louder than expected. Overall satisfied with the purchase.

I like alot. but recently it has gotten off balance and now we are trying to see how to read the codes. We're just gonna have to call about the warranty.

Love this washer. But the only hang up is it gets unbalanced a lot which in turn takes forever to get done and it continues to fill and drain.

I like the machine, I feel like it does a good job, however, I don’t like all of the settings more do I like how long the machine actually takes to wash clothes on a normal setting. Iv began only using the quick wash setting. I also don’t like how it’s constantly unbalanced and you have to be VERY particular as to what you wash in it so that the wash will complete

We used to be able to clean anything in this- comforters, blankets, etc. Within months the balance was getting thrown off and we were getting errors. We are going to contact Best Buy to get it serviced but for the price this shouldn't be happening. Also, no, we are not over stuffing it and make sure we try and balance the load.

I bought this washer (and the matching dryer) mostly based on the reviews. I am very disappointed that almost every cycle on this machine takes longer to run than my old washer (Whirlpool Cabrio 10+ years old). It gets stuck very often due to items becoming “unbalanced”. This has occurred with all load sizes and some times we are unable to get it to continue even after repositioning multiple times. Very unhappy with this purchase.

It worked great for the first 1.5 years. Now it’s constantly off balance! It takes forever to get a load done!

It’s a good unit but sometimes it gives an unbalanced warning for a single comforter and won’t continue to wash which is annoying.

This machine washes fine, but it takes HOURS because it gets unbalanced EVERY WASH. If you put more than two pieces of clothing, it will get unbalanced. Changing the cycle and spin settings does nothing to help. Do yourself a favor and get a different machine!!!

Junk, it had a unbalanced code and Best Buy or Samsung offered no support. I had to take this apart and purchase new shock absorbers off of Amazon and replace everything myself.

Supposedly High capacity but can only put really small loads in and it always out of balance. I had to wash one load 4 times today and it is still not done.

Major issues 18 months after purchases. Load timer completely haywire and constantly goes off balance

We have been using this for some time and are not impressed with the quality of wash we get from this machine. It always is becoming unbalanced no matter how much care and attention we give to placing in the load. I wish we would have chosen a different machine.
