Gear fit, great for fitness
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have to admit I was a little skeptical on buying on of these digital watches, one I thought I would break it and two, I didnt want to t look like a total dork. Well, after having it for about a month I love it. I use it mainly as a fitness watch that I wear when I run. It monitors the distance and the speed and the averages of all that. to include max pace, average speed, average heartbeat and max heartbeat. It works well as a watch also but I find that I truly use it more for the physical activities with the pedometer and the exercise functions. My fear of breaking it was just a fear and it has held up really well. I use it 3 to 5 times a week and on some days wear to work as well. The abilitiy to snyc with the samsung smart phone is reall cool and it does it automatically. Plus being able to read text on the watch has come quite handy where other wise it would have been impossible like the movies. I have great luck with mine and do recommend get one for yourself.

Leading edge of this technology
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my new watch, I wear it everyday and I have found some things I like and others I don't. Pros: - nice, comfortable sleek fit that looked good - the LCD screen brightness modes - easy to use -good for runners (look below too) - the wake up motion turns on the screen -change background -notifications from phone are helpful and the reminders of events on your calendar Cons: -This watch is good for RUNNERS (and /or hikers, cyclers or walkers) It is not made for regular aerobics --> there is the endomodo app however I have found it is not that accurate -needs a wider range of external apps (and this will grow with time) Overall I would recommend this watch. It does need improvements however considering the fact that this is the leading edge of smart exercise watches this is a very good product. And like I said above if you want to use it to track AEROBICS I would not recommend it.

Great Value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought for my wife for Christmas, it does everything she needs and works great as a stop counter, heart rate monitor and information from her phone. Her Samsung Note does drain a little faster when connected.

best fitness monitor I've used yet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this one does it all. I've used several other pedometer devices as well as fitness devices and this one is by far the highest quality, easiest to use, and isn't too bad that it looks so sharp! The heart rate monitor isn't entirely accurate but it's a good general gage. you can customize the face, and so far the steps and mileage are very accurate. it stinks great with your Samsung phone and I would most definitely recommend it to anybody who's looking for a fitness device.

Love this!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely love this watch. The Pedometer is awesome but now I don't miss calls anymore! I love being able to keep my phone in my purse and know when it's ringing. Plus text messages! Best purchase this year.

nice smart watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like that it can be viewed vertically and that it doesn't stick out too much on your arm. Primary use it for text messages, especially when on call. Also the media part where you can control your music is nice in the gym. I wish the battery would last longer, but it seems to get 3 days normally, 2 with heavy use and it has lasted up to 4 days at times. Got it for $80, so for that price it seems pretty good and reasonable.

gear fit
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My husband bought this as a gift three days later it was going crazy and continued blinking and vibrating until the battery ran out as soon as I charged it same thing. Best buy returned it and had a brand new one shipped in 2 days. I love love love the watch. Does everything I need so many apps. Helps keep me focused on workout instead of checking my phone to see if it's my kids or work is calling. It all right on my wrist

Great, when it worked
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first got the watch I loved it. I instantly got real used to only having to check my watch for the emails, texts, and to quickly glance at who is calling without having to get out my phone. This was a very convenient feature and always worked without a hitch. I also loved keeping track of my sleep, it even tells you what percentage of the night you were motionless. The heart rate monitor and pedometer also initially worked great to. Until about a month in. All of a sudden the watch shut off on me and would not turn on. When this happened i know for sure the battery had 70-80% charge. I eventually plugged it back into the charger, it read 0% battery and when it took a charge it had factory reset itself. After this occurred the charger would only work intermittently. Then about a week or so later the pedometer stopped counting steps. I did multiple resets on the watch but it would never start counting steps again. I ultimately had to return the watch. I wanted to like it, but hardware and software issues plagued my watch and I did not want to take a chance on another one. Sorry Samsung, first time you have left me down. I cannot recommend this watch with other alternatives out there.

Best $100 ever spent
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think this little device performs better than expected. It provides time, steps, heart rate, a decent screen with options for adjustment. My biggest complaint is the need for a Samsung paired phone or tablet. I own a Samsung Tab S 10.5 and it wouldn't naturally pair with it. I had to download 2 decent work-around hacks to get it to work with the tablet and with my non-Samsung Android phone. If it didn't work I was going to return the watch but thankfully it is 80% working with my phone and 95% working with my Tab S.

