Keyboard issue, BB won’t exchange; 2 week wait.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this brand new and after only 20 days the spacebar and some other keys are not returning properly after pressing. I tried to exchange but was told it was over the 15 day return period. I was then told I can purchase the extended 60 day return policy for around $50, so I said fine lets do it. Then I was told I couldn’t exchange it because I bought it on sale and would have to pay an additional $600 to exchange it. I was next told the only other option was to contact Samsung and do the manufacture warranty. I called Samsung and I was told the only option is to mail it to them for repair, which takes about two weeks! I need this for some classes im taking. Very disappointed.

Received a returned item without all accessories
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would like to rate the laptop more of a 4 but since it was VERY CLEARLY a returned item AND missing the OEM charger and didn't come with the SPEN I have to rate this as 2. Very disappointed in Best Buy for charging someone full price for a returned and incomplete item. If you are looking to buy this laptop I would recommend going into a store to ensure you get what you pay for, or purchase from another place. Only positive was the shipping was fast.

Screen issue
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Im disappointed it didnt work out. i was excited to own this laptop initially. I even took advantage of the opportunity to upgrade due to the cost savings compared to the lower-level edition. 3 weeks after my purchase I found a small crack on the screen. By the time I got to the store, it was a huge spider crack. I didn't drop the laptop, it was always in a sleeve when i took it outside of my home. luckily i was refunded it.

Manufacturing problem
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not buy. There is a manufacturing flaw with the screen which easily cracks when closed. The thin face of the screen hits the key board and cracks. Multiple complaints on Reddit. Samsung knows it is a flaw but will not fix. Will never buy another product from Samsung.

Fantastic Ultra-light, Ultra-Portable Laptop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 is thin, lite, very attractive, and huge for an ultra-light style laptop. The 16-inch OLED screen is gorgeous. The keyboard is equivalent to a full-sized keyboard with a squished number pad on the right. And the trackpad is larger than my cell phone. The sound is very good for a laptop this size. Battery life can last up to seven hours but is completely dependent on activity and power savings settings. Finally, the Galaxy book is designed to integrate into the Samsung Galaxy ecosystem. This is evidenced by the pre-loaded software suite specific to Galaxy family integration. Overall, this is a fantastic ultra-light, ultra-portable laptop. Setup and Updates: Setup, like every computer these days, is time consuming. For me, Windows update took about two hours to apply all updates. Samsung Update, an application designed to keep Samsung specific drivers, Bios, and programs up to date, took another two hours and included software patches to Samsung and Intel specific applications, system drivers, and two Bios updates. Phew! The laptop did at full power during the updates. This caused the Galaxy Book to get hot enough to activate the fans. The fans get noisy at full speed. The fans tend to remain quiet or deactivated during normal operations. Keyboard: The keyboard is very comfortable to type with. However, it may take an hour or two to get comfortable with it. This is partly due to the keyboard positioned on the top half of the control surface. The keys have a very shallow travel. And massive size of the touchpad will force you to either turn off the touchpad or type with wrist in the air. More on that in the Touchpad section below. There is good resistance to depressing each key. For those who like to hear their typing, there is an audible thunk when the key bottoms out. However, the keyboard is not loud enough that it will bother anyone in the next cubical or next room unless you are a very heavy typist. The keyboard has a full number pad. It is squished onto the right side of the keyboard. For my uses, it is a nice to have, but would have preferred a smaller touch pad and larger 10-keyless style keyboard. Not really a con. Just a preference. Overall, the keyboard feels good. The F-Keys are very useful due to the Function Lock or Function + F12 that Samsung included. This allows the F-Keys to either be used fulltime as traditional F-Keys or as the Alt functions of those keys such as Settings, Volume, Screen Share, Touch Pad toggle, keyboard and screen brightness, camera and microphone lock toggle, and performance mode quick presets. My preference is locking the keyboard to Alt functions since I use volume and screen brightness multiple times a day. Touchpad: The touchpad, for me, is a mixed bag. The surface is as