This a fantastic laptop for the price. High quality screen and high build quality are part of the many reasons. The price for the specs in this computer is tough to beat, especially when you factor in the great battery life.The touchpad is good not great. This computer will do anything required for the average user without trouble. For advanced users there are several things you can do to take the laptop to the next level. There is an available M.2 slot which allows the user to install an SSD. Also the 12 GB of memory is easily expandable to 32 GB. Only attempt these things if you KNOW what you are doing, if not take it to a professional. Be prepared to take a lot of time when you open up the computer. After the screws, there is a system of snaps that keeps the bottom attached with the rest of the computer and it can be very difficult to take off.

Unfortunately we have nit had good results with this computer. after 4 months the computer crashed!!! it was sent by best buy to Samsung to fix. came back and two weeks in has crashed again. we are going back to best buy today. i will update this review and see what happens. i want a new computer!!!! not happy

I was assured by their staff that this computer was a great and working model. Not only did it not work but I had to argue the entire time with a staff member. Horrible service

A brand new lap-top should run smoothly when you first turn it on. The first thing I encounter are error messages. Very frustrating. Working on getting this issue resolved.

My old HP gaming laptop, which I loved, finally came unhinged....literally, cracking the display housing with no way to repair. It was very stressful deciding upon a laptop to replace it. After much research I decided on the Samsung Notebook 7. After placing my order, it arrived in two days without incident and with frequent order status updates from Best Buy. Since I was used to Windows 10, setup and downloads of my favorite applications were a breeze. It arrived at my house at 6:15 pm and I was up and running in about 35 minutes without incident. The display is clear and sharp. The speakers are good for this type of laptop, although a little more bass had to be added via audio setup. The lighted keyboard is a big plus, black keys with white back lighting.. The laptop is running fairly cool and is very quiet. I find the keyboard has a good touch and feel. Overall the laptop looks nice and build quality seems excellent. Every component is working fine. I've only used it for a couple of hours thus far, but I am very pleased thus far.

This is by far one of the best laptops. It is easy and quick to set up. The quality of the device definitely beats the competition. The computer is light weight and thin so traveling with it is easy. It is quiet and the battery life is amazing. This is one of the best computers that you can buy for the price.

I bought this computer to replace my dead 2010 macbook pro. I was looking for something less expensive, with a good screen, upgradable, and some bells and whistles, but would also be compatible with my work needs. I am mostly very pleased with this. It took several days to get everything up and running, and there are a few quirks that I'm not crazy about, but overall, I like it. Quirk #1: The on/off button is in a really bad spot on the side of the computer, right where I put my hand to pick it up, so every time I want to move it, I accidentally put it to sleep. I've never seen an off/off button in that spot before. Weird. Quirk #2: This seems to be a problem with Windows 10, as I have noticed it on my work computer ever since the upgrade. As I am working, my screen will suddenly zoom in or out. I don't know if I am bumping the track pad, or what, but it is seriously frustrating. I disabled the touch screen, so at least that part isn't zooming all over the place anymore, but trying to work in Word is an exercise in frustration with the constant zooming. Quirk #3: the mouse buttons on the track pad kind of ... suck. It takes several tries to get them to select, and they don't seem to select in the locations where they should. Again, a little frustrating. Quirk #4: The keys are a little too spread apart, and the keyboard is noisy -- very clicky-clicky. That said, I like the backlighting on the keyboard. I'm able to work on my computer in the dark without any problems. Quirk #5: Why is the power cord so short? Quirk #6: Battery life could be better, especially given the short power cord. I went with the larger computer (the 15.6") in order to get teh better i7 processor, but I would have been happier with the smaller size of the 13.3" computer. Too bad they only offered that one with the i5 processor and the lower memory. Overall, I'm very happy. I can see that I will eventually want to upgrade the memory and add a SSD, and I'm glad that I chose a computer where that is a possibility. It is a little bit heavier than other computers, but I like the flexibility of an upgradable computer, and I"m happy to have a real keyboard, not one of those floppy detachable keyboards like the Surface Pro that I have (and hate) at work. I wish this was my work computer, and I'm looking for ways to work from home as much as possible now.

