I had bought this dryer, opened it up and within the first month it started making loud noises. Then the belt broke off, called to have geek squad come out because I have the protection plan thankfully. Turned out my drum was cracked. It took them two weeks to repair it. That was less than a month ago... Yesterday I go to take out the laundry from the dryer and it broke again.. Same thing twice in a month, now I have to wait again. I love samsung and have everything samsung but this is a terrible disappointment..

I thought I was being environmentally friendly and tech savvy buying a dryer that was high efficiency and thought I had done my research about models, top vs front loading, etc. I truly wish I had saved money and bought a standard 'low efficiency' dryer from Sears/Kenmore like the ones I've owned previously. The sensor dry is ridiculous- even though the capacity is large my wife has to wash multiple items of clothing or bedding separately or else things don't get thoroughly dry. What's worse is that even on the standard (non sensor) timed setting items still won't dry and have to be run multiple times. I thought for sure I'd bought a lemon so I contacted Samsung customer service which was horrendous to say the least. After spending the better part of two hours on the phone to have a technician sent out to evaluate it I was advised that I would be charged for the service call if nothing was found to be wrong. Ultimately a technician came out and advised me that the machine was functioning as expected, but I personally think there is still something wrong with it or the heating element across this product line is extremely weak. Whatever 'high efficiency' this product claims is lost in the cost of electricity needed to run multiple dryer loads! I very rarely if ever post reviews of products I buy and I'm not motivated to review to earn Best Buy rewards bonus points. I felt it was necessary to post this because of how disappointed I have been with the cost efficiency of this product- buyer beware! If I could return it I would- but at this point I have no recourse!

This is a great dryer. Don't waste your money on anything else. Its awesome and so quiet and easy to use. Clothes look great and I only have to iron the crease in the arms of my cotton shirts and pants.

My lint trap broke on week 2, best buy was pretty good about getting me a new one, but it still is a pain to go through all the hassle of ordering a new one. Heating element went out completely after FOUR MONTHS. Neither Samsung or Best Buy was very helpful, accurate or friendly to get this issue fixed. I have a family with kids and we can't just go weeks without a dryer, but Geek Squad schedule was out 12 days from the day I originally called to come fix it.

I bought this dryer in 2015. I have had NOTHING but problems since. I have had to replace the heating element three times, the idler pully 3 times (because the plastic one they put on there melted and cracked within 7 months), the roller wheels twice and the motherboard once. The drum cracked after a year of having it. I have spent over 3 times the dryer's original price on repairs because neither Best Buy or Samsung helped with their "warranty". Shameful. I will never purchase a dryer from Samsung again and will likely never purchase from Best Buy again after they failed to offer any assistance throughout the first few years I had the warranty.

We've been very happy with the Samsung Washer and Dryer till now. 20 months In we had a pully that melted causing one of the "spinny things" that makes the dryer go to lock up and the dryer would not start. Best Buy's Customer Service was outstanding! 2 days after calling the 800 # a Geek Squad guy shows up to diagnose the issue. A $20.00 part and a $99 diagnostic fee later and I was back in business. I was advised in the store at time of purchase that dryer repairs are relatively inexpensive so I did not get the extended warranty on the dryer like I did the washer so I had to pay for this repair. the 5 year extended warranty would have cost the same as the repair so I feel like I got good advice at the store so long as it doesn't break again in the next 3 years. The technician advised that the pully system, and the heating elements are common repair calls he see's on this machine. Either way both parts are relatively inexpensive so your out less than $150 if it should break. If I had it to do again I probably would make the same decision and take my chances without the extended warranty on the dryer in hopes of saving $120 dollars.

This dryer has far exceeded my expectations. Would recommend to anyone.

Overall, it dries your clothes. Maybe not in a reasonable time, but it dries. The sensor must rely on weight of load which is fine unless you have socks or a very small load - pretty much useless no matter what you're drying so I don't rely on those settings to dry completely. The steam functionality basically shoots water on your clothes and they come out wet - kinda defeats the purpose since my steam iron doesn't do this. Don't use that functionality either. I've owned this dryer 3 years and the heating element went out (which seems like a long run compared to some of the other reviews). Guess I was anticipating getting 8-12 years out of this thing but they "don't make em like they used to". Must be the new normal - so so quality for 1-3 years?. Underwhelmed by this product and wouldn't buy again. Samsung should stick to electronics or up their game in the appliance world.

Bought this in 2015 and have had no issues. The only thing was the bearings just went out and those are getting replaced. That happens though. Overall, satisfied with it.

Replaced our 10-yr old Kenmore with this high-tech machine ... it's awesome. Clothes dry in half the time it previously took ... and are THOROUGHLY dry without being "cooked". We've enjoyed the multiple settings ... haven't tried the steam yet but sure it will be outstanding as well.

Great while it worked. Purchased in 2016 and the heating element died. To buy a new one or have it fixed!

Huge dryer with many settings. I love the wrinkle release cycle because it's almost as good as ironing. Easy to change lint holder and looks so nice

I love my dryer. Definitely would stick with it and purchase again.

Piece of junk. Stopped working within a year and had to have the plastic cogs inside replaced and then the motor went the next year. Will never buy another Samsung appliance.

6 years in and the controller has blown. Too many features, many that do not work as advertised, noisy and problematic. When it works it works well but not certain if I would buy again.

Bought this along with a new washer for my mom. Did not need a lot of bells and whistles. This one is large and does a great job.

machine is okay but doesn't always get completely dry and needs extra time.