smooth as glass. Responsiveness is near instantaneous when applications behave themselves. Overall, it is an excellent touchpad. My issues come down to the touchpads ginormous size as well as how far forward it pushes the keyboard. Essentially, this increases the chances of my wrists brushing past the touchpad surface. This can, and does, cause the mouse pointer to bounce when using MS Office applications. This is an issue for all my laptops from any maker over the last 10 years. The large touch pad just exasperates this “valuable” Microsoft hidden feature. To offset this “feature”, I typically rock an external USB mouse and disable the track pad when at my desk. The Galaxy book has two USB-Cs and one USB-A port to support a wide array of mice and other peripherals. Screen: The screen is probably the most advanced OLED I have used on a laptop. It is bright, colorful, very responsive to touch, and works well with the pen. The screen supports a variable refresh rate, on by default, between 48Hz to 120 Hz. The screen is also very responsive to touch commands using finger, fingers, or the included Samsung Pen. The Samsung Pen glides across the screen with zero resistance. In many cases, the pen can be used in place of a mouse. However, some programs, such as MS Office, switch to a drawing or handwriting mode when the pen tip is detected. So, experiment. Video is a bit of a mixed bag. Social Media, such as YouTube, look good. I did not notice any artifacts in the video stream. Colors looked accurate and motion looked smooth. Netflix, on the other hand, seemed to drop a few frames here and there. In this instance, I turned off the screen’s variable refresh to resolve the issue. Hinges on the screen offer some resistance but are otherwise very smooth. Flipping the screen instantly activates Windows Tablet Mode. I got some real enjoyment using the Galaxy Book in Portrait mode with OneNote and the Samsung Pen. The screen was very responsive, accurate, and smooth. Samsung Notes and NoteShelf are available by default. Pen: The Pen is the size and weight of a #2 pencil. The Galaxy book does not have storage mechanism for the pen. It will stick magnetically to parts of the laptop but nothing I would use as an alternative to storage. The Pen has a flat edge to prevent the pen from rolling away. The rounded side has a special functions button which can interact with Windows as a left click or with art programs as an erase function. The pen tip is sharp but not dangerously so. This may be partly why it glides so smoothly across the screen. The Samsung Pen, unlike the Surface Pen, does not support an eraser function on the eraser end of the pencil. I am old school enough that I habitually flip my pencil over to use the eraser when I make a mistake. I wish it had this feature. Otherwise, the pen is excellent. Fingerprint Scanner: The power button doubles as a fingerprint scanner. It is very good. However, it does not work when the laptop is in tablet mode. Sound: The speakers are clear at all volumes. To test, I played Trainwreck of Electro Swing from A Hat in Time game. You find this on YouTube. Heavy bass comes it at 19 seconds. This laptop has no bass or lower mid-range. For social media, talk radio, conference calls, or other activity that favors clarity over dynamic range then the built is speakers are enough. Performance: Performance seems pretty good for a low power device. Applications load quickly. I can run MS Edge with 20 tabs open and still be able to launch Excel, Word, or PowerPoint quickly. I even threw in stock market application, the updates every second all day, just for good measure. No problem! The 1TB SSD is also fast enough to keep me humming along with little to no disruptions with load or save times. I do notice the performance is reduced when on battery power than when in AC Power. But, this is expected to extend battery time when away from AC Power. NPU and AI: The system does come with the shiny new Co-Pilot key. Unfortunately, this only launches the Co-Pilot web application. This does not use the built in NPU. I could find a single pre-installed application that uses the NPU. So….? Power Supply: The Power Supply is a large wall wart with a USB-C port. The supplied USB cable is only five feet long. This is not a very long cable compared to a laptop with a traditional external power supply. For me, since my power outlet is seven fee away, I am forced to run on battery power when working from my desk. I will now need to purchase a quality USB-C cable that is seven feet or longer if I want all day productivity at my desk. Final Thoughts: Overall, I think this is a fantastic ultra-light, ultra-portable laptop. Beautiful screen, a lot of real estate for use with the pen in tablet mode, fast, responsive, plenty of ram and storage, lots of connectivity options, and a comfortable and lite experience. There are some minor annoyances but nothing that makes me think twice about owning the Galaxy Book4 Pro 360. I hope you found this review useful.

