Not a bad chromebook, but lacks power for the cost
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really did enjoy several aspects of the Samsung chromebook I purchased. Unfortunately in the end it just wasn't enough of a performer for my needs. Multitasking became difficult at times and there were little glitches with the screen in tablet mode versus desktop mode. I am not saying this is an issue with all of the laptops, just the one I purchased in particular. I thoroughly enjoyed the S-Pen and the ability to run Android Apps from the Playstore. Overall it was a good chromebook/laptop in general. I just opted for a more powerful model in the end due to my particular usage. I will say that while for the most part it was of a good build quality, there was a noticeable difference between the materials used for the top half of the laptop and a much lesser grade of material for the bottom portion/keyboard. Not sure if this is just a model difference, but I have used the other model and it does speak to a much better feeling of the overall quality when the material is all the same. Also the touch sensitivity when using the screen with your finger or even the S-pen was a notably unresponsive at times. It just seems to take a little more force/deliberate touch. All of these things are what led me to feel that while this is a good laptop with great features, it just wasnt worth the price point in my opinion.

Chrome book hinge is broken
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was working well until this first week of November, the chrome book is hard to open. Tried to open it but the left hinge was broken. The left hinge went out of the left lower part of the chrome book screen. So recently we purchased a new one, I hope it won’t have the same problem.

Good for browsing, Not for note taking
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Device has a great screen and good battery. Very light weight for its size. The stylist is lacking features and too skinny for heavy use...just doesn't fell like a pen or pencil. If you need to take note spend more and go with the Tab S4

No Palm Rejetion?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device is beautiful, it has beautiful resolution, it is super fast, the pen is cool however, it seems like there is no Palm Rejection. Using Google Keep in tablet mode was almost impossible as different apps continuously opened whenever my palm hit them. Using Squid was a little better. I decided not keep this device since I couldn't use the pen as intended. I must also mention that a couple of times while in tablet mode apps on the left side of the screen wouldn't open. I exchanged this for the Samsung Chromebook Pro which is a beautiful machine that I really loved using. Palm Rejection worked great. All of the specs were great. Just couldn't enable Adobe Flash or pair with certain bluetooth devices, which I didn't know wasn't possible before my purchase, so I had to take that back too. If those weren't issues for me I would have loved to have kept it. It was so beautiful, backlit keyboard had a nice green light, the resolution was the best I've seen 2400×1600 like the Google Pixelbook. * I do miss the Samsung Chromebook Pro.* Honestly, if I wasn't on a budget, I would have kept it but i need to buy a device that has more features.

Nice but can be fragile
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice design, light weight and slim. The OS is very fast. The hinges appeared to be low quality and one of the hinges stuck when opening (not forced, just normal opening) the caused a crack in the corner of the screen. The good news was Samsung support, after just 5 minutes on the phone, had FedEx pick it up the next day and we got it back in 1 week, fully repaired.

Little Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this little laptop with the pretense that it converts to a tablet that can use a pen. The BB sales clerk said i could get the pen with the purchase for $99 more. However, after getting my little laptop home, and excited about the pen features, I quickly found out the laptop does not support the use of the pen. I was under the impression the salespeople knew their stuff at Best Buy. However, the laptop is cute and compact. I purchased it for school and wanted it exclusively for writing my homework and research. This computer would be ok for everyday use, but has problems keeping itself together for writing and research purposes. It would shut down and blue screen. For an average little computer it is just fine. Better than a Chromebook or smaller laptop. If you want to use your laptop for research or more than 4 tabs open at any given time, go with a better processor. Just my opinion... Regards and good luck.

