Great washing machine. Many cycles which we are still trying to figure out. The machine is very quiet. You can hardly hear it running. The capacity is great because now we can wash our King Bed comforter without going to the dry cleaner. It also does great with gentle work clothes. Was hesitant to get one without an agitator but am pleasantly surprised. The only complaint is theres a button for fabric softener that you have to press for every cycle and I forget to press it.

An easy review. Have now run about 50 various loads through. We alternate each between a couple of the leading brands of HE liquid detergent, a half scoop of OxyClean powder and usually some fabric softener unless it is a load of towels. I do my own clothes, my wife does hers. No arguments occur. I like the dark setting for color preservation, she prefers hot and a longer setting. We both agree clothes are looking, smelling and appear much cleaner than our replaced 15+ year old top loader. This Samsung holds more, is much quieter overall, washes better, less bunching if any, easier to load, has a larger better operating lid and emits a pleasing jingle when complete, which can be silenced. The tray for adding detergent and softener is well placed and simple to use. Controls are intuitive and easy to actuate. Even my garage towels come out pristine on the heavy duty setting. The installation went perfectly. The guys were careful, no bumps or new dings. All fittings carefully tightened and a quick cycle run to check for all functions and possible leaks, none. We removed our replaced unit first and cleaned the entire laundry room prior to installation for a fresh start. Also replaced the flexible metal vent exhaust tube on the dryer, since the access was available, needed it. Used my Ryobi high speed electric leaf blower to blow out the lint from under the dryer and through the house vent tube. Unreal and truly amazing amount of lint buildup cleared out. The dryer is noticeably more efficient and probably much safer now. We are talking a medium size trashcan of lint on the side of the house where the vent extrudes! In summary we are completely pleased with this purchase. I did go for the 5 year Best Buy warranty. Peace of mind since the bearings failed twice on our previous washer, once in warranty, once out.

The whole process is as familiar as it always has been. You place the articles that need washing into the bin. (It doesn't have an agitator which makes just dumping all of your clothes in a breeze). You use your detergent/softener/bleach of your choice, turn the knob on the left to choose your setting, and then hit the play button on the right side. The power and play button are capacitive touch which adds a nice feel of modernization. The lid has a window in case you want to see that your clothes are actually being washed. (Kidding) I sometimes use it to make sure that the soil level that I chose is adequate for the size of laundry that I dumped into the washer. You can change options like temperature, soil level, how many times it spins, etc... good level of variety. You get a chime indicating that your laundry is done. I haven't had a single problem with the washer. All in all, a great washing machine by Samsung

I've never had a high efficiency washer before, so was really concerned about getting one. Something I learned about the HE washer from use is, HE refers to energy consumption, which means it can take longer than washers that aren't HE. I read the reviews on this one and again was concerned. People mentioned the alarm being a long, annoying song. You can turn that off easily, just read the manual. People mentioned how awkward it was to fill the soap tray. Okay, it is a little bit, but it's the same for all top-load HE washers. Someone complained that the fabric softener came out with the soap. Well, yes, just like in any other washer. Someone mentioned that there wasn't enough water. The only time there wasn't enough water for my laundry was when I was washing a comforter. You have to fold it a certain way, and I didn't. It is noisier than I expected, which I suspect is likely a trait of all HE washers. Read the instruction manual before you try to use it if you've never had a HE washer before. Also, don't install it yourself. Pay for the installation. It's totally worth it. I overloaded the washer. I put in what would have been 2 loads of laundry in one load for this washer. I hit "Deep Fill," and there was plenty of water. Everything got clean. The spin cycle was fine. The only issue was it took a very long time because of how big the load was. There's a "Super Speed" option that really cuts down the time, but I didn't select it for this load. I like to take my laundry out of the dryer and fold it and set it on top of the washer and dryer until I'm done. The top of the washer slants. It's challenging, but I can still fold and set my laundry on top. I just have to be careful and keep an eye on it in case it slides. I'm 5'4". I do have to really reach down to get the last sock out of the bottom of the tub. It's a big tub, though, so you kinda have to expect that. A little footstool helps.

I love this washer so much, it is so quiet and fits so much stuff in it. I also love that it saves my water bill so much by filling it up based on how much there is in it. It is does take longer than the other one I had, but I'd rather have something that works great and takes longer than doesn't get the job done! Great purchase!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE This washer! I had one of Samsung recall washer and I was unsure of purchasing another but after comparing and reading other reviews I went ahead and ordered it. So happy I did ,its super quiet and leaves clothes so nice and clean,the spinning part is also great my old washer would leave clothes still wet making my dryer work double, not anymore! :)

We love this washer dryer set. They include many options for washing/drying. They are quiet and the dryer is very efficient, drying clothes more quickly than our previous dryers. I do recommend these appliances.

