This chromebook is a little more expensive than I originally planned to spend. Ultimately, I decided to get this one because it had a slightly larger screen than some of the cheaper options. The stylus is a great addition, and works pretty well, though apps that really cater to stylus input are somewhat hard to come by. Running android apps on this are shotty. Sometimes they work great. Other times they want to lock up and it affects all of the other open apps. It performs really well, and is pretty responsive and zippy. The more I use it, the more I feel it was worth the extra money over the cheaper chromebooks. The screen is a good size, and the resolution is better than some of the alternatives. Overall, I think the extra cost is justified by all the extra features you get.

Last year, I picked up a Chromebook 3 to replace my Gen 4 ipad as my traveling device for working remotely. I very quickly found that the Chromebook was an amazing device for doing all the things I needed to do, plus. I quickly decided that I wanted the next model up and have been watching the prices on this one since. I have an office365 subscription so I'm frequently using word/excel/outlook on this machine (via the web versions). I also have Visual Studio Code installed in the Linux VM along with .Net Core and frequently use it to prototype and initiate projects. As I frequently hear about Macs, this just works. The OS get's out of the way and let's you accomplish what you need to get done.

I purchased this chromebook to replace an old HP Stream that was failing to run Windows 10 in an acceptable manner. Moving to chrome was the best thing I did. This machine is very light, easily portable and to travel with, and the battery life is fantastic. Top that off with a secure operating system, touch screen, stylus, and convertible form factor, it's fantastic for the price and even better when on sale! I'd highly recommend this chromebook. USB-C and A ports, fast charging, great screen colors, Samsung did a great job here!

I’m using this as a work laptop plus I’m streaming on it. It’s touch screen is really receptive, the pen that’s hidden is what sold me. Having the pen to draw when in tablet mode helps but isn’t needed b/c of the touchscreen. Everything about this chromebook has been amazing. I highly recommend it. Just know there’s not a lot of memory. Again I’m using to log spreadsheet numbers for my business so having google drive & sheets was a big selling point instead of paying an extra $80-100 on Microsoft office. It’s also compact & light which I love. Priced @350 instead of a $1000 MacBook Air didn’t hurt either.

This little chromebook is very good for college students who don't want to break the bank on a laptop. Many people like to drop excessive amounts of money on Macs for school but the functionality of this chromebook exceeds them for a small fraction of the price. This chromebook is very sleek and leightweight, and the fact that it doubles as a tablet is very useful. For the small pricetag you really can't really ask for more out of this little chromebook. Of course this can't perform any graphics intensive or CPU intensive processes but that is not the point of a chromebook.

Got this $100 off. Works great, it’s battery lasts all day, fairly fast, great screen. There were “Chrome Representatives” from google at the store when I bought this. Looking at a Lenovo but I asked each rep what they actually used and both of them used this one ( I had them pull it out of their backpacks to verify). Kids do all of their schoolwork on this also. No complaints for $400

I am very happy so far. I've had this about a month. I do very basic things and this is perfect. I bought this because I needed something with a bigger screen than my tablet and something to upload pictures from an SD card. This is perfect. My kids use it for Google classroom/docs when doing school work. I do my banking, shopping, emails and social media on this. The touch screen is nice. Haven't had any issues. It's very convenient to have. Small, lightweight & easy to use

I purchased 2 of these for my children to do their school work at home during the pandemic. We have been using them for roughly a week now & have no complaints. It’s a lightweight laptop that is fast & easy to use. The children love the touch screen & the stylus that came with it. For the price & what we intend to use it for it is perfect for us. I would recommend this product to others.

only if hinges are made better...