not user friendly for Windows users
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very difficult to get used to Chromebook as i have been Windows user since the beginning. some specifics - cant close some apps. they remain running till system is restarted. No way i have found to set the default app for avi format video. cant do 'copy/paste' of one file from a media disk. Personally i dont like that Google gets everything from the computer. the concept of the 'cloud' does not sit well with me. I want all my files on local storage. I use the Chromebook off-line a lot. THe micro-san card slot does not properly read the card. I have music saved on one and the music app stumbles thru the songs - plays parts of one, then repeats it, then plays parts of 2nd song and then goes back to first song. i put the micro card in a holder and used USB-3 port and it place correctly. but Chromebook wants to format the USB card everytime i install it. Had the system about a month and very seriously thinking about returning it and getting Windows machine. Positives - foot print is nice. just the size i want with intergral keyboard. no screen touch typing. when i can get it to work correctly, its fast. screen resolution is excellent. battery life is good. however, the charger is 8 volt output. most chargers are 5 volt. the provided charger comes with hard connected cable. no usb style port on the charger. finding a secondary charger may be problematic.

Good But Has Limitations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this Chrome Book for work but quickly found out that even though I use the Chrome browser for all my work, it doesn't run the Microsoft products I use since the licenses aren't on the Chrome Book. So, if you're just using the unit to surf the web and some light work tasks not requiring specific licenses, it works great and the battery life is amazing compared to my regular laptop. It's definitely a compact light machine you can throw in your bag if you have access to wifi.

Great divide with terrible wifi antenna
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've never own a chromebook and I am using this a lot, for traveling, media consumption etc, I really love it's long battery and lightweight. BUT The wifi on this machine sucks, I am not sure if I got a defective one or it's the model, but when all other devices are full on wifi this one is halved. If it wasn't for the wifi I would give it 5/5

Solid laptop if it works.
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought two of these. One is still running fine and is a solid laptop for doing schoolwork. The other died and would not turn back on. Luckily we were able to get a gift card from Samsung after they were not able to fix it but it was still frustrating that it died for no reason. The laptop itself is solid and very versatile. There is a stylus and the touch screen are cool.

It's an OK Chromebook
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'd like to give a rating of 3.5, if I have the half point choice. This is my first chromebook ever. I like its color and size, not the weight. I wish it could be a bit lighter. Everything works all right so far except for the touch screen, which is not as sensitive as a smartphone touch screen.

Cheaply Made
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The hinges that connect the screen to the keyboard broke the glass on the screen one day when the hinges basically stopped rotating. I hope they have made better product since this version was made.

YOu get what you pay for.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Thin, light, and for the price, it can do basic web browsing and Google's equivalent of Microsoft Office, but not much else. This would be perfect for elementary or high school students who just want a basic machine to do schoolwork. The limited memory will also hinder performance greatly as more tabs are opened in the browser. The low price also means that the hardware inside will be close to impossible to upgrade if you're a regular user. You'll be forced to buy another device once your needs go beyond basic internet browsing, typing up documents, or joining your online video classes.

Good until it wasn’t
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hinge on computer broke and cracked the screen. For a convertible tablet to lap top not very sturdy in the hinge department.

Fair performance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very nice and fair performance. 4gb ram, stutters occasionally but nice over all... I personally prefer something with a little more power /responsiveness

Stylus creates a great use
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great to work with. Just wish the screen would detach so I wouldn't have to mistakenly press my keyboard, but overall it's great.

ok but not so well with apps
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like my chromebook but the main reason for upgrading was for the play store apps. I use microsoft apps for work and this chromebook does not work well. I am able to download outlook, excel, and word, and also open them, but I am not able to use them. As soon as i click something it crashes. I am able to use all google apps well and love this part of the chromebook. For personal use, I use docs, sheets and drive. But microsoft is a must for work so I am hoping this is fixed.

SAMSUNG PLUS 2-IN-1
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first year the device was great all while still under the protection plan. However, around the 18 month mark, the computer just stopped working. Would not turn on or charge. This has happened to several people that I know with the same product.

Battery drains quickly.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm very happy with this computer, but very unhappy with the fact that my battery drains almost instantly as soon as it's unplugged. I'm also very displeased with Best buy for recommending what I thought would be a compatible anti virus protection. I have reached out to Best buy but had no answers from them. I could not see the details on the virus protection, before buying.
