I converted from Lowes Iris to smartthings and don't regret it. The interface, and integrations are much better. Only thing that would make this better would be to get nest and canary integration as well.

This set is a good start but the 2 door sensors and one 1 motion sensor don't do much without additional connected products.

Open source is key this this kit...not the best bang for your buck, minor savings but comes with what you need to get started. Nice packaging, dependable hardware. Amazing software and support/user forum.

Its a lot of work to use all the benefits and you must be in the room to use it. Sometimes you have to repeat your command.

works great, have it controlling garage door opener, lights, security alarm siren...took a little while to set up, but once it's setup it does it's thing , automatically turning lights on and off etc....

I have not had any issues with the system. It has helped me a lot when my maintenance company shows up unexpectedly.

The system has a lot of potential but need some additional pieces such as siren and camera which I have since added

Using the Samsung hub, I have been able to automate my home easily. I recommend it to anyone who wants to get started!

Just plug in the Hub and download the Smartthings App. Smart plug works well. Easy setup for "Things". Easy trial and error, to setup devices to work the way you want with the SmartApps provided

I received this for free as a promo for purchasing an entire kitchens worth of appliances. I looked at it, and tried to think of a use for it, and could not. It's a nice gimmick, but I do not like to rely on technology. I can turn my own lights on and off. I tried to sell this at half the retail value on Craigslist and never even got a reply. That explains why Samsung is just giving these away.

I like the smartthings controller is very user friendly and easy to setup. I was able to connect it with several of my devices easily. Much better product than my previous controller.

This is a nice kit to start your home automation. As all other reviews say, this hub has lot to offer and the provided sensors in the kit is a very easy way to start building your network.

Haven't heard from the recipient of this gift and assume it was satisfactory as I haven't heard any complaints.

This kit has everything you need to get your smarthome started, batteries included. Smasung provides excellent, timely support when needed, and everything integrates well with Amazon echo.

I really like the versatility and ease of setup of Smartthings. I think it is the best DIY home monitoring system on the market today that you can purchase at a reasonable price.

Everything works well except for the motion sensors, which are hit or miss in working with my automations.

Out of the box one of the sensors did not work, had to drive 30+ miles to exchange the entire kit (no sweat exchange thank you Best buy), then one of the sensors failed after getting set up, which SmartThings swapped out so I did now have to go thru the set up process again. Now that it is all set up it works great. Keep in mind that it runs off the internet and is not standalone.

I read the reviews and was looking for something to be the center of my connected home. Had issues right out of the box, even the sensors that came with the hub failed to connect, had to reset and start over. Now half my sensors do not change state. Some doors read open all the time while others read closed while open. The iPhone app needed to run hub is a mess. Errors out 90% of the time, it is almost impossible to add items, see rooms and even when you do the status could be wrong. Wanted to make use of sensors to set an alarm, problem is status is incorrect more often than not. Right now its pretty much just for show in hopes others might see it and move on to another home. If not for all the work and money spent I would take it back. Heres to hoping that maybe Samsung will improve the app. I would not buy this agin, not even for my enemy.

Seems to do a good job of notifying me of things, even though I don't have many sensors yet. The connectivity seems reliable and I can access it from my android phone anywhere.

Everything working as expected. Waiting for more z wave plus sensors to become available for more security.