Great Build Quality, Screen, and Performance
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.-=|=-Design-=|=- I like the thinness of this laptop. It’s a bit thinner than a MacBook Pro, but maybe thicker than the air. It uses a very nice presumably aluminum chassis. There are vent holes on the bottom and rubber feet that elevate it slightly above the desk. It’s contoured so it’s a bit thicker at the back and thinner at the front. The 360 design allows the screen to fold all the way back of the device so it can be used in tablet mode. This disables the keyboard and you can use the excellent stylus to interact and draw on the screen. Samsung went with a large track pad. I’m not sure how I feel about it, it works just fine and so far no real issues as the palm detection works fine. I think I would have preferred a smaller trackpad with the keyboard brought closer to the front but it does allow for plenty of palm rest. The keyboard is nothing special although I do find myself typing fairly quickly and accurately on it right off the bat. Although I do like a number pad, especially on laptops 15” and larger, it does seem very condensed. The layout is just different enough that I have to look at it to use it until I can get used to it. -=|=-Display-=|=- The display on this is beautiful. It uses what Samsung calls dynamic AMOLED2X. Samsung is well known for making vibrant crisp displays and this is no exception. It uses a 2880 x 1800 resolution but at a smooth 120hz refresh rate. The screen gets up to 400 nits which is on the low end of acceptable brightness. I personally think 600 nits should be the new standard but you won’t be disappointed. The screen looks good at 400 nits. The touch screen is nice and responsive. I really like they include a stylus and the tip is fantastic for writing on the screen. Whether you want to peck the screen as you browse the web or take handwritten notes, it works well, and it magnetically attaches to the lid so you can keep track of it. -=|=-CPU/GPU/RAM-=|=- This laptop comes packed with the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H variant. This is intel’s newest high efficiency CPUs. Getting more power out of lower wattages, you get more performance per watt compared to previous generations. As far as everyday use, I don’t have any issues loading apps, quickly switching between open apps. 16GB of DDR5 RAM allows for simultaneous open apps and multiple browser tabs open without lag or stutter. Using common benchmarks to measure relative performance, I was getting 8,042 score from 3Dmark’s TimeSpy on the CPU, 749 Multicore score out of Cinebench 2024, and Geekbench multicore score of 12,619. This is decent performance for intel at this CPU wattage. This should be fine for light photo and video editing or touch ups, however, I wouldn’t recommend this PC for heavy video editing or sound production. As for games, it’s a mixed bag. If you’re seeing intel Arc for integrated GPU and you’re hoping to play AAA title games, don’t get too excited. I struggled to play usual rotation of games. New World is an open world RPG and it had issues loading the game world and struggled to hit 30 FPS. Tribes 3: Rivals had noticeable stuttering, presumably from CPU or GPU throttling. I did get Apex to play on training grounds and was able to run around and shoot targets but it was choppy at best. I do recommend gaming on this machine, but stick to low demand games. E-Sports titles and 2d games should work fine, provided that intel has optimized drivers. -=|=-Other Thoughts-=|=- Battery life is impressive. I’m spending hours just using it without seeing it get below 50%. I started a YouTube video and just left it playing for hours. After about 6 hours it was still going and still had around 33% battery life. If you’re looking to get away from plugging in your laptop every time you need to use it, I’m impressed with the optimization in this laptop. I found that it pulled 65w from the wall and Samsung included a 65w charger and a lengthy cable. There is some software bloat that comes with this PC. I don’t always mind if it provides some functionality. Samsung has a suite of apps such as settings and updates which seem to be lightweight and provide some features specific to Samsung. There are other apps such as notes, second screen, quick share, and galaxy experience which are either Samsung versions of apps you can find alternatives of or provides functionality with other Samsung products. It also comes with MacAfee antivirus pre-installed which I’m not a fan of. Sound is pretty good. It gets loud without being distorted. It’s a laptop so I’m not expecting deep bass or room filling audio. I do expect clarity and volume, which this has. The camera is okay, should work fine for video calls. The microphone however, leaves much to be desired. In room with the TV on, it picked up all noise in the room and the audio quality was not super great. It’s nice to see WiFi 6e. WiFi 7 is out there and it would have been even better to see that implemented, but 6e is nothing to snuff at. Easily handles large downloads. Speed tests were giving me 820Mbps down on a 1Gig internet speed. No ethernet but you can always use an adapter with one of the two thunderbolt ports which also serve as charge ports. There’s a micro SD slot, headphone jack, HDMI, and a single USB-A. For a thin and light 16”, I think they did well with ports. Thunderbolt 4 will let you expand if needed.

