A: Jon, there is an available M.2 slot for the SSD. You do not need to take out the existing HDD. I forget all the exact details but this is the model number of the Samsung SSD I installed: MZ-N5E500BW. There is a noticeable speed difference, while worth the cost and effort
A: There is a glow around the whole key, along with the letters and symbols being translucent. Hopefully the picture I uploaded will give a good idea of what to expect (in a dark room at max light setting). You can also select three levels of illumination intensity, along with turning the feature off. JR
A: It is only on the 15.6 inc i7 model i believe, it is there it was under a golden ribbon thing (not really sure what it was) i had to snap back the black plastic to remove it so i could access the m.2 slot, easy install it took about an hour
Q: Can you remove the battery easily?
A: No, the battery is inside of the computer and you would need to take apart this laptop to remove the battery.
A: the additional SSD M.2 slot is under the flat wire, the flat wire is about 2 inches long, you have to remove one side of flat wire in order to see or install the M.2 SSD. what I remember is the M.2 slot just up above of the Hard drive location little bit.
Q: How hot does this laptop get? Does it have a fan?
A: I believe it does have a fan but I am certain that in the month that I have had it so far it has never gotten hot
A: Using premiere pro with no problems.
Q: Is this a metal laptop? Aluminum? Carbon fiber? Or is this another hard plastic laptop?
A: This is a full Metal case laptop. I am very satisfied with my purchase and would by it again. The only thing I would change would be the hard drive. The 1 terabyte drive slows the system down on startup and when opening certain large applications.
