    I forgot I promised myself I wouldn't buy samsung

I use to be a Samsung fan back in 2010ish. But they've gone down hill A LOT. While the majority of my feedback is software based, I can't imagine things getting much better given samsung's track history. The only good things I can say about this watch are about it's hardware. The watch is really well built and the hardware on it is super capable of running a well-optimized operating system and accompanying apps. But that's all the good notes... The main reason I got this watch was to be able to quickly see and respond to texts I get on my phone. Text notifications use to show on my watch for a month but recently they've just started showing the notification logo with no text on the screen. So now it can't even do that. The software on this watch IS AWFUL, SHEER GARBAGE. - The OS is laggy and most times it won't respond to me flipping my wrist to see the time. - The app support is functional most of the time but apps crashing is a daily occurrence. - All health info HR, stress, sleep and O2 info are locked into the samsung apps. So no google fit support (even though it's running google's Watch OS?) - Battery life is abysmal. I keep my watch on battery saver most of the day and it still can't last longer than a day and a half. I don't run any third party apps on it... - Notifications stopped working about a month in... - You're locked into bixby for voice assistant and the speech to text "keyboard" is HOT GARBAGE. I'd give this watch a better rating if I expected samsung to fix any of these issues. Samsung, get your head out of your rear and just focus on hardware. Let someone else write the software, you're not up to par

The watch is amazing. For those that dont like thick big watches then this is for you. The only reason i am giving it 4 stars as opposed to 5 is due to the battery life. Its decent but doesnt hold the charge as much as my previous watch

I bought this watch since I joined a walking challenge at my previous job. Unfortunately, I was laid off after I purchased this watch. It measures your stress level, your body fat, your heart beat, and it gives you the option to record your ECG on this watch as well. The battery doesn't last that long but if you search for videos in YouTube on how to change some settings on your watch, the battery could easily last 2 days or even 3. However, one small complaint that I do have is that when I'm walking on the treadmill, the step counter will freeze once in a while and after a minute or two, it will display the correct number of steps. This is the only negative comment I have to say about this watch. Besides that, I do like it and I do recommend it.

The biggest hang up anyone will have right away is the battery life. While higher than other models of the Watch 4, it's a good bit smaller than the recent Watch 5 models and other comparible watches. That being said, as someone who doesn't really need more than a couple days out of the watch at a time and who mostly wanted a fancy notification machine in the Samsung ecosystem, it's been perfect for what I wanted. If you can get it at a discount and you're not too concerned about potentially losing some utility as a fitness tracker, this is definitely still a good choice.

    Great Smart Watch, But.....

I like everything about this watch, both as a time piece and as a smart device, however I'm not convinced moving from version 3 of the watch is enough of an upgrade for most people to justify the cost of this watch. The look of the watch is very similar to its predecessor and its functionality is nearly identical. Battery life is sufficient, not spectacular - I had hoped for a bigger improvement. I opted for a metal band over the stock rubber band and added a bezel cover. I still think this watch is the best smart watch on the market, preferring the round traditional face over the square Apple Watch. If this is your first smart watch, go for it. If you're looking to upgrade from version 3, you might wait to see what version 5 has to offer.

Excellent watch. I have owned every smartwatch Samsung made since the Gear S2. The move to Wear OS has been good so far and I have had no problems getting through 24 hours of use. The Samsung software and health apps are great and much better than Google. The only reasons I didn’t give it 5 stars is that Samsung doesn’t seem to understand that 12 hour time format doesn’t have a leading zero as am/pm replaces it. All their watchfaces have a leading zero and even the charge screen. Nobody wants to look at a useless zero as it’s for 24 hour only. A simple software update would fix this easily and they just don’t. The second reason is the band. The keeper loops just slide around. A simple keeper tooth to fit in a band hole would fix that. Otherwise it’s a winner and the best Android watch on the market.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is a versatile smartwatch that earns a solid four-star rating from me. Its wide range of functions is impressive and I find myself wearing it daily. However, the battery life could use some improvement; frequent recharging is a bit of a drawback. Additionally, the process of syncing apps with the phone could be smoother. Despite these minor issues, the watch's overall performance and features are commendable. Its capabilities make it a compelling choice, and personally, I wouldn't trade it for an Apple Watch.