Great non-complicated tool
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first fitness tracker (wearable) I primarily wanted it for the heart rate function. Bonus! it tracks much more than that. It is very easy to use and is not irritating at all!!!

Nice colorful fitness tracker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had Been using a Fitbit . The Gear Fit provides similar information (except for stairs) AND This syncs with my samsung S5 phone and allows quick view of incoming calls , emails or texts- very helpful @work, so I can check these out more subtlety than whipping out my phone. Only used it a few days , but looks cool and much more functionality than Fitbit. Only drawback is much shorter battery life- but it does so much more,

Great tool
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great tool to discretely keep in touch with your life. It's a huge help to not have to dig in your pocket for your phone when you can just flip your wrist instead. Only issue that I've run into is Gear Fit resetting itself when battery is running a little low before it should even shut off.

Almost perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Couldn't rate it excellent due to it going into the "reboot loop". Also having to restart it when the power button stopped working. But with a quick online search I was able to resolve both issues easily & without having to return the watch. Other than those 2 issues it has been great. The heart rate, pedometer, and notifications are helpful. The stopwatch & timer have been very handy also. I downloaded additional apps to see my calendar & use a simple calculator. I like that it works with S Health on my phone.

Serves A purpose
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a regular person on a weight loss journey. I do different workouts mostly DVDs. I try to keep track of my step count and total miles. Basic stuff, I wanted to also try to keep track of my HR. Well, it really doesn't meet my needs. The only exercise options you have are walking, running, cycling, and hiking. I walk, but not as a speed walker, more or less a leisure walk with the dogs 2-3 times a day for 15-20 mins. It a good pedometer. But,,, and there is a but. I had a techn4o sports watch. The results from the watch and the results from the gear fit are like 1000 steps off and very different from calories burned. I hade 3 different results, the DVDs estimate, the watch estimate and gear fit, I'm wasn't sure and still am not sure what my results are. So I have a glorified watch. Now what is neet is, it does sync with my Samsung s5 with S health. I can see when someone is calling, texting, emails. I don't carry my phone all around with me in the house. I tend to leave it somewhere in the house and ends up looking for it. Which the gear fit will help you locate your phone by calling it, so it will ring or make whatever sound you have so you can find your phone. I can't say if I would recommend or not, it depends on why your using it. It works for people who maybe runners, walkers, cyclist and hikers. But if you do aerobics and weight training, That's a bit much to pay for a watch that is not meeting "your" specific need. So I have an expensive pedometer. Oh and sleep. Not real sure about that either. You have to trigger sleep mode, like, literally right befor falling asleep to get an accurate time of hours you slept. You can see how much sleep was motionless versus active etc. gives a nice graph. But there again, it's not what I was hoping for. I had planned on retuning it because I changed my mind. I waited too late and listening to my husband , "you should keep it and try it out." I could have paid a bill with the $100+ dollars

Good and reliable product , thus far...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since I have an S5 phone, and this gadget tracked a lot of info, I thought I'd give it a whirl. It performs as advertised, but you might not like all of that. The battery DOES need recharging at least every three days, and that might be viewed as a pain for some. It doesn't count my activity on an eliptical machine as steps, or measure the caloric burn for same, so that's a bit annoying. The app is pretty cool. It stays synched to my phone without fail. I sort of doubt the pedometer accuracy. I had a Fit Bit prior to this...this one is "cool" -- LCD screen, options, etc., but I'm not sure if you are getting any more "data" from this than the much less expensive, albeit much less cool Fit Bit. I'm not unhappy with this...I just wish it was abit more accurate and had longer battery life. I have not tested it against so many other, less expensive activity trackers. This review is written after about 5 weeks of use.

Great Watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This watch turned out to be better than I expected. It tracks my steps and my sleeping patterns. I'm also able to receive my email and text notifications as well as any other application of my choice. It's well worth the purchase.

Great Features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First I will say that I love the watch. You van use one of your own pictures to set as the background, change orientation, add apps from Google Play and track your exexercise and sleep habits. I can also leave my phone on mute at work and read texts and emails on the watch, or see who is calling me. All of these are worth the expense to me (ot was on sale when I bought it). The drawbacks: while sitting on the couch, I brushed the hair away from my face and the watch congratulated me for hitting my "steps taken" goal. I didn't really expect the pedometer on my wrist to be incredibly accurate though. Also the silver around the face gets chipped away at very quicklt (started the 2nd day). I did purchase a $20 screen protector, so the glass is still safe but it doesnt save the border. overall I really do love this product.
