This is my 2nd Samsung gear S my first was the original Gear S. Comparing both the S2 is a big improvement especially with the wireless charging. The cradle of the gear S broke six months after I purchased it.. The wireless charging is a huge improvement.. The only negative is no speaker. The gear S has a speaker so you can place and receive calls from the watch and play music. The S2 does not have that feature. Nor can you receive calls from the watch. You can place and answer calls but not take then from the watch unlike previous gears...I'm not liking that change but overall a very good watch and a near perfect replacement to the Original Gear S..

After purchasing this watch and using it for the last two months I am completely satisfied. Having the Samsung gear S I can attest that this watch is a lot better for the everyday active person. Though the gear classic does not have a speaker phone or mic for Bluetooth calling it is still a great watch. Battery with normal wear and use lasts for about day to a day and a half. The functions are easy and user friendly and the setup process is seamless. The wireless charging works great as well. Overall this is a must have!

I always get buyers remorse when I buy something. It's just what I do. But I NEVER regretted buying the gear s2. I love it! It does everything I need it to do and fits my petite wrists, which was something I was worried about seeing as I'm 5'2", 110 lbs, and most of the other smartwatches out there are huge on me. The only thing I find annoying about this watch is the lack of apps, but I'm hoping there will be more options in the future. Also, there is no calculator pre-installed on the watch (apparently that's important to some people), but you can download one from the gear store. I downloaded "Calculator" by Samsung and it works great!

This is a very comfortable band to wear. You don't know your wearing it. About the gear2 itself, so far im very pleased with it. It's shows my steps and it has a appt that keeps that you put what you eat ,and shows your calories and calories burned. I receive my text and phone calls on this gear2. I can text but don't talk. I beleive you need service with your cell company for talking but not texting. I didnt need it. Facebook notified me when someone posted for me. Love it. I tried the fitbit, didn't like how it felt on my arm and didn't have what the Samsung gear2 has. I have the gear2 with white band. I have tried four different kinds. I very satisfied with samsung gear2. I have samsung phone and im not sure about other phones, but setup is very easy and lots of keep if needed.

I bought this and loved the design, and the rotating bezel was a great invention, but this device only works well with select software and Google is nowhere to be found.

I actually love how this watch works. It paired easily to my 2015 Moto X pure edition. The rotating bezel is the most amazing way to interact with my watch. Only two gripes, SHealth doesn't have enough options in regard to what kind of exercise I want to do. Also, heart rate monitor is not accurate when I do weight training and stairmaster. However, it is spot on when I run, walk, or take aerobics classes. I highly recommend this watch, really nice size, so women don't be afraid of the size.

The watches are a great tool for everyday life. I never miss a message, call, or email because my wrist lights up and vibrates. The battery life is way better than I expected it to be since I had the classic version before and it only lasted a day, maybe. This watch lasts between 2 and 3 on a single charge. The app list has gotten way better since the watch came out but I still find it a bit lacking. My only real problem with this watch it the dark matter finish gets scuffed up pretty easily, not nearly as resilient as the gloss or silver finish. Overall a great product for life.

I came from wearing a Moto360 (1st gen) for about 18 months. The battery was dying and it was time for a new watch. I was ready to invest in another Moto360 (2nd gen) watch, but found out Motorola was discontinuing their Moto360 lineup. So I researched the Samsung smartwatch lineup and was pleased to find out that the G2 and G3 does not require the wearer to own a Samsung phone to pair with the watch. After wearing this G2 watch for several months now, I love this watch. I love the size (the G2 fits a female's wrist A LOT better than the G3). I love the battery life...its about 36 hours long and it doesn't Take long to recharge it. The included charging dock is magnetic, so the watch is sure to connect correctly for a proper charge. Samsung has an app available on their website that gives you the ability to customize your own watch faces... which I've made several. The Samsung Fit app is easy to access and provides great details. I also love the timer and stopwatch mode which I use frequently. Something I like about the stopwatch mode that's on this G2 vs the Moto360 (1st gen) is the screen stays on while the stopwatch is going until you stop it. Whereas the screen on the Moto360 automatically goes off after 10 seconds or so, and when I want to stop the timer, it would take an extra several seconds for the screen to respond in order for you to stop the stopwatch. This watch is not an android wear watch... it has it's own operating system, so applications and watch faces are not as readily available as an android watch or apple watch. I wish Samsung offered smaller faced G3 watches that fits women or smaller wrist users. I also wish the G2 had speakers, if I wanted to play downloaded music from the watch.

