This is the perfect start up system for home security and the start to your smart home.

Creating solutions that are not directly available "out of the box" is difficult. Unfortunately, coming up with those types of solutions is easier than expected. You need to figure out what you want from a Smart Home perspective and do your research to discover which accessories you need. I think you will find it gets expensive very quickly, because doing any specific task seems to require a new specific accessory. For example, maybe you would like an audible alert when a door opens. You have the sensor for the door in the box, but do you have the right type of speaker to alert you (and no, an Echo or Google Home won't count... surprise). If you do not have very simple requirements or are not very technical, you might find yourself quickly frustrated.

I am pleased with the way my Samsung Smartthings starter kit worked. I would buy again.

Bought this because my condo was trashed by a water leak from either the association or my neighbor - no one knows for sure. $40k later and the Insurance Company denial of black mold claims - it's the way to go. This has already caught an AC drain that pluged and backed up from my neighbors unit - which is tied into my pipe. Moisture sensor signaled my phone immediately.

I love this alarm it's self monitoring and I love that I'm able to access it when I want and do as I please with it. The open format allows for amazing accessible features like the lighting system, the thermostat, the cameras and the list continues. I love this product and it's a must have in every household.

This is simple to set up and use, but the devices feel old, not really cutting edge. I bought the package primarily for the hub, which has worked out well

Samsung Monitoring is an Excellent DIY monitoring to start with.Hub is really good in integrating with all my Smart devices.Expecting Samsung would provide more compatible sensors. Worth the Money.Have it for past 4 months no issues till date.
