    Do NOT buy this washer

    13 months after the purchase, all of a sudden, the wash would not turn on. Apparently this is a well known issue with this particular washer. (https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Washers-and-Dryers/Flexwasher-not-turning-on-18-8J/m-p/493538#M7430) Here's the diagnosis, the computer touch screen for the top and front load washer is 'broken'. The technician told me it's a $700 issue. And there is only one-year warranty! I spent $1300+ for the washer, it's only been 13 months and now it's going to cost me another $700... this is ridiculous and I am extremely disappointed in the product.

    HATE THIS MACHINE

    This machine has been nothing but a pain since I got it. Constantly has an error code, top washer is not very good at stain removal so you’re better off using the bottom on delicate. Samsung customer service is down right awful. Was told that the nearest service center was more than 25 miles from me and they might not be able to get anyone to come out. WHAT?! And when I called Geek Squad about the extended warranty I bought, I was told to go to YouTube for the fix!!! I will NEVER buy a Samsung anything ever again!

    Beware! Broken old washer upon delivery

    We waited almost 3 weeks for a white version of this washer. It was delivered (02/28/20),installed but never tested. In fact the dryer wouldnt work for a day because the installers didnt turn on the gas or remove the cap for the dryer vent. The flex washer seemed really loud but lived with it through the Covid 19 lockdown. Now it sounds like a freight train. Just called Samsung for service visit and they say the washer is from 04/31/2017 and warranty has expired. Great, super old broken stock sold from BestBuy. Now I have to go back to BestBuy and ask for the sales reciept and haggle with Samsung for warranty.

    Control panel failure

    I actually like this washer. But after less than two years of completely normal use, the control panel has “broke”. It just kinda stopped powering on. I know. Things break, but when you pay $3,000 to upgrade you don’t expect it to fail shortly after the warranty expires. I think the machine is a good design, but a product is only as good as your quality control. I’m not the only one with this problem so. It’s a real problem and Samsung should replace things like this on 2 year old machines because that’s not normal wear and tear. Sorta a shame such a nice machine to cut corners manufacturing.

    I Do Not Recommend

    I bought this washing machine somewhere else. I loved it but after 6 months the mother board died and the bearings in the top small washer were destroyed. The Samsung repair man said do not get the same model and do not have it repaired because the same thing will happen again. There are design issues.

    samsung Flex wash, worse machine ever

    I bought the flex machine on 11-2017, I had just become a grandmother, I thought this was the perfect machine, but big disappointment, the problems started within a month, they said they need to update the board, after it was the LC1 code means leakage, that would make both top and bottom machine stop working, you have to wait min 24 hours for it to dry so you can use it again. After having a service person coming to fix the machine almost every or every other month, for almost 3 years, finally I am getting an exchange and I don't know which one but definitely not another flex machine. one more thing, if you use clorox, my machine dispensed clorox with the fabric softener, and until I saw it with my own eyes then I figured out why my grandchild was getting a rash after washing whites. FYI, Samsung doesn't care about there customers.

    Throwing good money after bad

    I purchased this washing machine 5 years ago from Best Buy, and I purchased the extended 3 year warranty at that time. For nearly 5 years I experienced no problems at all, but 3 months before the extended warranty expired the machine experienced a catastrophic failure in a valve and flooded my tile laundry room causing, to date, $51,000 in repairs. The repairs are still in the planning phase, when just recently, 2 weeks after my extended warranty expired, the machine experienced another failure - a corrosion on a pin on a circuit board that shut the machine down. The Samsung repair technician says that this is very rare, but that’s what they said about the valve failure. Now I’m on the hook for $400 to replace the circuit board. At nearly 60 years old I’ve owned a lot of appliances, but this one has absolutely ruined my life. I’ll never buy another Samsung anything again.

    Lemon

    Washing machine is a lemon. Bought Aug 2019 and it was leaking water which required parts to be replaced. The rubber gasket seperated and needed to be replaced. Finally the lower part of the machine stopped working altogether. I had the control board replace by a technician and nothing. How does a washing machine that cost $1,500 fail in less than 3 years.

    I purchased this refrigerator, washer and dryer 4 years ago and I would say Samsung brand won't be on my list for any reason. The top load was leaking and didn't work but they charge me for having someone to come and take a look of it. The service is terrible.

      Water leaks from the washing machine are almost always related to controllable circumstances that are easily remedied. To figure out what is causing this, you should:
      1. Check the washing machine's water supply and door seal for leaks.
      2. Use the right amount of HE detergent, and remove detergent residue from the washing machine.
      3. Clean the washing machine pump filter (front load only).
      4. Make sure the washing machine is level.
      5. Make sure the washing machine's drain hose is installed correctly.
      6. Check for Samsung washing machine leaks with a test cycle.
