Customers often highlight the Galaxy Tab S3's impressive screen quality, ease of use, and long battery life as significant strengths. The included S Pen and lightweight design also receive considerable praise. However, some customers find the price to be a drawback, and a few express concern about the limited storage capacity. Overall, the positive feedback on key features outweighs the negative comments.

The tablet was fine but too fragile. It fell 2 ft out of the SAMSUNG case and the LCD broke. I owned it less than 2 months and had barely used it. Five Samsung employees agreed a replacement was in order since the case design is flawed and it fell such a small distance. An employee put paperwork through for a replacement but without notifying me, Samsung changed its mind. Customer service has made it clear that I'm not a valuable customer, so I will no longer be a customer.

First tab s3 broke after three days. Second tab s3 broke after two days. Third tab s3 broke after two days. Ship last one to Samsung because best buy could not fix any of them. After talking to Samsung for three days they had me ship it to them. They had me ship it to the wrong location. Took me two days on the phone to find that out. They are now shipping it back to me. I will leave out all the swear words!!!

I have had this for only 1 year and 3 months and it has broken twice now and gotten stuck in a boot loop. This last time was right after an update samsung pushed out. Does apple have these problems?

I bought this Samsung tablet because I have a Galaxy S7 smartphone which I love. All I ever hear is how Apple is so much better, but I disagree. Screen size is excellent. I'd highly recommend buying the optional keyboard case - so convenient and handy. The processing speed is excellent. I watch Youtube videos plus movies and shows from AmazonPrime on this tablet, and I've never had an issue with delays in watching anything. The picture quality is fantastic. Terrific Tablet.

The USB C port is not worth Anything

Samsung Tab S3 is a big disappointment. The USB C port cannot be used to mirror the tablet on a TV . The pen feature is okay, but the fact that you cannot mirror the screen using an HDMI cable makes no sense. SAMSUNG if you want to compete with apple , pls bring back the MHL support on the USB C

Very Nice Tablet

This tablet is absolutely beautiful and feels solid even though it is not too heavy. The build is quality and feels like it will last a while, unlike most other tablets with plastic backs.
The response of the touchscreen is very quick, and it looks beautiful. I had absolutely no issues installing the extra memory card that I bought, as it came with a paperclip-like tool to get to the tray. It also came with a few extra tips for the stylus/pen.
I had a few issues with the pen by accidentally clicking the context menu button while using the pen, but that's just an adjustment I need to make with how I hold it... I figured it out pretty quickly.
I am sure it is just a matter of changing some settings, but when I laid it down for a day without using it, It went from 100% charge to 15%, but that was only once, and I had left all the apps open in the background.
The one problem I haven't been able to figure out is the fingerprint scanner. I'm not knocking any stars off because that is not something very important to me, but it WAS a little frustrating to configure my fingerprint, and then holding it exactly the same way while it's locked, it would not recognize the same finger, 10 seconds after configuration. Anytime I try to use it, it is the 4th or 5th attempt that unlocks the device, if at all.
I'd highly recommend this tablet to friends and family.

Excellent Android Tablet

I upgraded from a Sony Xperia Z2 tablet to the S3 and really like it. (has had it for about 4 months, got a very good price when it was on sale.) The display is beautiful and it comes with a lot more horsepower. It plays games like Dragon Quest VIII smoothly and pretty much handles all the workload I send to it without any lag. Battery life is good enough to me. It also received the update to Android 9.0 Pie and periodic security updates. I also like the built in blue light filter which helps protect the eyes. All in all very satisfied.

Great screen, worthless fingerprint reader

This tablet has a great, bright, high-resolution screen. Eminently readable, movies streamed in HD look great. The pen is super responsive and feels great writing on the screen. I never had any problem with wifi connections or bluetooth. The fingerprint reader, on the other hand, worked maybe 1 in 30 tries. I even loaded multiple fingerprints in memory, but none of them were reliable. You're probably better off sticking with a password or pattern, which you'll get kicked out to anyway after 5 failed attempts to login with a fingerprint. Save the time, and just go straight to the password. The materials used in construction are top notch. The back of the tablet is so glossy, I was convinced it still had some kind of protector on it, but it's just glass. Given those materials, I was expecting a lot of fingerprint smudges, but they really don't show up as much as other tablets. The keyboard case is an essential addition in my opinion. It keeps the tablet propped up at a nice angle for viewing, and while you're not going to write any books using that keyboard, it did great for miscellaneous text entry. The cover also stays securely fixed to tablet with magnets, but given that, it's odd that there's no automatic wake and lock when you lift or close the cover. The only thing keeping this from 5 stars is the fingerprint reader, but honestly, it's so annoying that it never works, and you interact with it every time you try to unlock the tablet. Even then, this is still the best Android tablet I've ever tried.