An Excellent Workhorse Laptop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Samsung's GalaxyBook4 Pro 360 is an excellent choice for anyone wanting a new laptop for work, school, or just needing to upgrade their personal laptop. In my case it was all 3 reasons, the GalaxyBook4 was going to be replacing my old ASUS 2-in1 Ultrabook from 2019, I really like my old laptop so I was a bit anxious about switching. However, after trying out and comparing my new GalaxyBook4 to my old laptop, I like it alot and feel good about upgrading. The screen is a 16" AMOLED Touch Screen with a 3K (2880x1800) resolution and 120hz refresh rate. Its also a 360 or in other words a 2-in-1, so youll be able to fold it till it can be made into a tablet. This is something my old laptop could do and for sure I wanted my upgrade to be able to do, the GalaxyBook4 met that mark. The speakers on the laptop are really good, they are AKG tuned with Dolby Atmos support and will be excellent for video calls, listening to music, or just watching your favorite online shows. The biggest difference from my old laptop and my new GalaxyBook4 is the amount/types of ports and the included accessories. Normally I would consider these changes negative but they arent actually bad just new. The GalaxyBook4 has a decent number of ports, 6 to be exact, those being: MicroSD, USB A, 3.5mm audio/mic, 2 x USB C Thunderbolt, and an HDMI 2.1. These are a great selection of ports for most uses and tasks, with the most impressive being the HDMI 2.1 port which can receive high-resolution video in 4K/120hz or 8K/60hz, and the two USB C Thunderbolt ports which give incredibly fast charging. The accesories included are great, they are the charger and a stylus pen. The charger is a USB C cable and powerblock, so if you lose or break your cable you can use another USB C cable, this is a surprisingly consumer friendly design so you arent forced to buy a new charger that will only work with the device. The stylus is cool because it can work as your mouse and writing/drawing tool, it feel high quality and intuitive. The UI is centered around Samsung devices so it designed to link up and sync all your Samsung devices, which for me was great because I have an S23 Ultra and a Galaxy Watch. It was all surprisingly easy and while I dont use every app I like knowing I can transfer and save my notes from my phone onto my laptop. Aesthetically its gorgeous, its ultra thin and sleek with a nice steel grey color. Under the hood its got a 1Tb of SSD storage, 16GB RAM, Intel Core Ultra 7 Evo, and an Intel Arc GPU. Overall its an awsome laptop and I'm extremely happy to have upgraded, I feel pretty good knowing that my GalaxyBook4 will be able to handle whatever my work or school will bring.

