The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 is a quality offering with a large, bright, customizable face and a comprehensive suite of applications. However, like many of today's tech items, the supporting app is difficult to load and configure. It required multiple attempts to download and install the software and after I finally did get it installed a number of functions did not work. It was only after extensive tweaking of permissions and settings on the phone that I was able to get the Samsung phone and the Samsung watch to fully sync and work together. Although the band offers sufficient options to fit different sized wrists, the vinyl material is uncomfortable and feels clammy. I will be investigating alternatives in the hopes that it can be made more pleasant to wear. Battery life seems insufficient. Currently the watch must be charged nightly in order to make it through a full work day. Charging speed is good and the provided proprietary base allows wireless charging however the adapter has a male USB-C end and is pretty short. There is no charging brick included (not that unusual in this day) but you will need to make sure you have a charger with the appropriate connector. The features are quite good. The watch offers almost everything we were looking for BUT the short battery life means that trying to collect a full-days stats is challenging and the band is so uncomfortable that there are days it stays on the shelf. In summary - the watch is less than perfect but has promising potential. I am hoping that future firmware updates will help me learn to love this device!

Wont be shopping at this best buy again unless they change how they do things. I love best buy. Great prices and price matching but that was my worst experience at besy buy. Highly disappointed!!!!!! Item is good though.

You cannot uninstall apps that you don't want. I only wanted this for a few capabilities yet I have to deal with clutter. I won't use this, I'll find some to give it to as I don't have time to stand in line and return it.

Hi Stride. Thanks for reaching out to share your feedback on the Galaxy Watch6. We understand that you are frustrated about wanting to delete preinstalled apps from your watch. Unnecessary apps can be removed either through the Galaxy Wearable app or directly from the watch. This process helps free up space and can improve watch performance. Steps vary slightly between Wear OS models and older versions. To delete apps from your phone for a Wear OS watch, open the Galaxy Wearable app, and then tap Watch settings. On older models, open Galaxy Wearable, and tap the Home tab. On Wear OS models, tap Watch settings, and then tap Apps. For older models, tap Apps, and then swipe to and tap Manage Apps. On Wear OS watches, select the app, then tap Uninstall, and then tap Uninstall to confirm. On older models, tap the Delete icon (the trash can), select the app(s) you want to delete, and then tap Uninstall. Tap Uninstall to confirm. To delete apps directly from your watch, navigate to the Apps screen that has the app you want to uninstall. Touch and hold that screen. Or, if you're using a Wear OS model, touch and hold the app. On Wear OS models, tap Uninstall, and then tap OK. On older models, tap the Delete icon, and then tap the check mark to confirm. If you require any further assistance or have any questions, please reach out to us at Support. -Kelvin Samsung

My family (with two older teenage boys) has enjoyed using smart watches over the past 6+ years, with the quick glances for text and email notifications without taking our phone out, along with all the other capabilities that keep getting added. We've used a few different brands during that time (which one brand we really liked and had a few of most of that time), but over the past year, our oldest son and I had moved over to the Samsung Galaxy Watch (5 Pro for both of us) and we really have enjoyed the upgraded functionality and design (especially when I finally moved over to a Samsung phone and gained even more functionality). My wife's most recent watch has been very nice, with a nice "fancy" design to it (that she has gotten may compliments on) with a metal band, but this year, we'd both finally joined a gym and that watch isn't exactly the best to wear. So, we wanted to get her a watch that was geared more towards being sporty and health monitoring that she wouldn't mind wearing to the gym or going on walks, and with us liking our Samsung watches, decided to get the new Samsung Galaxy Watch6 (40mm for her). So far, she hasn't been disappointed!! Comparing to her other watch, the body size is pretty much identical with the same thickness and width. But, the Galaxy Watch6 has a smaller bezel, which allows for a decently bigger visible screen, and overall is much lighter. And the screen, wow, it looks great! Even compared to my 5 Pro from last year, it looks even better (even if it is smaller than mine). Unlike the Watch6 Classic, which has a rotating bezel for scrolling through lists, this Watch6 has the same functionality but just sliding a finger around the outside edge. My 5 Pro has a similar touch scrolling around the outside edge, but it has a raised bezel to handle that, while the Watch6 is completely flat. It does have two buttons, the Home Key and Back Key (top and bottom buttons respectively when worn on the left wrist). Both can have their function changed. The Home Key actually has two activations - Press and hold and Double press. The Press and hold can be set to open Bixby, Google Assistant, or the Power Off menu. Double press can be to go to the most recent app, as specific app, My Exercises (in Samsung Health) or Accessibility shortcuts. For the Back Button, it is a single-press that can go to the previous screen (same as a swipe from left) or Show recent apps. It also will silence the vibration (and assumingly the watch ringtone) on an incoming call (without "dismissing" the call). Getting connected to her Galaxy S23+ was nice and simple. The Wearables app was already installed (you will need this installed first if it isn't already, and more on this later), so I turned on watch and phone immediately noticed it and asked to connect. It then downloaded Galaxy Watch6 Manager, asked a few setup questions, then finished setup. With it being Google WearOS, it connected to Google account (for Google Play Store access). Then, it prompted on phone to install Samsung Health Monitor (which is needed for several items, and if wanting to use the ECG function, it requires to be connected to a Samsung phone). So, in a fairly short time, it was ready to go! We like the new quick-connector design for the bands, using a push-button to release instead of the small sliding peg. She really likes the softness of silicone band, but the excess storage is a little different, where it is tucked into a slot and goes between the band and the wrist. She doesn't seem to mind it, though. The built-in health monitoring has quite a few functions turned on by default, and one of them caught my wife a little off-guard. While at the gym riding a stationary bike, she got an alert that her heartrate was extremely elevated for being still (as it wasn't detecting movement with her hands resting on the handles). It is also set up to automatically detect a workout if it senses movement for almost 10 minutes and asks if you'd like to start tracking it. One thing she hasn't tried yet is the sleep monitoring as she isn't used to wearing a watch to bed. It seems to be able to detect the different sleep cycles. The Classic mentions it can detect snoring, but I'm not sure if this one does. Samsung does have a softer fabric band available for a little more comfort when wearing while sleeping. Battery life seems it could be decent, just not a full 2 days (mentions up to 40 hours). She is already used to charging a watch every night, so we haven't seen just how long it would last. It won't last as long as my 5 Pro (which has a much bigger battery, which is why I got that model), it still has enough to make it through (and slightly past) the day. She has the always-on display and is using a photo slideshow face (which those images look great on it) and one day we checked, it had about 60% left after wearing it for about 12 hours. The charger is magnetic to hold it in place, and it requires a USB-C port for charging (like normal nowadays, charging blocks are not included). While we have some USB-C charging blocks (from when they actually still did include them with phones), I've gotten some USB-C to USB-A adapters so we can still use those. Also, if away from the charger and needing a little extra before getting to the charger, it can be charged from a phone that has wireless power share capability. The one thing I have liked with the Galaxy Watch Manager in the Wearbles app is that every single setting you can set and manage on the watch is available in the settings in the app itself. This is quite useful, especially for rearranging the app order in the app list. And all the health information is synched to the Samsung Health app on the phone. If you are more used to working with Google Fit for activity tracking, it can be installed on the watch as well. As with most technology items, they seem to get better and better with each new version, and this is no exception. And while she had planned to still wear the "fancy" older watch (depending on the situation), the Galaxy Watch6 is starting to become the main watch she wears.

