    This is our first "smart" TV, and we are certainly enjoying it. The screen resolution is great. Makes you feel like you are looking through a window at the event.

    This TV has the best visual capabilities I have ever seen. The features are spectacular and work with the greatest of ease. The active 3D is the best.

    May have a great refresh rate for sports but normal closeup motion has a odd choppy quality that is bothersome to watch. To get the higher refresh rate you are stuck with features that will not be used (3D). It's complicated to use for a non technical person.

    I chose this TV because it had less flashlighting in its class compared to other competitors of Samsung. The TV I watched at best buy was nothing like the one I bought. The black screens were much darker and didn't see hardly any glow spots or flashlighting in dark images. For being a modern TV it makes me cringe even more. You think this issue would be long gone. Especially when your paying over 2000.0 for a TV. I didn't know you had to spend 5000.0 to be satisfied. This will be the last Samsung product I buy. My last TV was a Samsung 7000 series and it was much better than this Samsung 8500 series. Worse buyers remorse ever on this product.
