I love this watch. I got it open box; no scratches or problems and purchased the 2yr warranty. Easy to operate, download apps esp for someone not so tech savvy like myself. You can cater to your lifestyle and Samsung is constantly evolving with more devices that interface with watch. I was also able to sync watch with BLU Android fun. No complaints yet

I love my Gear S2. Over about a week, I have physically tried out the Gear S2, the Asus ZenWatch and the Moto 360 2nd generation. The only watch I loved was the Gear S2. After doing my research on which smartwatch to get, I had made my decision on the Asus ZenWatch. Unfortunately Best Buy didn’t have one of those available for me to try out or even put on my wrist. (Bad sales move Best Buy.) While I was going back and forth about buying something that I hadn’t even seen in real life, the in-store Samsung representative got a hold of me. While in the store I was having an airhead moment and couldn’t remember the main reason why my final choice was the ZenWatch (the Android Wear OS) so I ended up being swayed. He showed me the watch, let me put it on my wrist. Demonstrated how it worked and all it could do. Before I knew what happened, he had paired my phone and I was out the door with a beautiful new watch (at twice the price) on my arm. Although I loved it, once I got home, I remembered why I wanted the ZenWatch, the Android Wear operating system. Well I couldn’t spend that much money without being completely sure that’s what I wanted so 2 days later I bought the ZenWatch. I wore both of them for one day but never really formed an affinity for the ZenWatch. It was heavy and slow and not as easy to use. (My full review of the ZenWatch is available under that product.) I returned the ZenWatch and exchanged it for the Moto 360 2nd gen. Since I was already in the $300 range for a smartwatch, why not compare apples to apples (no pun intended.) [Both the Gear S2 and the Moto 360 2nd gen have a heart rate monitor; the ZenWatch does not.] After forcing myself to wear the Moto 360 for one full day, I finally decided the keep the Samsung Gear S2. I was skeptical about why to get a smartwatch but I was bored with the standard watches I had and wanted a fitness tracker so I thought I’d treat myself for my birthday. O. M. G. Life is so much easier with a smartwatch. You’re not so tied to your phone (in your hand) when the key functions are on your wrist. At my job, I turn off my ringer and put the phone away in the drawer. I may hear the phone in the drawer, but with every vibration being the same instead of unique notifications, I don’t know if I’ve received junk mail or an important text. With a smartwatch, I can glance at my wrist and know if action is needed. I can quickly send a short response without opening up my phone. (Isn’t that what the middle age working generation is all about? We know it’s not professional to have our phones glued to our hands as an extra appendage but we still want to respond to certain things in real time.) I’ll start with the cons of the S2 just because there are fewer of those. I really didn’t want a sports gadget on my wrist on a daily basis. I wanted something that looked like a normal (dressy) watch. I didn’t want to try the Tizen operating system. I’m skeptical of trying a new operating system before it becomes well established. Tizen doesn’t have as many apps as Android Wear. How reliable is this rotating bezel going to be? I’ve found the rotating bezel does get moved (activated) when putting on or taking off shirts and jackets. It is slightly heavier than an everyday standard watch. In spite of all those cons, the Gear S2 is still an amazing device. First and foremost, the S2 is easy to use! I like that is has 2 buttons on the side instead of one single button. Sometimes you need to go BACK but not START OVER. At other times you’re done with working with an app and want to go back to the watch face. Very smart! Using the bezel you can scroll through the apps not just one at a time but the face of the watch has a circle of apps to choose from (so time efficient!) It’s easy to choose which apps to be able to scroll through AND you can reorder them very easily from your phone. You can easily edit the texts and missed calls/missed texts that you send. The voice recorder for sending texts, etc is super sensitive and accurate. The heart rate monitor is fairly accurate. I personally don’t use the watch as a fitness tracker, mainly because the watch is a little heavy and I don’t wear my watch 24/7 but it did make me aware that I’m not as active as I thought I was and I do need a fitness tracker. It also alerts me to get off my backside if I’ve been sitting too long (an hour or more) and praises me when I do get up. It's helpful when I’ve gotten home from work but I’ve forgotten to take my phone out of my bag or forgotten to turn the ringer back on, the phone still alerts me that I have a call, text, etc. It’s kind of ironic. With this smartwatch I’m more connected to my contacts, including my on-line world but I’m less connected to my physical phone so it feels less intrusive. One last con - I tend to talk with my hands. The watch does light up repeatedly while I’m talking which is a little distracting to the conversation; the person you’re talking to sees the watch light up as our eye is drawn to flashes of light. I’m sure I can figure out how to minimize that little problem. I still which I could change out the watch band and that it didn't look so much like a sports device. (Theoretically there will be interchangeable watch bands but they’re not out there yet.)

