I've had this TV about a week now and have been extremely satisfied. I researched and compared a few other TVs on the market for about a month before purchasing the 55JS8500. (Sony 850C, Samsung JU7100 to name a couple). After serious comparison the JS8500 won the vote for me. The color is amazing as is the overall picture quality. It also has very nice deep blacks and bright whites. With the Nano Crystal technology the colors are sharp and vibrant. The sound is actually fairly decent (once you tweak the settings a little). My Xbox One looks great, too! The low input lag makes gaming smooth and clear. I have checked out what little 4K content Netflix has to offer (Blacklist and House of Cards) and it looks very nice. The upscaling is above average on standard cable content (Sony actually excels and dominates in this area). Upscaling on Blu-Ray is very nice. 3D isn't great, but not too bad either. I prefer Passive 3D over active personally. I actually don't mind the silver color of the frame and the remote isn't as bad as some have said. Takes a little getting used to, but once you do it's pretty easy to navigate. I don't care for the pointer on the remote so I just don't use it. There IS a mute button on the left side of the remote (some have complained there isn't a mute button, but it's there). The only CON I can see is that the picture tends to lose it's color and quality when sitting off to the side. Definitely front and center is where you want to be with this TV. 35-40 degrees to either side is as far as you want to go without sacrificing major picture/color quality. Overall this is an amazing set and it definitely gives OLED a run for it's money in regards to black levels, bright whites and vibrant/accurate colors. As much as I'd love to have the OLED I'm just not ready to spend 5K on a TV. No regrets on buying the 8500!