This is the best Samsung watch, trust me I’ve have every single Samsung watch. My only con this is the worst battery on any Samsung watch. I’ve have Samsung watch lasted me 5 days. I’m getting 1 day 1/2 with this watch. I do a lot of travel for work. If I’m only going away for 2 days I don’t bring my watch charger. If I’m going for one day I need to make sure I bring my charger with this watch just in case. If I didn’t trade my galaxy watch 3 I would of rerun it but it’s growing on me and I just charge it every night. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The addition of Wear OS has made this watch superb. Depending on whether you have always screen on you can get up to 2 days battery life. I like all the watch faces available. The physical rotating bezel makes it easy to navigate to wear you need to be . Functionality is great and looks nice. I have the GPS/WiFi version and it communicates flawlessly with my Z Fold 3 making a perfect combination. I don't miss the apple watch at all and the EKG feature which is why I purchased it works very well although not quite as well as the apple watch but very close. I just wish they would add Google assistant. Bixby is okay but would prefer Google Assistant.

Great watch, before i purchased my initial thought was always why would i need a smart watch. Get one and it takes getting used to on the wrist all the time. Ive seen some reviews where the battery will only last them a few hours and i can say ive had that happen once and i believe it was due to a setting for the pulse and stress reading to be done continuously. When i changed it, i noticed battery life to be around the 24- 36 hour range at best. Its a neat watch with cool features. Ive bought some watch bands from amazon and honestly the original bands still feel the best and dont make the watch look out of place.

So far I'm loving this watch. Big step up from the frontier I've been wearing for years. The watch is fast and very smooth. The screen is bright and I love the always on display. The only con is the band. Come on Samsung! Why on earth would you go with such an awful band? The charging pad is pretty lame as well. No USB C. It's 2021 man, come on! The cord doesn't detach from the pad either. Super uncool and crappy. If I buy an after market charger I will go out of my way not to buy Samsung. That being said the watch it self is a beast. Looks great, feels good on the wrist. It's a winner.

Everything everyone else has said, battery life is meh, even with every battery sucking app turned off. The charger magnet is weak as heck. Falls off if the watch moves while sitting on the desk. I threw on a ub pro gshock clone wristband and gorilla glass screen protector for on duty "violent, multi physical altercations" use. This is why i moved away from the gear s3 frontier years ago. Has held up after 2 months with these add ons, without them, i would have stuck with my gshock.

I bounce back and forth between Android and Apple devices. This current cycle of new phones I purchased a S22 Ultra. Coming from an Apple Watch 6 (which was also nice by the way), I am very pleased with this watch. It is not nearly as heavy and my other Apple watch. I also forgot how much I liked having a round watch over a square one. It does everything I need it to do, and price was nice (got a great deal as a Total Tech member!) It's comfortable to wear all day long and battery life last me about 3 days. Nothing to complain about here!

A Great First Outing for Samsung//WearOS

Samsung has done an outstanding job integrating its unique look into Google's new WearOS 3. The device is powerful and has a fairly decent battery life, a robust set of sensors and health tracking technology, and a stylish look. There's still a few things I'm not happy with as someone who enjoyed WearOS, even with its flaws, because of the UX. There's also no Google assistant integrated, even though there is a workaround that you can get with $5 and some effort. From what I've seen, there's been several updates that have expanded access to Google's tools, and there are more on the road map. So, I believe the device holds more promise, but I can't rate the product on a possibility.

I’m absolutely loving my Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic 46mm BT! The sleek design and premium feel make it look like a high-end timepiece, while the vibrant AMOLED display is a treat for the eyes. The fitness tracking features are spot on—whether I'm tracking my steps, heart rate, or sleep, it's all accurate and easy to follow. Plus, the battery life is impressive, lasting me through a full day of use without a hitch. I got it at an incredible 40% off, which made this already great deal even sweeter. If you’re looking for a smart watch that blends style, performance, and functionality, this is definitely the one to grab!

Comparing to Galaxy S3 Frontier that died last summer. 1. Fits perfectly to my more than tinny arm. I can't understand people complaining about it 2. Wristband is soft, flexible, firm grip. Much improvement from sturdy plastic before. 3. Ergonomically the watch has much improved. Have less trouble hitting something ocasionally 4. Battery holds for 48 hours +. Just don't forget to go into sleep mode at nights. Downside 1. Software glitches. Had one reboot and one blackscreen 2. Seems "do not disturb" doesn't work as expected with messages still going to cell and vibrating 3. Watchfaces are not impressive as before, more trouble to search and install.