Samsung did it again, they added another excellent product to their Galaxy umbrella. The Samsung Galaxy Watch6 does not disappoint. I have far more good things to say about it than bad. It is so seamless having this watch work with all the typical Samsung apps in the ecosystem without having to get additional apps on your phone. First off, the appearance is very classy and simple. There’s no bezel just a flat surface with 2 side buttons. I was worried about it getting scratched because I’m a little rough on things but so far it has stood up. Normally I get bigger watch faces but this one fit me perfectly and there was a good measuring diagram on the box to see if it would fit your wrist. I love the design of the silicone band where the extra tail tucks back into the band. This allows for a snug fit with some cushion without cutting off circulation. I didn’t have any reactions to the silicone, but it does capture a lot of water. It traps water from washing hands, when it’s hot out, and when exercising. I didn’t have any issues with skin reactions from the sensor, on my last Galaxy watch I did so this is an improvement to me. The sensor is very… sensitive, which is a good thing. I didn’t have to wear the watch tight for it to pick up vitals. In the past I had to wear the sensor on my inner wrist so I’m glad this isn’t an issue anymore. I mostly got this watch for health tracking and I’m very impressed. It tracked my work out very well with steps, heart rate, and auto sensing a work out was happening. There was an informative graph of my heart rate and what my max and average heart rate was with a lot of breakouts. All of this just on the watch! You can view it on the phone in the Samsung Heath app to get a bigger view. There is a body mass function that runs different sensors through your body that seemed very accurate and informative. Again, a bigger break out is on the phone but the watch has most of what I wanted to look at. Stress and ECG monitoring are another two features that I really liked trying out. Everything is super easy to use and intuitive to read. My favorite feature of the whole watch is the sleep monitoring. Far improved from my prior watch. I didn’t have any tracking interruptions from moving in my sleep. There weren’t any accidental watch swipes into other apps. Samsung did an excellent job of capturing all the data on the watch screen so it’s quick to see how your rest was. When paired with the phone it will detect amount of time snoring. The watch sensor picks up your sleep cycles, blood oxygen level, and body temp. This provided me great insight to try to address sleep concerns. The watch battery and charge are impressive. I got about a day and a half of use on one charge, and it took less than 30min to fully charge. When the watch gets wet showering or swimming it has a feature to blow the water out of it with sound that works well. The display is bright but dimmable and very crisp. I think my biggest gripe with this watch is that it doesn’t come with a USB-C wall wort. I have a ton of the USB-A ones from over the years but the charger end needs USB-C so I had to go buy one. Overall, I highly recommend this watch though.

So far so good. I've had this less than a week and I'm loving it. I am not a techie and would be considered a casual user. The battery is good, the watch is easy to navigate. The Galaxy Expert at BB St Matthews was a huge help. I bought the larger size 44mm just so I wouldn't have any issues seeing the watch face without my glasses on. It is big, but fits my wrist without over whelming it. I'm so glad that I returned the Garmin and decided on this Galaxy 6.