The wife likes the washer. it is very efficient and quiet. we can now catch up on laundry for a family of 4 in a few hours vs days with our old washer and dryer set up.

This is by far the best washer I have ever used. I am highly impressed by the drum capacity!! I was skeptical at first of there being no agitator in it, well no tall stick like agitator at least, but the washer did better than I expected. It has far exceeds my expectations for how well it cleans, it's capacity, quiet, and sleek. What used to take me like 3 loads to wash only takes 1 now, it amazes me, I mean it's saving a ton of water and power while cleaning better than my old washer. I would recommend this washer to everyone. I almost forgot to mention, it has this awesome spot cleaning option for while you're loading!! It saves me time and really helps me to treat stains.

Bought this as open box on a day when BestBuy offer extra off their open box appliances, so was incredible deal. Its huge inside, but not much bigger on the outside than our previous one. Quiet ? are you kidding me ? first couple weeks i would have to go check to see if it was still working, as it was so whisper quiet. Also uses alot less water than my previous, though the washing cycles are longer if you use this option. There is a kinda useless smart feature advertised, for when the washer wants to tell you something. It flashes a number up on the washer and then you can scan than number into an app !!! i mean, seriously ? just look the number up. Not that i have had any numbers appear on my washer.

Love the drum and impeller. Much nicer without the agitator. The 5.0 size is very large, much larger than what we needed BUT the washer will self adjust, weighing (?) the load and will pour in only the amount of water needed so no water waste, which is a relief. The cycles seem longer than my old washer, but my clothes, towels and bath rugs have all come out very clean. Several choices for wash, # of rinses, length of spin - couldn’t be happier with the purchase! We’ve done about 30 loads since the purchase on 5/20 - and are very pleased with the performance. The machine is quiet during all cycles, a definite plus. It looks great and so far has provided awesome performance. I would recommend this Samsung washer. Very happy with our purchase.

With a shortage of matching washer/dryer combinations and a recent move that had us without a washer/dryer for over two weeks, Best Buy came to the rescue after purchasing a set from Lowes and them losing them. When we finally gave up on Lowes finding the missing washer and dryer, we turned to Best Buy, They worked with us to not only secure an in stock set in the color we wanted, but got it on one of our other deliveries for the very next day. The washer and dryer itself, while top load are fantastic. Quiet, large and able to handle comforters and other large loads easily, never a mildew smell or need to keep the door open. I am extremely happy with my purchase. Thank you Best Buy!

Works great. Holds a large amount of clothing. Easy to use and operate, has nice simple to use features. Runs quiet and efficient. I am tall and the drum is very deep.

This washing machine is quiet and efficient. Cleans well. The song/chime at the end of the cycle is calming and pleasant. Large capacity is very helpful for a family with a lot of laundry to wash every week.

The washer runs quiet. It washes our clothes a lot better than the washer that we were previously using. I'm new to using a washer with no agitator. So far so good.

I've had this washer for 2 years now so I can give it am honest review. This washer is beautiful, I love the black color it has a modern look and I love the technology that comes along with it. My favorite thing about this washer is the size. It's huge, you can wash an extra large load and it comes out pretty clean, however I prefer smaller loads because the matching dryer doesn't dry so well, but that will get its own review. One thing I don't like is that the spin only cycle does not spin only. It actually rinses then spin. This was not useful because I had an item (comforter) that needed the excess water removed and it kept adding water when I chose the spin only cycle. I didn't notice this until after 1 year and by then it was past the standard warranty period. This brings me to the second thing I don't like, the washer doesn't wash large or thick comforters well. Even when using the bedding cycle, the comforter takes in too much water, which makes the load unbalanced, then the washer stops with an error because the load is unbalanced. This makes washing our comforters pretty difficult and it's so tempting because the washer holds such a large capacity. Sometimes we just them to the laundromat, but they are far and few nowadays. I can still give the washer a good rating because for everything else that we use more frequently works well.

We switched from a front loading washer to the top loading washer. We absolutely love it!! Quiet, efficient and holds a ton of laundry. Love the athletic setting as well!

From a design standpoint, the washer looks really nice and clean. Easy to use. What you have to understand about washers like these, meaning without an agitator, it uses the friction on other clothes to to clean clothes. We live in the city and do some gardening outside and it gets our clothes clean. Follow directions on how to wash comforter and it will clean them fine. My next washer, I would like a removable agitator, because each has advantages.

After having front loading washing machines and dealing with the odor and mold/mildew, we decided to get a top loader. This washing machine is as efficient as a front loader. The bowl moves one way and the bottom moves the other. It doesn't have an agitator, which concerned me at first, but our clothes come out so clean. Love it!
