    I Love My Gear S2!

Love, love, love my gear. I enjoy wearing a watch again and not always having to look for my phone for the time. Im glad I was able to get rid of my fitbit as the gear counts my steps more accurately, I can add my water and coffee intake and after an hour or so it even reminds me to get up and get moving. When working out I listen to my music directly fron my watch into my bluetooth headset and I dont have to bring my phoe with me. There is only one downfall and its not the watch, its the white band. It looks so crisp and clean but it gets dirty really quickly. I read that you can clean it with a magic eraser so I am going try that. But in the meantime I just purchased a cheap replacement black band and have no issues.

First off, whatever I buy, it comes in pairs because I get one for myself and my wife since she likes the same thing lol. Anyhow, we both had 1st Gen Moto 360's. We did kind of miss some features like the charging dock nightstand clock mode, and the superb voice speech system with Android Wear, but we quickly got over those features. The lack of those features or them working well as well a few other small things keep this from being a 5 star watch. Durability? Both me and my wife Kickbox at an MMA and UFC gym (900+ calories burned in 1 hour), so we do HARDCORE Kickboxing. We've never had our bands to break, scratches, or anything, gloves on or off, and I've banged my watch on car parts, PC equipment, walls, and etc, and it looks brand new. You can't go wrong here if durability is a concern. Speaking of fitness, the S Health integration is just as good as Apple's, if not better, and it works for any type of fitness sport you do, not just running like the Moto Sport. If fitness tracking is a priority, get this watch! No regrets! Way way way way way better than Android Wear! Samsung pay is a GAME CHANGER! You can use Samsung Pay at EVERY terminal except insertion terminals (like Gas Station Pumps and ATM machines). You don't have to guess which store has an NFC terminal, or if you leave your wallet or purse at home, you can still pay for things and is way more secure than the card chip tech out now. You can only currently use NFC on the watch, but this is just an app update away. The convenience of paying with your watch and/or your phone can't be beat! The Gear S2's UI (user interface) is much more intuitive and streamline than Android Wear....the swiping all over the place for basic functions gets old, especially when you're in a rush. The rotating bezel touch screen combo more than makes up for the lack of voice functions from a daily use perspective. We don't really use the S Voice features because they do work, but it's annoying to get things correct. I'd just much rather grab my phone and text or use the keyboard texting app on the watch. If voice functions are a must (hands free operation), then I would suggest getting an Android Wear (or Apple Watch if you have an iPhone and etc). The watch imo actually looks cleaner and feels as such than the Moto 360, even the Moto 360 2nd Gen, especially if you get the Classic with the leather bands....this is coming from a previous Moto 360 owner too which I still have great love for Motos! For a Sport Smart Watch, this is hard to argue against since it looks both sporty and classy, and it isn't a lint magnet like the Moto 360 Sport Band. It's easily on par if not better looking that the Apple Sport Watch, but again, looks are subjective. The Screen is AWESOME! Super AMOLED kills Android Wear hands down, it's just beautiful! I am a power user, and keep my screen brightness on 6 out of 10. I am never below 55% (but usually at 70 something percent) by 10pm-midnight no matter how hard I try to drain the battery and I start my days at 4am, so for you normal 6-9am risers, you can easily go 2 days without a charge. I dock it at night anyhow, but it's just good to know. You can make calls and talk on it if you get the 3G version from your phone carrier, but I think this feature is silly except for maybe having to catch a call in the shower or something, but honestly, I just use my Jawbone for those situations and no one knows I'm in the shower due to the excellent noise cancellation lol. If you HAVE to have this feature, this and the Apple Watch are your only current choices. This watch does have flaws (lack of many app choices, voice speech doesn't work well, etc), just like ALL OF THEM HONESTLY. You will gain some things with one brand smart watch while loosing some to others. It all depends on your wants and needs. We are happy with our switch, and honestly probably won't go back. Just Google search for any more info on this watch vs others.

If you think a watch should look like a watch...

...then this one is for you. I have been waiting for a correctly proportioned, round-faced smart watch. I generally wear mid-priced watches from Citizen, Bulova, etc. When this came along, I thought I'd give it a try. It is priced similarly to the watches I already own. It looks great on the wrist and is very comfortable to wear. It falls between dressy and casual; it is equally appropriate for work in the office, exercise in the gym, or weekend chores/errands. Could wear it with a suit in a pinch. It works well with my Samsung Galaxy Note 4, although some notifications don't make it to the watch (primarily texts). Most do. Many useful functions, and the rotating bezel is very good for navigating them all. The bezel can be a little slippery to get a good hold on, though. Some indentations would help, but the smooth look is cool. Fitness tracking is very good, gets my heart rate, steps, etc. Again, works very nicely with Samsung's "S-Health" app on the phone. One big disappointment is that it seems to confuse the bluetooth in my cars. When I accept calls w/ the watch in my Jeep (UConnect), the calls are routed to the handset instead of to the car's speaker. It happens occasionally in my Honda, too, although not as predictably as in the Jeep. This may have something to do with the cars' vintage (the Jeep is a 2007, the Honda a 2013). The vibrating notifications are palpable but subtle. You can choose which notifications go to the watch, so you're not constantly barraged with interruptions. There is no speaker, so even if your phone is silent, you will get notified without any embarassing beeps or chirps. Of course, this also means that you can't take calls from the watch directly; you must get to your handset. So if you want to be Dick Tracy, you'll have to splurg for the 3G model. I think it's on Verizon. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. I find myself wearing the Gear S2 the majority of the time.

