This tablet is a replacement for a Digiland tablet that I bought for my Father (82 years old) just over a year ago. He really caught onto using the original tablet and could barely put it down. It was a really good entry-level tablet to get him used to one. After having my Galaxy Tab S2 for almost a year, I noticed a huge difference between my screen and the one on his Digiland so I recommended that he upgrade to the new Tab A. He couldn't be happier! He reads books from the Play store, browses Facebook, plays games and has really enjoyed the much better screen resolution and colors. I would highly recommend it (as would he) to anyone looking for an extremely high quality tablet and an upgrade to an iPad since you can control what you do on it instead of iTunes controlling everythintq. Want to load music or movies? - hook it up and copy. Want to organize files? - launch the file manager app and organize away! No iTunes to get in the way to stop you from doing what you want to do. Get one - you won't be sorry.

In my second semester of college I knew I wanted a lightweight tablet or computer. After looking into computers and tablets, I ended up deciding to go with this tablet. I love it! It is so compact and lightweight and perfectly fits in my backpack! Also, I can easily access Microsoft office programs which is a plus! I love it and would highly recommend it!

I've had the tablet for a week now. Ive previously used iPads but did not want to purchase one. PROS: lighweight, easy to setup and use. Great resolution. CONS: WIFI seems slower than my phone and/or laptop but not significant. I can watch Netflix just fine. Does not have a vibrate function for example for notifications or to provide feedback when pressing the buttons on either side of the home button. Picky.

First of all, I bought this more for research/internet browsing, blogging, and apps than entertainment. I haven't used it much yet, but it seems to do a lot of the things I need. It has great battery, lots of helpful apps, is easy to organize documents, and browsing has been very easy. I have not used it much yet, but I believe it will meet all of my needs.

Wife is primary user who wanted a bigger screen to view her ballroom dance practice videos rather than using small video camera screen. Screen size is right, lightweight to hold. Also she likes to text and email which is handier than a smartphone. Wifi only function she is still getting used to (she is not a technical person) but where she typically uses has wifi so it is fine not to have 4LGE communications.

I love everything about my tablet! The camera is great, the speed is excellent and it is user friendly.

A nice screen, with decent battery life. Good performance...All things considered, for the money, it's a Great middle of the road tablet that won't break the bank.

I've had no issues with this tablet since I bought it while on a business trip out of town. My brother in law told me that I'd use it more than I would be using my laptop and he was right! I find that all the apps I need are on the tablet and I'm leaving my laptop at home. I found a tablet cover for this on Amazon.com, that comes with a portable, wireless mini key board, which works great with this tablet. It's like having a mini laptop on the go.

Bought this as a gift for my lady and she loves it. I have a ipad but it kept on crashing in the middle of games, web searches and or just in general. So i brought her this for V-Day and its awwsome. The ability to add more storage and light weight too. Will buy myself one and dump the ipad

This tablet should meet and exceed all your needs in a tablet. I purchased this instead of a laptop and I am happy with my decision. I do just about everything on my galaxy from taking meeting notes to playing my favorite games. I haven't been on my desktop since I purchased this tablet!

Battery life on this tab is much better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 Plus wifi I used previously. I can go days without charging. Display resolution is not as luxurious as the previous tab but still more than adequate. The larger size is great for web browsing. The preinstalled Microsoft Office apps make this a great productivity tool for me. Easily connects to Amazon Fire Stick for TV streaming. Great functionality for the price!

I read reviews on lots of tablets in this price range and lower. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A had loads of reviews, 1500 or so, and most of them are positive. I am thrilled with it and happy I did not settle. Its fast, good battery life, awesome screen. No complaints at all. Undecided? Buy it.

This is our 2nd Samsung Galaxy and couldn't be happier. Great size for reading & game playing. Too big to carry around for picture taking which Is a shame because it takes great photos with 5 mp camera.

Got this one for my mom. As her first tablet she's very happy with it. She really appreciates the stylus to help her with note taking and using it as a pointer/tapper. Set up didn't take long and it's new-user friendly. The pre-loaded apps are helpful and she was pleasantly surprised that she didn't have to un-install them all.

I absolutel love, love, LOVE my new Android tablet!! I love the color and the slim feature of the cover and also, how simple and easy it was to make sure it's protected!! It is honestly the best tablet in every aspect and feature that I have ever came in contact with!! The screen is the perfect size; not too big and definitely not one of those "wrinkles are forming because I'm squinting like I'm 80 and still can't see" screen!! And being that I am going back to college I now will not have to buy another laptop because this has all the necessities for schooling as well as the convenience features to be able to enjoy gaming, social, media and so much more So I am very thankful that y'all had these items available for purchase and making this the best purchase I've made; for the present and for the future!!

The easiness of the tablet stands out for me. I was quite surprised and happy with the weight. I am a converted iPad user for life. Thank you Galaxy.

The Tablet is the right size and weight. It performs as expected and is user friendly.

The tablet is great size for using at college. Writing notes with the s-pen is easy and the s-note program makes it easy to edit and convert to text. It is lightweight and the battery life is exceptional. Recommend getting a screen protector and case to protect tit from scratches and drops. Would purchase again.
