was counting steps and floors while I drove. in fact it was telling me I was hitting my step goals by 10am. I drive for FedEx and it was telling me i was riding my bike when I was doing 55 on the highway. Sorry, I had to return it. If I would have been able I would have given it a negative star rating.

My title says it all but I will go into details. When sync'd to a Samsung phone, I was able to add watch faces (some of them provide all the info I was looking for) and that was great! The notifications are amazing and work better than I expected. The vibrations are nice and it's super easy to use. The interface is really nice for a sub-$200 smartwatch. It tracked my steps very well, heart rate was pretty spot on (most of the time..will explain) and it tracks floors, calories burned, distance moved. For normal use, it's amazing. It tracks sleep very well too, at least at night. For exercising, which is my primary purpose, I'm torn on it. I was able to load songs on this watch and play back a playlist to a sync'd Bluetooth headset, without the need for the phone. It tracked my elliptical workout perfectly and the heart rate was spot on, within a beat or two of the pro elliptical machine. It doesn't really have the ability to track a weightlifting routine, which is what I expected. The battery life is amazing, lasting up to three days with normal use (everything on but always-on display). Speaking of the display, it's bright and turns on when you raise it up to look at it. Covering it with your hand turns it off. You can set the bottom button to double press shortcut to whatever app you want to open, like the music controls. Here's the bad and for me, the deal breaker. I have been looking specifically for a watch to run with, so I don't have to take my phone with me. This tracks great when you run with your phone. The GPS in standalone, however, doesn't really work. I tried in on the west coast and in the mid west states in the US. I tracked it in standalone while using a non sync'd phone to compare. The watch is was off by almost a quarter mile for every mile I ran, on six runs across two states. After research, this is a problem with all of the gear watches, unless they are connected to cellular. For most people, this will work great. For runners who wish to run untethered from a phone, look elsewhere. It was a deal breaker for me, but may not be for everyone else.

Purchased this, less than 30 days later the screen cracked. Not only will Best Buy not work with me on this, it can't be fixed!!! Now i have a product not only is unusable, but unfixable. Nothing was told to me i MUST purchase the product agreement because it can't be worked on, only replaced! What a joke! Very unhapoy with best buy!

Very poor battery and cannot customize much. Also, not very accurate in counting steps. I would not buy this product again.

Watch n my car blue tooth threw everything off then watch stopped working on the 2week and they wouldn't return it!

I was really looking forward to using this device. But it randomly shuts off/quits working, then in a week or two, will start back. Extremely irritating.

I cannot fully rate this yet because I don't fully know how to use it. I cannot figure out the calorie count on it. I really like the step counter on it.

Wish Samsung, Garmin, Fitbit and others could develop a good lap / distance tracker for swimmers. We are out here by the thousands+ and waiting.

Bought 2 for my kids. worked great for one week, then all of the sudden stopped synching with their phones (tried it unsuccessfully on several phones actually). Gear manager cannot be downloaded from the Samsung app store. You have to use the gear manager app from the samsung app store. I don't think samsung tests their products anymore. If you like to have a fancy pedometer, go ahead and purchase. Returning them before the 14 days expiration.

Not user friendly...doesn't track accurately in most categories like calories or floors. Hard to track on the phone as well. Next time, fitbit.

Don't seem to count all the steps, and now it is counting stairs that I haven't even taken. It is nice, but doesn't seem to accurate.

We returned this one after the one we purchased for me just stopped working- no apparent reason.

Nice item for simple use. But found my self upgrading to the Gear and it was much worth the extra money

I bought it to be able to see notifications without pulling my phone out. It barely ever works. No notifications get sent to it. Tried calling samsung as they won't let Best Buy exchange it for me. Could barely understand the gentleman on the other line. I could hear him engaging in other conversations as I was explaining to him my issues. His only fix for me was to restart my watch. Did not help at all.

Too many false readings.....68 flights of stairs, when in fact there were 2! No desire to wear during sleep as well....

this item didn't really get all the text messages from my phone to the watch also it did not track each step correctly

I'm not able to easily control my media player with this. Other models are much more user friendly.

What a joke and a waste of $150+! I'm thankful to the manager on duty, who equally understands what a piece of garbage this product is, and issued me a full refund. Although, I would've gave it back regardless because its JUST THAT BAD of a product! As a person into fitness and wanting to keep myself accountable and track goals? SO NOT IMPRESSED! #FAIL

Gearfit 2 is a step up from a basic fitness tracker but not quite a full-fledged smart phone watch. After using the Fitbit one for two years, it was exciting to have something than does more than tracking steps and stairs. The best part of the gearfit is getting notifications from my phone so I don't miss any calls while the phone is on silent, and I can reply to texts/calls by selecting from a list of custom-written text replies when I can't reach for my phone. The downside to these notifications though is the shortened battery life that is already lacking and the constant vibrations on your wrist when you have active group chats going on. However I guess I can't dock the gearfit for my overabundance of social texts. I can barely get two days of use without charging it, which I'm still adjusting to since I charged my fitbit once every two weeks. My biggest grip is not its short battery life but its proprietary charging station. Perhaps I've been spoiled by the mobile devices that I've purchased in the last five years that uses the standard micro-USB charging cable, but it is a pain to have to carry around the huge charger when I forget to charge it the night before or it's annoying to have it die on me in the middle of the day and I have no way of charging it. It does seem to pick up automatically when I'm actively walking and the workout feature that I have to activate manually is pretty easy to use. I typically don't wear it to sleep but the few times that I kept it on during naps and at night, it tracked my sleep pretty accurately. The "find my phone" feature is nice too. Overall the gearfit 2 is a good buy and definitely exceeded my expectations.

Well I got the Gear Fit 2 and truly enjoy the layout and ease of use. Tracks my sleep well and also footsteps, even though I've been a bit limited as I sprained my ankle the same day I got the Fit 2 Grrrrrrrrr!!! Happily I'm almost back to normal and will start walking and treadmill then running once I can start that again. Hate not being able to do that right now. Love the various faces I can choose from as i use different ones depending upon what I'm doing. I also believe this Gear Fit 2 out performs the Fitbit by far. Also enjoy the light weight feel and that I can shower without concern of the device. Let the games begin!!! Love this opportunity!! ????????????
