great picture and sound... great looking set (silver metal border) the only down side is the controller (it's rounded and doesn't sit flat) other than that - great tv...

Picture quality is great. There is some muttering but have gotten used to it and do not notice after about 1 week. The active 3D makes my eyes tired after 1 movie and more glasses are required for the family to watch 3D.

I spent a number of hours looking at review sites before heading to the store. It came down to this set of the 2016 version (the ks8000). While I don't think you could go wrong with either set this one was a few hundred dollars less and had more of a track record at the time. Again in the end I think you would be good with either set this one looks amazing

I purchased this tv through the open box policy and got a great deal on it. There were a couple of small parts missing, but we found them and I am more than happy with my purchase. Great high quality tv.

Great TV- Purchased from Best Buy store, was open box refurbished. Works fine. The only negative is that the remote is curved and slippery. It likes to slide off of end table or whatever it's laying on.

The tv that I had bought is the most awesome tv ever! The extra colors they put into the tv makes pictures seem more real and clear like you are actually there I would recommend this tv to anybody!

The TV looks and works fantastic! I really like the apps that is can run (e.g. Netflix, Hulu,even Skype). I think the price compare to other similar TVs was great. I would recommend this product.

I bought this TV as a present for me to enjoy holidays, Simply one of the best TVs what i have had. 4k is just Amazing... great definition, cristal clear audio and Smart menu very cool!!

Since purchasing my new TV, DVD player, and Sound bar I have been really pleased with the picture and the sound that comes from the sound bar.

I did I my research on this tv and I am not disappointed at all. Samsung is worth every penny. I also bought a sound bar to go with it, and I really didn't need it but it adds to the system.

Loved my plasma tv. As soon as this tv is set up properly I think it will be ok.

Paid $1500, on sale, over the Christmas Holidays. $800 off +/- and it's nothing special. Picture is not any better when compared to our 48" set we bought 4 years ago. Don't get caught up in the hype about endless features. Just not worth it. Get an off brand and get the same good picture and save yourself $500+.

The Samsung JS8500 55 " is an outstanding TV with a crisp picture & many features. It's great for streaming (802.AC supported) and up-converts HD cable channels very nicely. The only downside is the "cheap" 3D active glasses they give you ( I bought 2 compatible glasses). I use a Klipsch soundbar with it.

Honestly I was searching for a TV that was adequate to use with the new Xbox One S' 4k capabilities. I found this one at my local best buy, looked at the specs and jumped in, and once I got the new console it was spot on. If your looking for a entry level 4k tv for movies and gaming, this is it.