I am a photographer and use this laptop to edit photos and general web browsing. It is extremely fast, sleek and I absolutely love everything about it. The ONLY thing that bugs me is how easy it is to hit the off button on the side.

After returning two HP Envy computers that were defective, I went back and bought this Samsung computer. Great product! Sleek, fast, sturdy, and works well! Best Buy provided such good customer service. Helped me with my new selection and assured that I was satisfied.

I never thought I would get a 2-in-1 because I wasn't sure how well they would work or if they would last very long. In looking for a new laptop I found this one and decided to try it and I've very glad I did. It's slim with a large screen and I love the touch screen. The only issue I've had with it is when I hookup my second monitor. A couple times it has irritated the computer and the touch screen thinks its being touched so I can't do anything else. By turning the touchscreen off and on again it fixed the issue, but would be nice if that didn't happen to begin with.

The Samsung Notebook is a formidable laptop that reaches most needs superbly while also looking fabulous on surfaces. However, it can act sporadically.

This is the first out of 3 laptops that I have truly enjoyed and loved! It's a very good looking laptop. Its a very "quiet" laptop and what I mean by that is that whenever you type on the keyboard or close the laptop, you barely hear a sound! It processes pretty fast, the battery last and I would totally recommend getting this laptop. The only thing I was surprised about was that it was a little on the heavy side, but that's minor. Overall, very modern and the best laptop ever!

Each 2 in 1 laptop had one thing missing. I could not find one that had but not one thing very important missing. Either it didn't have a graphics card, or an Ethernet port, or low ram, or no back-lit.. you get me. This is the most powerful most versatile laptop, 2 in 1 folding pc. It has wireless AC, Ethernet, huge 12 gb ram, i7, UHD screen all the ports, built in video card, touch, flips, gaming pc games "killing floor 2" was a breeze. Not putting in a Microsoft Account made the OS bother me alot less and allows everyone to use it without a password.

Read lots of review before purchasing. Am a fan of Samsung products and am not disappointed. Was looking for a computer that would have great graphics for moderate gaming (Cities Skyline, Civilization) and also great for school. Very sturdy feel, runs smooth, great feeling keyboard and good battery life.

I needed a lap top for work. I do medical billing at home and continually have multiple web pages open along with a few other programs (excel, word, adobe, etc) open all at the same time. I also run at least 1 other monitor, sometimes 2 additional monitors and this laptop handles all of that without any lag or glitch. I don't use the tablet version very often but otherwise I have really beaten this laptop up and it has handled everything I have thrown at it without a problem! I highly recommend this computer to anyone who is looking for a lap top that can multitask with the best of them. I also really like that the vents are on the back of the machine so when it is on a desk or lap, it can still vent and keep itself cool (which I have burned out 2 HP lap tops running so many items and the vents not venting enough to keep up with it all)

The pros, Touchscreen and versatility Runs everything I need it to with ease Fast Keyboard is awesome Cons Battery life is 2 hours or so ( with how I use it online gaming ) It does get warm with extended use. Power button location Great laptop and I recommend getting it if it fits your needs, I have a few complaints though mostly I find that the battery does not last long at all, if you are going to be away from a plug in for long periods of time, you'd be frustrated with the laptop dying. If that's not an issue for you then don't worry about it, and buy this laptop.

This is my second Samsung computer and I am happy with its performance. The only thing that would improve it would be SSD memory.

The computer is great works fantastic, speedy, great sound and video, however whomever decided it would be a good idea to put the power button on the side made a big mistake, so far in the three days i have owned this i have accidentally shut it down about a dozen times while picking the thing up because the power button is on the side right where you grab it to move it
