This tv is great for the price. I researched this tv before I purchased it and I can say that the reviews are accurate. The only down fall on this tv is the usb. I download all my movies on an external hard drive and plug it in on all my tv's at home and Have no issues. With the js8500 all my movies will not play, I have gone to bestbuy and plugged in my hard drive on the display model and it does not work as well. I called Samsung and they told me that it's BC they have agreements with company's to crack down on piracy. I plugged my hard drive on the LG OLED and the new Sony and my hard drive plays with no issue. I will be returning today.

Beautiful picture! I have only had this tv for 2 weeks and I don't have any regrets or my usual "buyers remorse" after the purchase of a big ticket item. I even find myself watching commercials now because the picture is so good! LOL. The sound is good, although I would invest in a soundbar/sub to complete the package.

I really am impressed with the picture quality of this TV when viewing straight on. The problem is if you get off angle, the picture color washes out very quickly.

Sharp images, bright colors. Smart Control (the remote control) is a nice touch as it does not have a bewildering array of buttons; it does take a little bit to get used to. The One Connect feature is useful in that it makes it easier to change inputs without having to move the entire TV.

This is a great 55" TV. 4K Playback on Youtube will blow you away!

We own this and a OLED TV, the OLED TV does produce a sharper image in my opinion, but the 4K Picture looks very life like when viewing 4K content. Would recommend this TV!

Great picture, very sharp with the crystal display that shows more colors than just the UHD TV's. This TV is Super UHD display because of the crystals that were added in between the LCD's.

This TV looks amazing in 4K. Love the 3D on this TV.

The picture is crystal clear and there's no blur! Great for watching sports, movies, and live tv.

I purchased this TV brand new less than 6 months ago and I've already had to have the Geek Squad come out and replace the motherboard AND the WiFi card because the connection to the Internet stopped working. 3 weeks later, the same problem is happening all over again and they're scheduled to come out again. I don't watch Netflix streaming very often but I like to know that when I want to, I can turn the TV on and connect to the Internet. I expect MUCH higher quality and performance for a $2000 television. Overall, the picture quality is beautiful and I only watch movies, so I can only vouch for movies I watch on my Blu-Ray player. I occasionally watch stuff on YouTube but only when the Internet connection is working. The picture quality deserves 5 stars but the constant problems with the Internet connection and the need to replace parts (and possibly having to get a completely new TV) deserves ZERO stars. I shouldn't have these problems within 6 months of ownership. This is simply unacceptable. Maybe I just got a lemon, maybe not. Either way, if you're going to buy this TV, make sure you get the Geek Squad protection plan!! I'm so grateful I did. I'd be furious if I hadn't.

DO NOT BUY IT. Web browser do not work. Only preinstalled as Netflix or you Tube. If you do not care about web browsing buy it, otherwise stay away from Samsung Smart TV's. After I installed Samsung 55" UN55JS8500FXZA and went to my favorite browser TV streaming, it did not work. Asked me for messing adobe flash player. As per Samsung web, Samsung Smart TV no longer supports Flash Player, see below: www.samsung.com/au/support/skp/faq/1077884 I was trying to install as per Samsung web instruction. Downloaded firmware to PC and than to flush drive. Put it into USB port in Smart TV and what?, flash player was up to date, but web browsing still did not work. I went to another TV web, asked me for messing KODI (XBMC#. , I follow steps as per you tube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrqJ89M7hxg&feature=youtu.be Sorry, it was a fake. Unable to download XBMC on Samsung smart TV #read reviews below movie) Conclusion: THERE IS NOT A CHANCE that you new Samsung Smart TV will work with your favorite streaming. I called Samsung customer service and asked why did not work. I heard "we apologize, but is not supported anymore". My friend's 2014 model has no problem with TV web, newer model does. why? none knows. Think about something else. Today I will return this piece of junk to the store and buy something with Android OS. It works with all web browsers. I went from a 19" to a 55" Samsung. I can read the small writing on the screen. With 4K, I am seeing things in the background I have always overlooked before. I played a 3D movie and was astounded. I am sorry Samsung stopped making 3D TVs

I bought this tv at best buy. Came home and hooked it up with no problems. Then all of a sudden it started going off and on every 2 or 3 seconds. I called Samsung and she told me to unplug it and plug it back in. It worked for about 30 min and then started off and on again. Called again and that was all the help they could give me. Same thing kept happening. Took it back the next day.

I have using this TV for 6 years, and the image is still excellent. I use a soundbar, so cannot comment on sound quality.

Samsung makes an awesome product and we are very happy with this TV we bought from Best Buy. The new 4K definition is amazing.

This is complete garbage. Just got it delivered, turned on hbo on this new set and my plasma. Was scared to buy LED because when I am at other peoples' houses the picture looks fake compared to mine but models in the store looked really good. This is completely fake looking, watching the same movie on my plasma and it is great on there. If you are used to plasma this looks fake and stupid, DO NOT BUY. I will be returning but am really at a loss for what to get at this point.
