Gave 4 stars. Pretty good but has some limitations if you will be using iPhone. I think much better if connected to Samsung phone.

This is the second one I've bought, and while I do believe it's one of the best fitness trackers on the market, it does have a major flaw. The charging contacts on the back of the first Gear Fit 2 corroded to the point where it couldn't be charged anymore. That's why I bought the second one, and I'm afraid it may be happening to the second one.

I have been looking and waiting for the combo this watch has, with continuous HR, sleep tracking, GPS, and on board memory for music. What was glitchy for me, however, was HR tracking. There were times it was flat wrong by a large margin. Other times, especially during exercise, it was asking me to stay still for a reading? Kinda defeats the purpose of running.

I purchased this after buying a fitbit and I couldn't be happier. It is much more accurate, nicer looking and syncs with my phone easier.

It is simple easy to use. Great fit,not to bulky. Display is great.

Upfront, I bought this open box after Christmas, so it was $70 off the regular price. That alone made it attractive. After sweating through 3 Fitbit Charge HRs, I was looking for something with a band that would withstand my workouts. Success! Functionally, it's a great tracker for sleep and reminding me to get up and move during the day, and the heart rate monitor seems pretty accurate. Paired it with my SG7 Edge, and love the ability to snooze my alarm just by tapping my watch. Highly recommend this for the average workout/gear fan.

good easy to read screen satisfied except for battery length

This fitness tracker is great if you have a samsung phone. It syncs up with the S Health app on your phone, and tracks all your vital fitness information. The only slight downfall it has is that, as with all heartrate wrist trackers, the heartrate can be up to 10-20 bpm off when using it with heavy exercise. Otherwise, it is a great tracker, and I love it.

After doing a day or two of research on all the different fit trackers on the market, I ended up gravitating to the Samsung GF2. Alot of other trackers were more popular but lacked in display. Being a samsung and Mac user, I decided to go with the Samsung because of price and fluidity of the os. The colors are vibrant. Love being able to customize almost everything.

The battery life is terrible only lasts about a day and a half if that...the band also is terrible because it just clips on...i put watch locks on it because it felt like it would fall off ...i was right in doing so because it tried to accomplish that feat ..but it was free with the note 7

Don't get me wrong I love this watch. I love how easy it is to connect to my samsung galaxy s8 plus. I can check text, send text from a pre made list of phrases, see who is calling , get my alarms and download music straight to the watch so i don't even need my phone during workouts. The downside... it does not support facebook messanger or audible. The watch cannot be flipped so wearing it on your right hand will be akward with the buttons only on the wrist side. I have to wear it on my left. The facelight turns on while sleeping if there is movement. My husband won't let me where it at night anymore it wakes him up. Its NOT waterproof only water resistant. I knew this when I purchased it but if you are thinking you can wear it swimming or i n three bath/ shower you can't. All in all its a good watch but samsung needs to really update. If you can afford it she'll out a little more for a higher model with better options.

I checked other reviews and wasn't exactly sure what it'd do as far as apps go, but it's much as I assumed. It's basically a nice fitness tracker. -The step count is accurate -the stair count not as much but more or less -the automatic workout thing is OK. It picks up when I'm exhurting myself but sometimes not when I expect. -the battery can do 3 days depending on notifications, I keep bluetooth on but WiFi off and charge it every second day. -I started downloading other watch faces (which aren't bad but not great) but then discovered you can 'stylise' the original ones and change the colors and styles of them. So now I customise the watch faces depending on what style and color I feel like for the day. -You can reply to a whats app msg or sms with a smiley or one saved phrase but only once. You can read and email and see who's calling you but not answer. All in all I love samsung and it was between this and the similar looking fitbit. This on power saving mode looks like the fitbit everyday functionality. Still happy I got it, I wanted something to track my steps for my fitness pal which it doesn't sync with but at least I don't have to carry my phone around all day to know my steps of if someone's calling.

The Gear fit2 is a solid wearable. Screen is great and the form factor makes it one of the best looking devices on the market. However the clasp that keeps it on your wrist isn't designed well. Mine has flown off my wrist a couple of times already. For this reason I cannot recommend it.

This watch is fantastic. I love that it connects to your phone. It's easy to use and tracks my steps so much more accurately than my phone.

It is much improved. Don't have to tell it you are sleeping. Spot checks your heart rate. You can read your email, reject a call with a text message (not allowed to have my cellphone at work). When you have sat still too long it vibrates on your arm and reminds you to get moving.

Having tried or experienced several types of pedometers, fitness watches, wrist devices, etc., I stumbled upon this Samsung Gear Fit2. The pricing is reasonable, the screen is colorful, the capabilities are useful, and it works. I have a number of traditional watches (I am a daily watch-wearer), but wanted something that provided a bit more connectivity and perhaps would supplant my pocket pedometer. There are a number of true GPS watches, but they are typically double or triple the price of this Gear Fit2. There are a number of choices for "GPS watch" but they're not really GPS watches: they have no autonomous internal GPS, so without being tethered to a adjacent phone, you don't know where you are. Of course, there's the Apple Watch. Hey, everybody, look at me: I spent a lot of money and I'm cool! Enough said. This device ticked all the checkboxes for me: price, apps, trickness. And most importantly: it fits. If you have large wrists, you will quickly discover that most "wristband" devices weren't made for you. They simply physically do not fit around a wrist that's any larger than about 7.5 inches in circumference, and some are even smaller. It's a bummer when you'd like to try a particular technology, but the manufacturers are apparently saying "we don't care about you" to someone with good old Neanderthal genes (big bones). I am wearing this puppy on a daily basis, it fits quite well, I don't "notice" it in terms of it bugging me, and after several months, no problems whatsoever (uh oh, jinx). The charge lasts about two full days: not great but not annoying either. The associated app that Samsung offers works well enough: it's not the most feature-packed app out there, but sometimes you just want something to do a few jobs well, instead of many jobs in a mediocre fashion. It's nice to be able to read a text message on it when one comes in without having to fumble for your phone (or if your phone happens to be in another part of the house right then). Even pictures comes through, and you can respond with brief canned texts if desired. The hiking app even displays a small map of your route, along with a graph or heart rate and speed, all on the device. Pretty neat.

The Samsung gear fit 2 has a lot more features than the first one, is easier to read and it automatically knows when to go in sleep mode.
