Worst investment ever, I bought this brand new and I had problems the first use. Was not heating up. I have had it repaired through the geek squad several times. Until they no longer repaired it because their policy changed I have had it for 5 years already and never will I buy Samsung electronics for my house. I still have to buy the part every few months so it can heat up.

3 weeks after installation, most of these models have been recalled by Samsung

We hate this dryer! We had to have the first replaced within the first year and the second is not much better! Takes forever to dry clothes, wobbles noisy

Beautiful to look at. Fell apart in less than a week . Samsung's service was the worst I have experienced in 50 years. Will NEVER buy any product with a Samsung label!

This dryer left my clothes wrinkled and know I did not overload it. Retured this dryer and the Samsung washer. Got the GE washer and dryer instead they are awesome.

I bought this in a set with the washer. I have had it for about a month and it drys well. There are so many setting on it. I have not tried the steam yet but would like to try that on my pillows to sanitize them. You can let the dryer determine the time or you can put in the amount of time you want.

This dryer has broken twice in two years. What a waste of money. Now I'm paying $400 to get it fixed again!

Just purchased the washer a month ago to discover it has been recalled for possibly exploding hopefully Samsung will do what's right.

First of all let me start by saying that I purchased this as a set, the 4.8 top load washer and this dryer. Not only did the units go together but this was the first time a steam dryer was in my price range. I do have a couple comments I was planning on putting in my review of the washer... but I can say without any doubt, I do not have any issues with the dryer and am certain it will outlast the washer that matches it. Pros: the dryer has humidity sensors so you can always go on the delicate end to avoid shrinking, even though the cycle may start off with a projected time of 38 min, it will continue drying until the clothes are actually dry. Then it gives an alarm letting you know that the load is ready if you want to get it. The machine automatically runs for a few minutes each hour to avoid wrinkles, and this function will continue for up to a few hours. Then it finally shuts down to save energy. Steam functions: you can put something that's been worn once, but you don't want it getting distorted from a wash, can be put on the refresh cycle, then the dryer uses steam to help remove odor and bacteria over a 15 minute cycle. Size: This dryer is ridiculously big, it almost seems large enough to take the wet load of 2 different washers, dry them both without putting too much stress on the system. Clear Door: sounds stupid but with having the diamond glass on the top door of the washer and the same style window on the dryer, I am glad that you can see what's going on in the machine while its running. CON; really the only issue I have, and this is something the people selling them usually don't know the specifics of... the Samsung steam units actually spray water directly on the clothes, then the heat from the cycle while it's running is what takes the water from the clothes, and turns it into steam at this point. However with this design, sometime with dress clothes, at least if you have hard water or anything like that. It may make a water mark on your dark dress clothes. The only way to avoid this is by going with an LG. They use a different style setup that somehow evaporates the water before entering the tub. So no water is sprayed on the clothes. However these units tend to be more expensive, and all the ones I saw required you to add the water into a drawer that slid out. or a reservoir on top with top load styles

Don't buy this, makes noise. Very loud dryer. Piece of junk. Save your money.

Never dried great and died after 4 years w light use

The dryer was never purchased due to it being damaged.

I read a lot of reviews on different sites. This is a fantastic dryer. It fits a ton of clothes and dries really well. I love the light, too, in the dryer. My last one didn't have one. We are very pleased with it. The kit for the "steam" part is an additional $25 but easy to hook up. We have yet to use it though.

We purchased the dryer at a discount as it was on the floor as a return so I was worried something might go wrong with it right away (as usual I bought the 5 yr. warranty) but so far so good. I wasn't originally looking for the model with the steam option but it's a nice plus. As other reviewers have mentioned sometimes the clothes are not quite all of the way dry but my last dryer over-dried my clothes so this is ok with me. The few times they've been too damp I just put it on time dry for another 20 minutes. I believe it's the HE/dry sensor that sometimes thinks the clothes are all of the way dry. I have a matching Samsung washer. Love them both!

No issues whatsoever with this machine. Smaller footprint than my last dryer and very quiet. I am pleased.

No more putting ice cubes in your dryer to get those wrinkles out. If you choose the wrinkle away option this device sprays your dried clothes with water, and with the applied heat creates steam that removes the wrinkles. Turn on wrinkle prevent, and when done drying, it will continue spinning for 180 minutes without heat to prevent your clothes from getting wrinkled while sitting. Good for times you will leave your home for a while if you start a load to dry. And unlike my previous speed queen dryer, this device does an excellent job knowing when your clothes are dry, and will shut down early if needed when your clothes are dry, unless you use the setting where you choose your own drying time.

We LOVE the wrinkle settings! Best dryer I've ever used. It likes to conserve energy and doesn't fry your clothes on the auto-settings. They sometimes come out damp, but I'd rather the dryer under-dry than over-dry! And of course, you can always just use the timed setting and fry em if you want!

I have been using the dryer every week for the past 6 months. Never had any issues at all. The wrinkle prevent cycle is the best if you are lazy like me to press iron the shirts and pants. Best for the price. Meets all my requirement.
