forget about a home theater set-up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to add to the Samsung 6700 curved tv + 8500 soundbar/subwoofer, which I purchased last year at BestBuy. The speaker itself is very nice and would have served the purpose for which I intended it. However, the connection app is terrible, Samsung support is terrible, and the Samsung information out there is both misleading and unhelpful. Eventually got it all to work, but the next day the successful set-up had disappeared and we were back to square one. I did a lot of research and reading online before I got it, so I had some sense of the difficulties ahead, but I thought, "No, this will work out, just as Samsung promises." Uh, no. All the bad things you read about the app and the support are true. I will be returning the speaker this week. Too bad. The concept is great; Samsung's delivery just isn't there.

$100 bluetooth speaker does just as good

If what you wanted to do something that wasn't in the app like using spotify or another app it didn't work the same. The sound quality was okay but the speaker isn't worth what it's priced at.
