Technically, not true now that the Note 9 is out, but for the price, this phone is the one to beat. Good battery, lagless experience, great screen, open to any network. I got the S8 originally but was disappointed in the user experience and flimsy feeling. The Note 8 fixed all of that and had solutions to problems I didn't even know I had. This is the phone that made me believe in Android again. Especially for those that pay for their phones outright, I'd consider you to really evaluate the specs and performance of the Note 9 to see if it's worth the extra money. Going to be with this guy for awhile.

I love Samsung phones! This is my 2nd Samsung phone in the past 12 years! Long lasting. I still own my 1st Samsung phone and keep it as a backup. The only reason I had to get this new phone is that my apps started to get obsoleted & would not function. I love the pen feature. I'm old school and like writing notes. Great for jotting down quick notes and for taking pictures, then using the pen with the screen writing feature.

Takes great pictures and videos. Like the display very life like pictures. I like the features of this phone and will recommend it to anyone looking for a great phone.

This phone has an excellent camera. The pen works very well allowing me complete control when writing. Phone charges quickly and retains charge longer than my S7

I admit that I go hard on my phones because I see no gain in throwing away an outdated phone in perfect conditions. So, no bulky protective cases (and no beaded seat rests either). While the technical and operational merits of the Note8 are unquestionable, the curved all glass design has some drawback - it is not as sturdy as the previous models with a sturdier (uglier) metal frame. My Note 5 is completely banged up but no damage at all to the screen. I dropped the Note8 twice - one time a hairline crack across the front screen, and a second time, crushed corner on the glass back. None of the blemishes so far impede functionality, but I did not test whether water proofing got impaired. Using an ugly cover on the elegant phone seems a heresy, but dropping is definitely carries more risk than on the older models.

Screen size is more than enough! I haven't had any issues with it at all. The battery life lasts well over a day. It comes with Bixby app which is very helpful

This is my second Note product and so far it is a great phone. I like the larger screen and enhanced features such as Bixby and the new capability of the stylus.

My first Samsung phone, and after reading the reviews on GSMArena decided to take the plunge. The dual camera setup takes incredible pics, which was one of the main reasons I wanted this phone. Not a fan of a dedicated button on the side just for Bixby, it's quite annoying because I always seem to hit it somehow. I wish there was a way to reassign the button to something more useful. Impressed by being able to block calls natively, but unfortunately blocking texts won't happen without replacing the standard texting app...which are crap. Battery life is amazing...if you keep it powered off..otherwise one slow day at work and you'll drain it to nothing before the end of the day. Aside from all that it's still an amazing product and I don't regret it, looking forward to using it to it's full potential.

Love the phone! You can do so much with it, and I'm still learning how to use the different features. And Bixby can be annoying but still a convenience to have.

Phone works great! Had it for about 5 months now with differnt service providers. Had the galaxyS8 before the Note. Note is a bit bigger and has the pen.

I had a S6 Edge+ before and wanted to go back to a Note as I had a Note 3.Its lightning fast and much more responsive at the keyboard. I'm a Samsung fan!!!

This Is the best Jewel ever made by sumsung so far. Great battery life, monster strong Screen. Fell straight on a steel metal platform but no Crack. Amazing!

i like Samsung but did not want to invest in note 9 so got this at a good price. Did not see any problems yet in 1 month. has a better battery life.

It has been a truly fantastic phone during my time of use. The S Pen is a killer. The phone still works great even after all this time.

Great phone right out of the box. I'm enjoying the mix of great design combined with feature packed functionality. The camera results on the Note 8 are far better than any of the past Note phones I've had. There is a small learning curve but we'll worth the effort. While the iPhone 8 and X have attractive features, the Note 8 just stands out!

Hands down the best phone I have ever had in my life. Note series has always been my go to, and its a better phone than i could have ever imagined.

This phone is amazing. When compare with iPhone X which is getting stuck repeatedly, note 8 performance is really good. The battery life is exceptional.

Investigated several phones and based on ease of use and quality selected the Gala,y. Have not been disappointed. Works great,easy to use. Excellent product.
