Convenient & neat, but poor battery life
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a student and bought this for nursing school where I would need something lightweight, versatile and compatible with my schools software. This fit all the requirements, although I noticed it said it had a battery life of 10 hours and when I charged it fully (without overcharging it), it only showed on the computer itself as having 5 hours and 46 minutes of life. Very disappointing as I don't expect this to last me a full day at school withiut worrying if I brought my charger with me or not.

Can´t mirror the screen through VGA cable:(
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love this little gadget and hate to have to return it; but it lacks one very important feature:( I am a teacher and I bought this Chromebook in order to use it at work (instead of carrying a heavy Macbook). I tried several USB C to VGA adaptors and none worked with the Chromebook. I can mirror the screen from an iPad, a Macbook, a PC computer and even from my phone! The adaptors I use work flawlessly. But there is no way to project anything from this Chromebook! How is it possible? Is there any USB C to VGA adaptor, which is compatible with a chromebook? Schools use old equipment and God knows when they will switch to HDMI cables... On the bright side, everything else works well on this machine. The touch screen and the speakers could be better, but the keyboard is fantastic, all apps and the chrome browser work very fast for basic needs, and the screen is very vibrant. I like the stylus as well, when you are in a tablet mode and need to click on something, or make a screenshot. You get a lot for 400$ and if it weren´t for the VGA problem, I would never take it back. Samsung or Chrome people, please help! There should be a compatible adaptor out there... I would have given this product 5 stars if was I able to use this device in the classroom. Thanks!:)

Hinge Failure
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do not recommend this product. Great product for the first 18 months. Then experienced a catastrophic failure at top left side. Hinge pulls out of the cover and cracks the display. It was a great product but this is a design flaw.

You are buying a prototype operating system
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Be aware of what you are buying: you are buying a prototype operating system that is of medium importance to Google or they don't enough resources. The system is pretty closed. Many basic apps/services are missing. Apps/services that are available can break at any time and there will be no support. Everything that this huge corporation can offer in terms of support is a "community support": unpaid volunteers.

overall good chromebook
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mine shuts of randomly. I love it otherwise. I would reccomend it to anyone its just make sure to get it with a longer return date in case yours shuts off like mine. I cant return it at all. Also I save everything on google docs so if you want memory for a chromebook it may not be worth it as the price goes up. Personally though i love chromebooks. Just dont like it shuting off all the time.

HORRIBLE
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have bought 2 of these laptops. Same problem with both. The laptop will just stop working and black screen out if no where. I had this last one for a year and it just went blackscreen and never worked again. I went to get it fixed and they said it was unable to be fixed. DO NOT BUY!
