Great picture once I got it calibrated. Good sound quality, Not real happy with the remote, But overall, satisfied.

Picture quality on the TV is nothing short of incredible! The Colors and sharpness of the picture quality is totally unbelievable. Samsung has also finally got the low light scenes, night scenes right on the TV. The ghosting and pixel effects are virtually gone! I previously owned a Samsung un55d8000 TV which has an incredible picture but, decided to upgrade from 1080 to 4k resolution even though there is still not that much out there in 4k. I was concerned about how 1080 and 720 and 480i would look on this and so far I am very pleased! The UN55D8000 did and excellent job at 1080i and 1080P (blue ray) as that was it's native resolution. The UN55JS8500 does a great job of upscaling and at the same viewing distance looks as good and usually better than the previous TV which is really surprising. I do recommend doing some picture adjustments in the standard mode to meet the room lighting conditions. By reducing the backlighting by a few points and Brightness to about 36 and sharpnes to about 75 or 76 I found picture quality that proves to me what the TV is capable of on digital air TV signals and internet sources like Netflix and YouTube and so on . Local stations and even cable sources will vary from channel to channel depending on what the signals being broadcast look like from the source so you need to do some comparisons. TV commercials mostly have the quality you need to see how your setting are doing. One note, don't try to reduce the backlighting too much as this TV is designed to run brighter and will not look good if it is lowered too much. Use the Brightness level to reduce the brightness. There are a few other settings that will tweak the picture quality but that mostly depends on what your viewing preferences are (movies, sports, etc.# There are a few sources of 4k (you tube Netflix and more) which really show what this TV can and will do in the future. I can tell you first hand you won't believe what you see on this isn't something you can't reach out and touch it looks so real to life. The 3D on this is the best I have seen so far also. Your in for a treat! Suggestions: Get the updates and customize your settings for best results. If you get lost in them you can always do a reset on your settings and start again and use the apply to current source works best. Take your time make a few adjustments step back and if you not sure try a few more adjustments another day until your happy. I am writing this review after owning this TV for over 2 months to give it good shake down. one more note. I did find that the instant on sometime didn't allow the TV to do a clean reboot. If that happens unplug it for a few mins and it should correct and glitches. Like anything that has a processor and memory sometimes it needs to reboot.

Paid $ so I would have top of line TV . Mostly watch sports and movies. This TV had good reviews everywhere, not just Bestbuy. What I don't like is every time and I mean every time you change channels you have to wait with a black screen about 5-7 seconds before you see anything. Very annoying. Other thing is there are VERY few 3D movies so not worth the perk. Streaming 4K also not up to speed at all..YET so they say. If the TV can't deliver, they should not sell it. I am keeping it in hopes things will get better soon. The picture is excellent and watching football is like you are on the field. I would recommend but tell people what to expect.

Clarity of the picture is excellent, Sounds is perfect, it has lo r s of features, and the 3d is just like watching 3d in movie theater. I would recommend this model to my friends.

Picked up this beauty after returning a Sony 900 series at the same price point. Great decision! This TV has an absolutely gorgeous picture with all content due to amazing up scaling! Vibrant dynamic colors with no light bleed at the edges makes for a wonderful viewing experience.

I love this TV. The picture is so crisp and the colors are so vibrant. I love the 3-D option. The sound isn't the greatest but I recommend surroundsound for this TV anyway.

I had been looking for a samsung 55 inch tv for about one to two years. samsung because of the picture I saw on a 60 hz. the tv has an unbelievable picture the smart features are great the 3d is awesome and playing my ps4 on it is the best especially with the refresh rate.

The TV looks good with a straight on view but extremely washed out from an angle. Also the on screen remote pointer keeps showing up without moving the remote. I didn't want Sony because the xbr55x850b failed after five months but I'll have to try the newer xbr55x850c with the extended warranty. With these 4K models I recommend the Best Buy extended warranty.

Great picture even when just up-scaling to 4k, and the quality of the picture when viewing 4k content is fantastic! Fairly easy to navigate the settings and apps.

It is a nice looking television with very good picture quality. It is no doubt a better choice than Samsung 6000/7000 series even though it costs about $500 more.

After having the Pioneer Elite, was not sure if the next TV would meet my expectations. Although I have for just a few weeks, very satisfied and so far so good. Have to get use to the New HD quality, but believe I made the correct choice with the brand and model.

Exactly what we were looking for in a tv. Did not expect the 3D to be as good as it really is.

Great set for a all uses but also a great base set for an all out theater entertainment center.

This tv has brought about a whole other level of watching even basic cable. It's picture is amazing and brings everything into 3D life! Well worth the price!

First brought home the 48" and then I found out about the motion which I read on Best Buy site. So I took the TV back and really talked to a salesperson who was very knowledgeable and helped my decide to buy this TV. I know it cost more, but I really enjoy it.

It was a little more that I had planned to spend on a TV, but now I think it was worth it. Everything about this TV seems to be the best quality available.

Color TV. It lets you do everything. I am very pleased. However I was told I had to buy an Apple TV component because Samsung does not speak to Apple iPhones or iPads. They should really change this
