Watch is great. The straps are awfully designed.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The watch is great. I love the rotating bezel and wouldn't choose another watch because of it. It's a really simple watch to use, and it does all the basic functions. I don't need it for games or anything. The vibration on my wrist is more than enough to get my attention. The only two problems I've had within a month of owning this watch is that the rubber lining underneath the bezel started to come out. I would rotate the bezel, and sometimes it would be extremely hard to rotate. As I keep rotating it, a small thin black piece of rubber would come out. Happened a couple times within the first few weeks. The other problem is that the plastic part of the strap that's attached to the connector (the portion of the strap that connects onto the watch body) is terribly designed. I haven't submerged the watch in water or used it roughly. I put it on in the morning and take it off at night. For both sides, the strap rubber has come off the connecting portion. The picture with both the watch and the strap: The metal portion in the strap is the connection part. On the watch, it came off the strap and is now stuck on my watch and won't come off. The second picture shows the watch body without the connection part.

Very cool and less expensive than Apple
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a lousy fitness watch compared to my Fitbit Surge, but it's very attractive. Voice recognition for voice dictated texting is shockingly good.

way to small for men
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the watch today, it's a great watch, better than my Samsung Gear S, but when I opened the box, I thought I bought a ladies watch, it is WAY TOO SMALL, I wore it for 1 hr and couldn't get over the size, so I returned it. So disappointed with Samsung (first time ever), they should have made a bigger version for men. Samsung saying is "Next Big Thing", there's nothing BIG about this watches size.

Great Design Poor App Selection
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great watch design, actually looks like a watch. The bezel turns which is great and easier than scrolling for me. The biggest issue that I have with the smartwatch is the lack of apps and no GPS. I wanted to use the watch for 2 main reasons, golf and fitness. For Golf, you have two app options, but you must pay for to use the watch. Fitness, has some decent apps, but if you want to go for a jog you have to have your phone to track distance. This is annoying if your not use to running with the oversized phones. I do enjoy getting the text on my watch, I didn't think it would be that big of a deal, but to glance down and see an email or text is pretty cool and no more digging out your phone to see who it was.

Good but not perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was coming from a Samsung Gear S and figured the Gear S2 would be natural progression. Sadly I was wrong. It's a nice watch, does what it is advertised to do, and is clean and lightweight. The rotating Bezel is really cool! The display was decent... Sadly that is where the fun ends. This watch, unlike the original version, does not have sound capabilities! Yes, correct NO SOUND! Typical first world issue, I know! The Samsung Tizen ecosphere has got much smaller on this watch. Less apps than the Gear S. The cheap plastic band felt like just that. Cheap plastic. After about 5 days of usage I realized what was posted all over the internet about this watch... The rotating bezel does not do a great job of sitting in place! On the 5th day I realized I could push it up or down, left or right. Granted maybe only 1 to 1.5 mm's but it still agitated me. It has a nice crisp feel when I got it but felt like silly puddy after a few days of use. Total loss of all tactile feedback. On the 6th day I returned it to get the Huawei watch. Although not perfect either the build quality and the Android ecosystem is far superior to the Samsung watch. Samsung really stepped down in the Gear S2. I was sadly disappointed. Had this watch cost $150.00 to $200.00 I would say GREAT DEAL but it's the same price I paid for the Huawei watch! Sorry Samsung, not this time... Get it together with the Gear S3 and I will be back. Nothing can bear the original Gear S!

Took out the best feature
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the original Galaxy Gear until the watch band broke. Wife got me the new Gear which looks nice, but all the unique features of the original are now gone. The camera, although not used often was one of the unique features which was nice to have when you could not use your phone or regular cameras. The biggest disappointment is you can not use the watch as a hands free debice. You can read your texts and see who is calling but you must use the phone to answer. Trying to type answers back is difficult at bestwhich the keyboard and dial to type in your response. There are plenty of good features but after having the original I am very disapointed in the upgtade.

Great Watch, Terrible Band
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought watch in January 2016. I really like the watch and all of the features but I've already had to send the watch back to Samsung once because the wrist band came apart within the first 3 months of purchase. Samsung made me send the whole watch to them instead of just sending me a new wrist band. The watch was with them for over 6 weeks before I got it back. I got it back with what seems like a new band. The problem now is that the watch band randomly disconnects from the watch face and falls from my wrist to the floor scratching and damaging it. I noticed that it happens often when I wear long sleeve shirts. Come to find out that if I pinch the band together (which happens naturally with movement wearing a long sleeve shirt), the watch band disconnect from the face and falls off (picture demonstrates this). I'm not sure if the band is defective or the whole design of the watch. Either way I have to send the whole watch back to Samsung again to get the band checked. I'll give an update when I get the watch back in another 6 weeks.

