I had the original Tab S 8". It still works but I got jealous of my wife's S2 as it loads the full page website, unlike my small tablet that loads like a small smartphone. I was choosing between the big s2 and this s3 bec of $150+ price difference. I finally decided on this one when it went on sale - the extra GB RAM and the pen is worth it! As for the screen, it looks the same as the s2 to me. Now my wife wants one too!

The Galaxy S3 tablet runs on a slower, older processor, the Qualcomm 820...which means this tablet is slower than iPads release over 2 years ago. For comparison, an iPhone 7 plus is 2x as fast in single threaded use cases e.g UI interaction, web asset load times. Users will feel this most when surfing the web, loading web content and background ADs really slow things down in the Chrome browser, scrolling becomes jerky as you wait for the page to load; loading theverge.com was painfully slow. Browsing web galleries from motortred.com or caranddriver.com was unbearable, feels like browsing on a Pentium 4; decent for the form factor, but not the price; especially when competing products can deliver at the same price point; seems like Samsung spent more on the OLED screen vs the SOC. Switching to a 3rd party browser e.g. Firefox with an adblocker installed made things better, but not all apps will use the 3rd browser for web rendering e.g. Google Now will always use the default Google browser. OLED screen is really nice, excellent contrast, blacks are inky black. Side button on the supplied stylus is annoying; the button engages too easily in daily use, it sits right below where the thumb would naturally rests when writing which has the effect of pulling up the shortcut launcher when you most don't want it to, e.g. writing notes in OneNote. Fingerprint sensor has a 50-75% hit rate; often requiring a double lift and rest to detect; the quad speakers are a dramatic improvement over the S2 tablet, but can display some distortion when set to 100%, best to leave it at 90%.

It has a great screen with HDR that looks awesome!

My second tablet. Upgraded from older Samsung version. Old one was good, Tab S3 is even better.

fast, light weight with a quality build. Got it on sale after S4 came out.

This was an upgrade from a Samsung 2014. It is much faster and seems to cause Less eye. strain

I upgraded from the 8" Tab S2 and I love the additional real estate on the screen. It also works great with my DJI Mavic Pro.

Samsung has itself a great tablet here.....fast, great display, and very user-friendly.

The Tab S3 is the best tablet I love how fast it is, I love the pen and those quad speakers.

I use this tablet to write notes and take pictures of projects. Smooth writing and great pen!

Purchased as an upgrade to a Galaxy Tab A. Not the "WOW" experience I was expecting or hoping for. In my opinion, not worth the price. It's a good tablet. Looks great, will run anything, but for the price, I was expecting more. Some of the games I play on it still lag and stutter. No, not talking about online games and ping time lag. I'm talking about just single player, offline casual games. I'd take it back, but I gave my old tablet away. Drop the price $200 and I'd go 4 stars.

Love the Super Amoled Display. Fast and responsive. Love the S Pen - especially the translate feature. Wish it had longer battery life - hence four stars rather than five.