I purchased this tablet with high hopes. I used the tablet for an hour and lost 20% or more battery. The battery simply drains nonstop. I've been on my iPad Pro 9.7 for 2 1/2 hours building a website and only 9% lost

I feel like I have to preface this review with a disclaimer: I'm an Apple person. I have an iPhone and a Mac, but I decided to give the Samsung tablet a try. The design of this tablet is very sleek. It's thin but has a good feel to it.
It has fingerprint ID and that seemed to work very well, no issues after setting it up. The touchscreen is incredibly responsive and this particular model comes with the S Pen. I liked the features of the pen, but there's nowhere to store it with the tablet. On the old Note II and similar products, there was a place to store the stylus when not using it. I'm afraid I'll lose the S Pen when on the go.
As far as the overall user friendliness of this tablet goes, I have to be honest, I still prefer Apple. I'm sure this will probably earn me a few down votes from people, but I truly do like the intuitive design that Apple products offer. I consider myself fairly techy, but I feel like you just have to work so much harder with the S3 to figure out where even the simplest features are.
Overall, an excellent product that any Android fan would love. Probably not my first choice, but like I said, I am a bit biased.

This is a very good device. Nice design, easier to hold, fast, with a beautiful screen. The screen quality is what makes you fall in love with this device. You can't compare it with iPad's.
The pen works great and it's more precise than the previous models. It is very comfortable. I wish it would fit inside the tablet just like the note models.
It charges very quickly. Although it has a huge battery (6000 mAh) it charges way faster than my iPhone, which packs less than 3000 mAh battery.
I love the flexibility of Android. U can do far more with this tablet than any iPad. It can easily replace your laptop.
Cons:
Speakers are not loud at all. Considering that it has 4 speakers tuned by AKH I would expect a louder outcome. I can say that it is not as loud as my iPhone 7 Plus.
Battery life is not bad but it is not the 12 hours that Samsung promised. Although, that is mostly because of the nice and colorful screen and the nature of Android devices.
Fingerprint recognition is not great. Its not comparable with iPads. I always end up trying multiple times to get it right. It has issues when you touch it with an angle.
Although the black model is much more beautiful, the silver one shows less fingerprints.
Overall, I really recommend this device if you are willing to spend that much money. Especially, if you are deciding between iPad and Samsung.

Best Tablet Ever

I had an older galaxy note tablet that was stolen, then the new S came out with the wonderful OLED screen, but I missed the S-Pen. This not only makes up for it, but if you add the keyboard, it kills the laptop.
I went to my local Best Buy and they had a typing test to show off the keyboard and I was able to type at full speed on it.
The screen is BRIGHT. I have the slider around 5% and have it using reverse colors so most web pages and documents have black backgrounds, further saving battery, but the battery seems to last for hours.
Lets start with the less than perfect. The glass back feels strange and it feels a bit heavier, but not so much to create a problem.
The power and volume buttons are mushy instead of where I feel a click.
I need that pin thing to get the SD card slot open (and the microphone holes look the same).
The magnification effect means you can't place homescreen icons in some places in landscape.
The notification settings isn't configurable, so things I don't use are there, things I want are below or not there (e.g. shift between reverse color and normal).
SD card is by card's serial number, not just storage/externalsd, so swapping cards means pointing things at a new path.
Worse, there is no way to direct downloads to the external SD card (MyFiles seems to be crippled not to allow this where it can be done on phones)
I use a different default onscreen keyboard, and the external one when attached can't seem to understand it nor can I set even the old one as a default as it will ask me each time.
There are a few more minor things I hope get fixed in an update, but that list is surprisingly small.
One annoyance is there is only the USB 3.1 port, not a second microB USB2 so an adapter is needed. Also I miss the IR blaster when it would have been nice to have.
Still has the annoying nanny for the earphone volume (I'm plugging it into my car!) and adds a new one for maximum brightness. I know what I'm doing, let me get rid of Nannysung permanently via setting.
The Good:
Never run out of ram or even have it slow.
I mentioned the bright screen.
finally, a tablet loud enough to be heard over a noisy room.
The keyboard with case works very well and it is a hard connection (I've tried bluetooth versions but they never quite worked).
After getting an adapter, all the USB OTG type stuff (Seek Thermal, Ethernet, USB SD reader) work.
VERY FAST recharging with the adaptive charger
I haven't used the cameras much, but with limited tests they seem to work well enough.
Everything else just seems to work and work well. 5 stars, actually 4.98 with the few annoyances. But you should go and see it and try it for yourself, especially the keyboard case. Even the best onscreen keyboard is hard to use beyond a few paragraphs.