I had done a lot of research online about which smart watch I wanted and waited months for this to come out. The bezel makes this thing super easy to use and texting is easy. I use this thing all the time and the battery lasts at least two days and will still have 20 to 30 percent left. The only things that slightly bug me are the facts that there is no reply option when you are looking at a text, so to text someone, they have to be on your buddy list set on your phone. Also, because it's a Tizen OS, there aren't many apps yet. I'm patient, but I would like to see more come out soon. Other than those things though, this has made my life a lot easier and I feel safer with the ability to send help messages from my watch. If you're going to get a smart watch, get this. It will be available to pair with iPhones soon!

I purchased this smart watch at the Samsung bar at Best Buy. I received excellent service including the assistance of setting up the watch which did take over one hour but they wanted to be sure all the features were working. I've had the watch now about two months and it's great. The charging dock came included in the purchase of the watch and it's so easy and convenient to use. The watch is easy to use and customize. I've loaded about ten extra Samsung programs and they all work fine. The only thing is that it doesn't do is to let me view my emails. I can even watch You-Tube videos on the watch.

The watch is lightweight, incredibly easy to use, and I like the rounded face better than other watches I have seen. I feel like the pedometer is a little stingier than a Fitbit, but there is the possibly I am slowing down. The only drawbacks are really to app options. The stuff you want is available and if you have a Samsung phone, its a perfect companion piece. However, there is a limited selection for people looking for a more immersive experience. That being said, I view smartwatches as a more passive piece of technology, and this does those things. I often learn about calls from the watch before the phone rings, I can reply to text without touching the phone, get the weather fairly easily, and the map function isnt that bad either.

The Samsung Gear S2 watch is my newest addiction. I never leave home without it! It's easy to use & has so many great features that I use daily. I typically charge it every night, however it can hold a charge for 2 days with normal use.

Love the ease of use. Love seeng who is texting, and calling and being able to answer texts from the watch instead of pulling out my phone. Can't wait for new apps!

Great watch!! I got this watch as a Christmas gift and great present ever. It is easy to use and can be styled to individual preferences. Extended battery life.

I owned a Microsoft Smart Watch years ago. I wore a fit bit for awhile. I enjoyed my Samsung Gear Fit. I also shopped for an Apple Watch. After purchasing the Samsung Gear 2 smart watch I'm confident I not only got the best watch for the money...I bought the best one available. It does everything and more that the Samsung rep at Best Buy demonstrated for me. It's comfortable (even for a guy like me with Neanderthal-sized wrists). The apps worked right from the get go and are easy to configure right from the watch. It's good-looking and out performs every smart watch I've ever had.

I bought the Gear S2 as a replacement for my Gear 2 Smartwatch. While it looks better than the Gear 2, the Gear S2 doesn't have all the applications the Gear 2 had, apps that I appreciate now that I don't have them. It is very easy to operate though and if you are looking for a good starter Smartwatch, I can recommend it. Plus, it is easy to charge, which is what the original problem I was having with the Gear S2 (broke twice on me).

Has many functions and is easy to use. I like the bezel that makes it easy to scroll through tasks. Battery lasts at least two days .

Beautiful watch; bought for my wife for Christmas. Easy to use and setup. She is not a tech expert but learned how to use it pretty quick. There is still a lot to learn, but it does some really nice things for Samsung phone users. Watch is very stylish; not cheap looking at all. Faces are customizable, from silly to snazzy and everything in between. Very happy with my purchase.

I've tried just about every smart watch available for Android. Samsung really hit the nail on the head with this smart watch and the rotating bezel. The bezel to me is what makes it great. Too many watches you need to swipe and swipe and swipe some more to do anything. While swipes and touches work here, the bezels and two simple buttons make it a breeze. I've seen reviews where it was gigged for apps but I dont use my small smart watch for many apps. I want weather, notifications, phone calls (to accept or decline, not to talk) and an actual watch. I had 100's of screens to download for free or paid via Samsung. I wish the battery life got more than 1 solid day. If i had light use it would last two days but I never seemed to have a problem with at least one day with heavy use.

Very easy to use. Excellent battery life. A lot of apps to use.

I love the features and the fit. I am on my second watch because the band broke on the first one and some of the features were randomly not working. It does exactly what it advertises and is very easy to use. Even with the issues I have had, it is a great device.

purchased for our manager for a gift he loves it and wears it every day. His favorite thing is to show us what he discovered it will do. So glad I made the choice, very easy to use and works perfect with his phone.

BAND WAS JUNK FELL APART IN 2 WEEKS NO CALL FEATURE. BEZEL WORKS GREAT EASY TO USE. LOTS OF APPS. GOOD HEALTH APP.

I don't know a lot about these but it is great to have and easy to use. People are always asking me about it. I just wish it would let you use other apps instead of the defaults like the texting.