For normal and gentle (mechanically) use, this chromebook is doing great. Very fast Operating System, very nice keyboard! Well made hardware (in general) and also sharp screen... The pen works very well, the touch screen is very accurate. Battery life time is just amazing... All is good except the mechanical hinges. They are not so strong. If not careful, you can brake them. I bought 3 Samsung Plus, the other 2 used by other people have cracked in the chassis. Mine not yet. Maybe because of me. Chromebook OS is very capable. Linux programs runs fine (specially with the last update). Chrome OS is doing just fine running the daily tasks. When short handed, it is for Android apps or Linux integration to do the job. I'd recommend it for hassle free web browsing and moderate office usage. Not bad to have on trips and when moving around (mobile office).

My daughter is 8 years old in second grade, she has been using google chrome at school to practice her typing skills and learning how to do basic research. Her teacher also has a website with extra activities they can do to study their spelling words, math, science and the like. This computer couldn’t be any more perfect for her! It’s easy to use and turns into a tablet! It’s the best of both worlds & it’s also super fast. I absolutely recommend for a younger school aged child, since that’s what I needed it for!

If your looking for a great chromebook this is it. The display is excellent full IPS, so the viewing angles are spot on. Lightweight, touchscreen, and the battery last a long time, I picked this up pre-COVID and it really came in handy. My kids did all of their school work on it from presentations to video calls.

Worked great for 7 months, then hinge broke

    Posted .

Computer worked great. Then 7 months later I simply opened it, the left hinge broke, snapped out of the frame, cracked the screen, and won't hold its position anymore. When I called Samsung and told them what happened, they said because I "forced it open when the hinge was stuck" that I caused the damage to the screen and it's not covered by the warranty. I told them that I didn't force it open at all, I simply opened it, but they said that if JUST the hinge was stuck, it would be covered, but since the broken hinge and my "forcing" the hinge open cracked the screen, it's not covered. And it will take a couple hundred dollars to fix and 7-14 business days. Not worth it, going to order a Mac right now. Other reviews mention this same issue.

The chromebook is very good, light and fast. I use it for traveling and have not had any issues with it. It went on sale which made it a better deal..don't think I would of paid full price. It does not have a backlit keyboard..not too much of an issue for me. It does have a touchscreen which I use ..also comes with a stylus which I have not used.

I decided to go with a chromebook after realizing I can do almost everything on a daily basis on my cell phone already. I didn't need tons of space or power,-just mostly web based research, Googke docs for some personal writing, and access to google photos mostly. I went to the local Best Buy and was really impressed with the look and feel of this and the Pixelbook Go but the Pixelbook was 2x the price I used the Samsing today for prob 5 hours minimum and still had 30% battery left. When closed it charged quickly. It worked as fast as my old Macbook Pro and the look and feel are just as good. My only complaint is no backlit keyboard. Otherwise for $300 I absolutely love it.

Sleek, lightweight, easy to use, syncs with all of my current equipment. I'm an Android user and having this able to access all of the items on my phone and connect to my drives is fantastic. The ability to convert it to a tablet to write on was crucial in my decision making and I am very pleased with it. Sometimes the response time is slow and my writing takes a few seconds to catch up but other than that it's quite nice. Front facing camera is great, haven't had any issues with it. I have not tried the other camera so I can't speak to that at this time. Overall this is exactly what I needed for my work and studies.

This was purchased for my young adult niece. Runs fast. Runs multiple windows. Does well for school work, streaming apps, internet etc. Runs smooth, good power. Battery life is several hours as noted. I only wish outside material was better quality. Haven't used the pen yet, other than testing it out the box. Feels like a pencil. Tou can find hard shell cases and bag on Amazon for decent prices.Just make sure you are purchasing it for the exact model. I would love to get the Dell 14 for myself. The new Samsung is a little steep for me, maybe a notebook, not chromebook.

definitely happy with the purchase. it's has a very clear screen to watch movies and videos on, I love the stylus for drawings and notes,it's super light and incredibly compact. the only downside is probably the speakers, to me it's not a problem because when I'm home I play the sound through my speakers and when I'm out of the house I use headphones. but I can see that it might be a problem for some people. overall though, I would definitely recommend it to a friend and I'm really happy with the purchase