First Galaxy Laptop and love it!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive been a Samsung Galaxy fan for years. My last non Galaxy phone was probably a pixel 6. But even after trying so many other phones I always come back to Galaxies. So when looking at possible new laptops to replace my main Ive had for awhile I decided to give the Galaxy Book Pro a shot. And its everything I want in a premium laptop and more! The build is so good. It feels so thin and light that it makes me wonder how so much can be packed into so thin of a frame. And no matter what orientation its in it feels super solid. It also has every single type of port you will need and then some. I didnt even need to add a USB hub. The screen has to be my favorite thing. I just recently switched over to OLED on my TV after having OLED screens on my Galaxy phones for years. So it just made sense to get a laptop with one too. And it looks amazing! Its plenty bright, but the main attraction is the contrast. The deep blacks make everything else pop in a way that no other type of display can. So not only does this make videos, games, etc. great. But even boring work related stuff like typing, etc. looks great. This is also my first laptop with an S-Pen. I didnt think I would need this but after using it its awesome. Being able to draw on the screen for notes, edits, and stuff is very convenient as well as being fun to draw and sketch with. Battery life specs say up to 21 hours. Thats of course on very light use. But even with medium usage it gets about 6 hours, and about 3-4 with heavy use. This is enough to get things done for the most part. They keyboard and touchpad feel very premium with nice feel and accuracy. Im use to typing on a keyboard with more travel so it took a bit to get use to the keys. But once acclimated its very good. When it comes to sound I was pleasantly surprised. The AKG speakers sound great with no noticeable distortion even at louder volumes. I might add a BT speaker, but even without one the sound is good. And of course the performance is top notch. There was never any lag or delays. It boots up in seconds. The 1TB SSD has space for days! And with 16gbs of Ram and the Intel Core Ultra 7 everything is snappy and always ready to go. So in summary I love this laptop. It does everything I want and more and does it better then most. And with so many features that make it not only a breeze to use, but also fun its perfect for me. Highly recommended!

Samsung hits the mark....again
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been using this laptop for about a week now and like every other Samsung device I've used, this hits a home run. First it is incredibly thin and very sleek. It like most laptops it feels like something you know you dont want to drop, as that normally turns out badly. The screen has a brilliant display. The dynamic Amoled 16" screen works wonders and looks absolutely fantastic. Deep rich colors. This device also comes with a stylus pen. Im personally not a fan of these, but it has one for those of you who are fans. The speakers are acceptable nothing game changing but it does have clear and crisp sound. 2 USB ports is also helpful when needed. Battery life is impressive and charges and holds a charge better than most. Standard keyboard with backit keys is always a plus. I like the fingerprint reader to easily access the laptop and it is also very easy to set up. It's powered by intel core ultra 7. This is perfect for web-based browsing, gaming for entry to mid-level gaming. Comes with Microsoft 365 which works perfect for everyday use. Comes with 16g worth of memory. Again this is useage dependent so some may want larger storeage. Mouse pad response is excellent. Touch screen on the laptop itself also is very responsive and no real lag is found. Again this is a very reliable and well functioning laptop which I would absolutely recommend.

A worthy desktop replacement for business users
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 16" is a standout laptop that is well suited for the business user, if not the most portable. Powered by an Intel Ultra Core i7 processor, this laptop runs smooth and quick for productivity and graphics intensive apps. I use a graphics editing program that uses up a lot of processing power and memory that has a built in bench mark test. The benchmark on the Samsung Book4 Pro was only about 10% slower than on my much more "powerful" desktop PC and that to me is very impressive. The chassis is remarkably thin for a 16" screen, yet Samsung managed to get a full size USB-A port and HDMI port, as well as two USB-C ports and a slot for a microSD card. Likewise, the weight is held in check, although at around 3.5lbs it's not truly portable. College students won't want to carry this around everywhere they go. However, I think this laptop is ideally suited for the business traveler who needs a nice big presentation screen and power for presentations. Battery life is quite good, if not remarkable. The laptop lasted about 6hrs streaming video with the screen at full brightness. Speaking of the screen, it is big, bright and beautiful. The clarity is remarkable. This is a very nice laptop that I would definitely recommend.

