Honestly this could be as simple or as complicated as you want. If you want a basic system this could be that. If you have the time and know how this is even better for in depth programs

It's a great self monitoring security system where you don't pay any monthly fees to monitor. I only took away one star 4 out of 5 stars since one of the multipurpose sensors did not work

I am now up to 15 items connected to smart things. I love it! The only thing i wish is that it would work with Nest and Chamberlain. As soon as they get that then it would be 5 stars for sure!

Good product line. A good way to set up home security and automation. Product programming through the App can be improved. Too many steps. Some operational integration challenges with SONOS

I have had no issues, I have a Samsung Galaxy phone and everything I have connected works great. The only thing I would like is the Cameras two way voice option would be nice through the hub.

I ended up returning this as I decided to go with a competing setup but SmartThings seems to be good kit for someone interested in home automation. It is expandable and mostly reliable.

Overall, satisfied with the purchase. It's strength lies in the community development where other items can be linked though not official. Will recommend to family and friends.

Works great with all sorts of devices, add Zwave smoke alarms, door sensors, and a door chime. I am a programmer and I found it a little tricking in adding devices and profiles but it does everything I need and the sky is the limit in what can be added in the future.

Got this security system to keep my 3 year old from sneaking out of the house we rent. We couldn't add any locks to the door. We added a siren in our bedroom to wake us up if he were to open one of the outer doors. The controllable outlet is great too.

The SmartThings monitoring kit is a great way to start building your smart home. We purchased it for piece of mind when we were going on vacation and it worked perfectly. We've since added some switches and water monitors. Works great with Amazon Echo as well.

I like the integration with the Logitech harmony remote along with Amazon Echo and Google Home. It is a great hub to interact with several iot devices in the house.

I have found so many uses for the for sensors, fyi the can be used for temp sensors as well as open close sensors. I use them to turn all lights red in the event any sensor goes over 105 degrees. Oh, the also monitor vibrations.... Many uses

This is one of the best systems I've tried for aftermarket home automation. However if you are not very tech savvy you will want someone to help set it up.

Really good home monitoring kit by Samsung. Their app could probably be a little more user friendly. The setup was easy enough to mount and sync.

Seems really good, the only thing missing is a direct link to the WeMo devices and maybe some other 3rd party devices but so far so good..it's Samsung.

I have open/close sensors, motion sensors, and outlets. I like the ability to schedule how everything behaves (e.g. arm the system while kids are at school, but disarm before they get home). Can't wait for additional integrations.

So far I am really enjoying the interface on Smartthings vs Wink. Each on offers different customization but I have found that Smartthings offers just a little more of the tinker like my self more options and automations.

Great concept but has a few issues with keeping "things" connected. A lot of 3rd party and community support that add features to the app.

Nice product but not much of IFTTT configuration help. No documentation or videos. All YouTube videos are how people setup their home

After extensive research we purchased this item. After installing it we realized that the door sensors have to almost be touching for them to work properly. They cannot be any further an 1/8 of an inch apart. That is almost impossible for a door. We returned the product and did additional research on other products. Eventually, we purchased the SmartThings Hub only and added the door sensors from another online vendor.