Great features on the watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This smart watch has some nice features on it. Notifications help me out alot from missing phone calls and text messages, because I can feel the vibration on my wrist from the watch. It just came out in October and the stand alone version with answering phone calls comes out in November 2015. The only negative so far is it's battery life only last about 27 hours. Other than that great for exercise, walking and running. A lot of nice watch faces.

Excellent, excellent, excellent smartwatch. BUT
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Runs on Tizen, not Android. Due to Samsung's decisions to run Tizen, many apps on your ANDROID phone will not be compatible with the watch, which also brings me to another annoyance. Luckily, I have a Samsung phone so these two devices will work together. But if you have a non-Samsung Android phone, I (need to do some more research) believe it will have compatibility issues. But really, this watch is EXCELLENT. It has an outstanding screen, amazing product finish and quality, and impressive specs. If you like using Samsung's stock apps (I like using 3rd party apps), this watch will not disappoint.

Good design poor app support
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the design and how smooth everything is on the watch. What I don;t like about it is the lack of support for android devices, e.g.: the watch does not support android wear at all, the map app (partially) works on my nexus 5. I said partially because even if you install the "here" map, and after creating a route, the watch asks you to install the map app on your phone (which is already installed).

Good watch, but lacking
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really liked this watch and would have loved to keep it however, this version does not have a speaker. You can answer phone calls but it's basically useless because you can't hear the other side. I had to return it and buy the 3g version from my phone provider. It's a great watch otherwise and love my new 3g one. In my opinion it was worth the extra $50

Kind of bulky for small wrists
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this as a Christmas gift for myself, to pair with my Galaxy 5. I'll go straight into the Cons:I was a little overwhelmed by the size of the watch itself. It's quite bulky when you have small wrists. I wish they offered different size styles. I was a little disappointed that there really wasn't any social media apps, other than getting a notification that someone "liked or commented on my status". I tried to download Milk music, which wasn't supported. The apps were more limited to face screens and health display options. The texting screen is laughable, unless you want to spend 20 mins texting a message. Always go for the voice activation (limited amount of spoken text) or a pre generated message. I wish you could answer your phone via the watch. Pros:I like it in most ways, because I'm not always digging in my pocket, and am more discreet around people rather than sticking my nose in a phone. I live that my office can be charging in a different room, and I still get my message and will show who's calling. I love that I can upload pictures (let us choose the head placement) Some tweaks and extra expanded apps and I'd give it 5 stars.

Good watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall its a good watch, since I'm unable to constantly pull out my phone at work. I wish however it still was able to atleast play music from the watch like the old model. I get they stopped it for privacy issues but I feel that should be your choice. I also feel the band's could be a little different, I have . a small wrist so it's either to tight or I have it comfortable and it loses connection requiring me to read enter the pass code.also sometimes the light stays on and it gets a bit warm, not hot though. I have had only a couple times where the notification wouldn't come through but just turning it off and on fixed that issue. As far as the personal pics you can download some of the ones I have of my kids do not fit, meaning I can only see the bottom half of the pic. You should be able to adjust them. For the next generation the make I'm hoping we can play games on them lol..

Missing Key Features!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While I enjoy the style and ease of use I should have researched the available features. First one is if there is a app to sync the device other than my phone I can't locate it. For goodness sake I would settle for being able to sync it to my Samsung Tablet! Second is the lack of the option to track sleep, which I am in desperate need of. I have been waiting and hoping for a update to resolve these and other issues however no such luck. If am am wrong please let me know where or how to resolve these issues otherwise I may end up having another paperweight. I should have probably just went with the Fitbit which seems to far surpass my Gear S-2, however I am or was a Samsung fan. I was shocked to find out that Samsung's newer models no longer give the option of adding a micro sd card to expand the device storage.

Great just not for me
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a great watch it is just to big for me and it got uncomfortable. I did not like that fact that u can't turn it off with a button. You have to cover it so it turns off, but if u accidentally turn the bezel it turns on again. Another gear fit needs to be made. I like that u can play games on it.

Great smart watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this watch and it has a lot of great features, but the one thing that keep sit from a 5 star rating is the battery life. Unless I am doing something wrong the battery does not last me the whole day. If it lasts 8 hours I'm lucky, other then the battery it is a great watch.