This blows away anything that's android wear. No there may not be as many apps on Tizen as with android, but I don't need a million apps on my wrist. Let me control my music, actually respond to texts with a keyboard, track my fitness and diet, give me a better weather app and I'm happy. I love the watch faces that come on the device, and there's plenty to download ob the Samsung store as well. Get it! You won't regret it.

I absolutely love this watch! My coworker and I both bought this one this year. Between the two of us we have every Samsung gear watch and this is by-far the best. Everyone always asks if I can talk on it (Secret Agent Style) and the answer is no. I am able to swipe to answer but all talking must be done on the handset. I am very happy that I am able to text on it--no more having to preprogram the responses like with the gear fit. I can text back anything I want. I can read the texts, I can even get pictures. I can still control the music and I am able to track all fitness activities. A complaint I remember seeing about the gear fit was that it would not track the heart rate while tracking activity but this one tracks automatically. I wear my watch everyday--at night before I go to bed I stick it on the magnetized wireless charger and every morning, I put it back on. I LOVE IT!!! (despite a slight allergic reaction I appear to be having from the rubber wrist band).

I love all the tasks my watch can perform from notifying me that I've received emails to text messages. I can also track my fitness with and see who's calling me without picking up my phone. It's a great product especially where I work it keeps me in the know while I'm on the run!

First, being a female, the watch is a bit large for my wrist. In spite of that, I love it. There are so many watch faces to choose from so I can change the look to go with my outfit. I love being able to see phone notifications without having to dig through my purse to get my phone. I like being able to track my steps and other fitness activities with it, though I am just beginning to really explore this feature. It's also very convenient, especially when working out, to be able to control music from the watch. Some things on the watch are not immediately obvious, however. For example, the default step goal is 6,000 steps. I had to search on the internet to figure out how to change this. On the other hand, it was not difficult to figure out how to turn off the auto-on feature for the watch face display so that the watch would not light up while I was sleeping. Overall, I am very happy that I purchased this watch.

    My first smartwatch

This is my first smartwatch. I was looking to buy a fitness watch then decide for $50 more I would invest in buying this smartwatch. Which was my first choice, but I still did my research looking at many smartwatch and READ A LOT OF REVIEWS! I decided on this watch which I just love it. does all in which I was looking for it to do. Email, texts, fitness among many other apps. I have the Bluetooth version, not with speaker for you to make calls which you would have to go thru your phone carrier. With the Bluetooth version, you can still make calls from your watch which will connect on your phone or wireless Bluetooth headset etc. May sound like a Hassel believe me it's not. Same as playing music via watch it will automatically open up your music app or store music on your phone and allows you to control what plays, volume etc. Overall I love this watch I do not regret purchasing this smartwatch. It has all the features that I was looking for in a smartwatch. My advice research many smartwatch & read the reviews and think of what is your reasons and what you are looking for in a smartwatch. The battery last me a good 2 days I am not constantly on my phone all day that may also be the reason.. and if you choose to turn off your bluetooth the watch will still work in stand alone mode meaning it will work as a basic watch. Hope this helps

I got the gear s2 little over 2 months ago and it still impresses me. The durability is great and I love that I can modify it to suit my needs. I use it in conjunction with my note 4. Before getting it I couldn't stand the s health app on my note4 but now use it daily. My gear s2 has helped me realize new fitness goals and I use my gear s2 with samsung's level u wireless headphones while at the gym. I would recommend it to anyone venturing into wearable tech.

My husband bought me this watch for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Originally I just wanted a new fitness tracker because my Fit-bit died, he wanted me to look at this watch and see if this is something I would like. Of course I fell in love with it when I saw all it would do. It is great for fitness tracking and much much more. I would defiantly recommend this watch if you are looking for a smart watch.

I had been reluctant to buy a smart watch due to mediocre reviews and I am glad I did wait because this watch does everything I need it to, well. I use it, along with my Bluetooth headphones to answer calls without fishing around in my pocket for my phone and talking hands free while I'm driving. I like the ease of accessing my apps with the rotating bezel and the integrated fitness information.

Gear S2 is a good watch and provides good functionality. Most importantly, it tracks my fitness and I don't need to carry my phone with me just to track my steps for the entire day. Also saves me the hassle of reaching for my phone whenever a text or other message comes in. Very convenient to glance at my watch.

The only problem i have with this product is that i didnt do my research. The version that i got is the wifi version. Which has many great features that i love. Except that it doesnt have a speaker on it. Thats it, only problem. Great product, feels great on wrist. Tracks steps and heart rate. And you can track your intake with it. It also subtly lets you know when you have any notifications. And allows you to reply reasonably easily. The apps for it work well and you can always download new watchfaces.

I bought the smartwatch thanks to a good deal (open box), I paired it easily with my samsung phone! It's perfect for me because I don't always hear my phone when I get a notification or a call, plus, I can track my steps, my workouts... You can customize the presentation and make it suitable for your needs. I have to be honest, I don't need it, but now that I have it I can't live without it! :D
