A: No, this is not sufficient for a king size comforter.
A: Yes, 6cu is a lot bigger than the 5.5. The 5.5 is really a 4.5cu at the bottom and 1.5cu at the top. I have family of 4 and the 5.5 is perfect for us.

A: Hi EddyO! There shouldn't be an issue as far as performance goes, you will be able to was clothes on the top load without a glitch. As far as comfort goes, it could be a bit uncomfortable since you can't open it all the way. ^Penny