Galaxy Book 4 Pro 360
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Galaxy Book 4 360 Pro is a standout in the world of convertible laptops, offering a blend of performance, portability, and versatility. This device is designed to cater to a wide range of users, from professionals to students, and even casual users who need a reliable and flexible computing solution. In this review, we’ll explore its key features, including its impressive screen quality, lightweight and thin design, and versatility in handling various workloads. We’ll also discuss a few minor drawbacks, such as the lack of a dedicated space for the included pen, the slightly off-kilter feel of the keyboard due to the inclusion of a number pad, and its inability to handle large platform games. Screen Quality One of the most striking features of the Galaxy Book 4 360 Pro is its screen. The display is vibrant and sharp, with excellent color accuracy and brightness. Whether you’re editing photos, watching videos, or simply browsing the web, the screen provides a visually pleasing experience. The high resolution ensures that text is crisp and images are detailed, making it a joy to use for extended periods. The touch and stylus input are also highly responsive, enhancing the overall user experience and making it a great choice for creative professionals and note-takers alike. Lightweight and Thin Design Portability is a key consideration for many users, and the Galaxy Book 4 360 Pro excels in this area. It is impressively lightweight, making it easy to carry around in a backpack or briefcase. Despite its light weight, it doesn’t compromise on build quality, feeling sturdy and well-constructed. The slim profile of the device adds to its portability, allowing it to fit comfortably in tight spaces. This combination of light weight and thin design makes it an ideal companion for frequent travelers and those who need a reliable device on the move. Workload Versatility The versatility of the Galaxy Book 4 360 Pro is another major selling point. It seamlessly transitions between different modes, such as laptop, tablet, and tent modes, thanks to its flexible hinge design. This adaptability makes it suitable for a wide range of tasks, from typing documents and creating presentations to drawing and taking notes. The device’s compatibility with various accessories, including external monitors and keyboards, further extends its functionality. Whether you’re working from home, at the office, or on the go, the Galaxy Book 4 360 Pro adapts to your needs effortlessly. Performance Under the hood, the Galaxy Book 4 360 Pro packs a punch with its powerful processor and ample RAM. It handles multitasking with ease, allowing you to run multiple applications simultaneously without any noticeable lag. The fast SSD storage ensures quick boot times and rapid file access, enhancing overall productivity. Whether you’re working on complex spreadsheets, editing videos, or playing games, the Galaxy Book 4 360 Pro delivers smooth and responsive performance. However, it’s important to note that this device is not designed to handle large platform games. Users looking for a gaming laptop might need to consider other options. Battery Life Battery life is another area where the Galaxy Book 4 360 Pro shines. It offers impressive longevity on a single charge, allowing you to work or play for extended periods without needing to plug in. This is particularly beneficial for users who are often on the go and may not have easy access to power outlets. The efficient power management ensures that you can get through a full day of use without worrying about running out of battery. Connectivity The Galaxy Book 4 360 Pro comes equipped with a variety of connectivity options, including USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, and a headphone jack. This array of ports ensures that you can easily connect your peripherals and accessories without the need for additional adapters. The inclusion of Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 provides fast and reliable wireless connectivity, further enhancing the device’s versatility. Keyboard and Trackpad The keyboard on the Galaxy Book 4 360 Pro is comfortable to type on, with well-spaced keys and good travel. The backlit feature is a nice touch, making it easy to type in low-light conditions. However, the inclusion of a number pad, while useful for those who frequently work with numbers, makes the keyboard feel slightly off-kilter. This might take some getting used to, especially for users who are accustomed to a more centered typing experience. The trackpad is responsive and accurate, supporting multi-touch gestures for a more intuitive user experience. Pen Storage One minor drawback of the Galaxy Book 4 360 Pro is the lack of a dedicated space to store the included pen. While the pen itself is a valuable addition, enhancing the device’s functionality for tasks like drawing and note-taking, the absence of a built-in storage solution can be inconvenient. Users may find themselves misplacing the pen or having to carry it separately, which detracts slightly from the overall portability and convenience of the device. Conclusion In conclusion, the Galaxy Book 4 360 Pro is a highly versatile and portable device that excels in several key areas. Its vibrant screen, lightweight and thin design, and powerful performance make it a standout choice for a wide range of users. While the lack of a dedicated pen storage space, the slightly off-kilter feel of the keyboard due to the inclusion of a number pad, and its inability to handle large platform games are minor inconveniences, they do not significantly detract from the overall quality and usability of the device. If you’re in the market for a reliable and adaptable portable computer, the Galaxy Book 4 360 Pro is definitely worth considering.
