Good starter kit, easy to setup. I'm already adding accessories.

I had a home alarm/monitoring system which I paid a monthly subscription. My main concern was for entry into my home and water leaks. I installed the Samsung Smarthing system, including entry, water and temp sensors along with a few others. Worked perfectly and eliminated the need for the monthly fee and false alarm dispatches to fire/police.

Samsung smart things works as avertised and i have added lights and other items to it from other mfg and no issues. ONe item i would like to be added is a web based tool for rules. YOu can only access it through a cell phone at this time.

This works great as a security system and home automation.

This is the best HUB on the market by far, after trying several other brands I have to say this has had the best integration with all my devices and the online forums are great for troubleshooting if you do have a problem. Controls all my door locks, outside lights at dusk/dawn, pool lights, all door/window sensors and even my garage door!

Best thing for combining automated home technologies.

Everything works well except the Samsung camera (won't connect wirelessly) and water leak sensor sends false alarm almost everyday. The presence sensor also left and came back although it was hanging in the pantry the whole time.

....it's a shame Samsung doesn't seen to care about this product. The hardware (hub and sensors) works very reliably, with text notification straight to your smartphone when a door/window opens. The problem is the app (on Android M) is frequently unusable as it will not load the dashboard, which is required to arm/disarm the system and check status of the sensors. I've seen many people in Samsung's own forums complaining about the same exact problem. I decided to keep it anyway in hopes that someday they will actually fix it.

The price was great, i'm still trying to figure out what applications are best for the sensors. It's fun getting the google home to work the different things by voice command. I can see myself buying more plugs and sensors.

I'm currently using this as a security system for my house. I paired a siren with the smart hub to go off when ever an intrusion is detected. Also used the plug to turn on lights when motion is outside.

Really enjoy tinkering, and this set paired with Amazon echo/Alexa is amazing! Communicates with multiple systems and devices easily. Fun to play with!

connects to devices sometimes, purchased to monitor home as a alarm, needless to say I do not trust this enough as my only alarm, had to go back and purchase 2 Canaries. Most of the time it takes 2 or 3 times to pair, then loses connections, added a couple plug adapters to strengthen the signal to no avail. App fails to pull up rooms or devices most of the time. Don't waste your money
