I bought it after I took a nasty fall. My phone was out of my reach, and I had to crawl home to get help. I wish I had this watch at the time!! All good now, and I am never without it. Thank you Samsung!!!

which watch would I have to purchase if i don't want to add a line but can still answer the phone and text messages and stuff ?

I don't know who messed up with the marketing here. Either Samsung told BestBuy this was an unlocked watch or BestBuy just assumed it. The point is, this "Unlocked" watch is unable to be joined to any network other than T-Mobile. It may just be because it is that new, but it doesn't give Best Buy an excuse. You cannot sell an Unlocked device if it only works with 1 carrier.

This unlocked LTE watch does not work on Verizon. Best Buy couldn't activate it and I took it to Verizon and they couldn't either. What's the point of an unlocked watch then?

The entire reason I want a stand-alone wearable device is so I can leave my phone behind. And while this device will allow that to some degree (the platform is pathetically low on the software capabilities), you have to be happy with listening to your music or having a phone conversation ON SPEAKER! Forget using it paired with wireless headphones because the Samsung developers didn't feel that would be a necessary feature of this device. I never considered asking before I purchased my watch, because it seems like it would be a no-brainer. Market a device that allows you to be functional without your phone and replace a fitness tracker, but NOT allow it to connect to earphones? Well, that's just stupid. Right? Big Fat Fail, Samsung!

They should really include in the description that this won't work on Verizon. Tmobile/ AT&T are on a different type of network so those are the only carriers this watch are compatible with.
