Built well. Frustrating lack of cycle adjustments.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, the fit and finish of this dryer is quite nice and the chime sounds are rather cute. Our complaints about this dryer actually come down to the drying cycles themselves. We have always dried our laundry with low heat and moisture auto-sensing, but that’s apparently not an option with this machine. Using the Normal auto-sense cycle mandates that you do so with what equates to a medium to medium-high heat setting. In order to use a lower temperature cycle, you have to use the Time Dry cycle which caps out at a 1hr 39mins run time - with no ability to sense the moisture content. It seems like it would have been simple to just allow the temperature to be adjusted for any of the cycles - in fact, it makes a lot of sense to just let all settings be adjustable for all cycles. That way the cycle selections would pull up the stock recommended settings but adjustments could still be made if desired. Nice and simple, but Samsung doesn’t seem to think so. If you love spending time sorting all of your laundry by material types in advance, own no clothing that could shrink, or always only have small loads of laundry to dry - this machine would probably be great for you! We, however, are rather disappointed that this new (far smarter and far more expensive) dryer can’t handle the simple options that our previous 15 year old dryer can.
