No go mouse

Didn't want to wait for MBA 15"

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a 2020 MacBook Air M1 and have been holding out for the rumored 15" Air because I want a lightweight premium with a larger screen. This Samsung was on sale around Christmas time for a really attractive price so I decided to give it a trial run and will probably end up keeping it. Performance is above anything I needed on either machine for daily web browsing or office use. Compared to the MBA: -Battery is not as good -Touchpad not as good. It would be a wash if windows tap settings were less sensitive or the physical click was softer, I had to disable tap since it was impossible to type without my palms making it click on everything even when at the lowest setting. -It does have a fan, but has been pretty quiet for the most part +Larger screen is great, but 1080p prevents it from being excellent +Number pad keyboard will be great for me in Excel +Touchscreen w/ pen for notes or scribbles without needing a separate iPad +Keyboard feels more solid than MBA MacOS wasn't doing much to keep me in the ecosystem and has (in my experience) become more buggy in the past year making Windows 11 at least a change of scenery. I am already in the Office/MS365 camp which I expect will integrate better in Windows, but was still OK in MacOS. The MacBook is a better machine overall and if offered in a 15" I would have paid more for the Mac over this Samsung. Until that time comes, this does provide a good mix of light weight / large screen / value for my needs.