This smart watch keeps me connected to my phone, reminds me of my fitness goals and keeps me coordinated. Most of all it's fun and easy to use. You can't go wrong with a preloaded Snoopy watchface.

I have been using this smartwatch for a month now and love it! After researching smartwatches for the better part of a year I decided on this watch. I wanted a smartwatch that was round and had a nice interface. I really enjoy the Tizen platform. Perhaps the best feature of this watch is the rotating bezel used for navigation. I am using this watch with a Motorola Nexus 6 and so far everything has integrated very well. I also read about drops in the bluetooth connection but I have yet to experience any connection losses. Very happy with my purchase!

I am very happy with the watch so far. The band is comfortable and the face is not too big for my dainty wrist. I love the rotating bezel and while apps are limited, there is one for everything I would need or want. I do not get two full days out of the battery, but since I do not use the sleep tracker I charge at night. The fitness apps seem to work well, but S Health will not sync with My Fitness Pal, which was a major disappointment.

First, being a female, the watch is a bit large for my wrist. In spite of that, I love it. There are so many watch faces to choose from so I can change the look to go with my outfit. I love being able to see phone notifications without having to dig through my purse to get my phone. I like being able to track my steps and other fitness activities with it, though I am just beginning to really explore this feature. It's also very convenient, especially when working out, to be able to control music from the watch. Some things on the watch are not immediately obvious, however. For example, the default step goal is 6,000 steps. I had to search on the internet to figure out how to change this. On the other hand, it was not difficult to figure out how to turn off the auto-on feature for the watch face display so that the watch would not light up while I was sleeping. Overall, I am very happy that I purchased this watch.

I bought the Samsung Gear S2 the day it came out so I've had it for about 11 days. It was my first smartwatch purchase ever. Pros: -Good battery life if you turn off the "auto" watch face. -Rotating bezel is great for lefties. Even using the buttons on the side isn't too awkward. -Easy to use / operate. -Nice selection of options for receiving notifications (Twitter, Instagram, FB, Messenger). Cons: -If you turn off the "auto" watch face, you manually have to hit a button or rotate the bezel to see the time, which *kinda* defeats the purpose of a WATCH. -Pedometer was very inaccurate (had to wear on my ankle to get an accurate reading but again, that defeats the purpose of a WATCH). -No sleep tracking on this watch, although having Samsung's SHealth is supposed to be a plus for this device. -No speaker on the watch which isn't a HUGE deal (let's be honest, I don't want to look like a jerk having a conversation on my watch in public) but it wasn't clearly specified in any reviews I had previously read. -Small selection of apps. -Heaven forbid I walk to the other end of the house & expect the Bluetooth to stay connected (using with a Samsung S6 Edge). All in all, the cons outweighed the pros for me, especially with the $300 price tag.

I have had other Smart Watches before that have been returned because they are too big and bulky. I have a Gear Fit also but I am not someone to advertise trying to get in shape. This Gear S2 is a keeper! With it's round shape it looks like a watch so I can use it to track everything I want without it being obvious. Took a little time to get it set up like I wanted but now that it is, I love it. The only con I have is the watch strap doesn't stay white very long. Will be changing it to a different color soon.

packed with lots of useful features/apps. I love that i can do a lot with my phone by just talking to my watch (timers and alarm are my favorite). send quick message while driving without taking eyes off the road and keeping hands on steering wheel, adds a new dimension to hands-free.... different watch faces available. can be used to locate phone and vice versa. Battery lasts about 2days without charging. Initially thought this was an over-priced extension of my phone but it's worth the cost.

Coming from the Moto 360, the battery life on this one is way better. It can easily give you 2 full days. The touch screen is responsive and accurate, text very clear and voice recognition is very good. Dial mechanism is great for making selections. Many faces and apps to choose from Samsung or Google. Haven't found any downsides to it yet.

I actually intended on upgrading my galaxy phone to iphone and go with the Apple Watch but when they showed me the Galaxy S2, I immediately loved the rotating bezel feature. As one who prefers round watches, I instantly liked the sleek design. Only downside (compared to the Apple watch) is you cannot do phone calls over the watch. I have had it for a month now, the battery is more than adequate for a full days use. If your looking into smart watches, I highly recommend you check out the Gear S2.
