Is the beginning of home automations with this product you can start automatins thing and fromthere you have a good idea of what els to buy. Also you would like a smart lights like phillips hue to combie the two products and harmony hub if you like to automate your home theater

I bought this before our vacation and it was a easy setup for my husband since he deals with electronics daily. The app is great because you're able to see if the alarm is on or not and your able to control it through the cellphone.

I bought this house control system because it supports Echo and Sonos.

3/11/17 - I contacted Best Buy Geek Squad and Samsung Smart Things Technician. Both contacts told me that there is currently no capability of sending sound alerts from the Multipurpose Sensor to a Chime Unit, SONOS, or ALEXA? I searched the Smart Things application further and found that it did currently have the capability of sending sound/Alerts, from the Smart Things Multipurpose Sensor, to the SONOS sound system and that it offered quite a few different sound options ...to include...Default message, Custom message Alarm, Bell 1, Bell 2, Dogs barking, Fire Alarm, The mail has arrived, There is Motion, Smart Things detected a flood, Smart Things Detected Smoke, Some is arriving, Piano, and Lightsaber. The Sensors/alerts have been placed on two separate doors, in my home, and appear to work flawlessly. I believe it would be very helpful, to future customers, if instructions were provided on how to set this up in the Smart things application (There was a bit of a learning curve..:-))... and also let the Geek Squad and Smart things Tech know that this service is available through the app. Thanks Smart Things/Samsung! This product exceeds my expectations. Yes the APP may be somewhat cumbersome but after using it for some time I am more than happy.

I am calling this the "best" hub, because it has fewer limitations than all the others. It is open source and has a strong community behind it. You can integrate almost all Zigbee/Z-wave/ZLL hardware. This kit is well-appointed, and I found all of the devices to be easy to add and use. Have had no issues whatsoever with it.

This system worked exactly as advertised. Easy to install and simple to understand user interface. I use it for monitoring kids internally as a warning that outside doors or windows are opened. But it doubles as external security which was its primary purpose. Tamper proof and its great the controls are on your smart phone.

I've only begun to tap the potential this device has. I want to connect more SmartThings to it and really get my house in sync.

Many automation and integration options. Easily manages/monitors entry ways, controls HUE lights. I plan on adding more devices to the echo system.

This is a great diy automation system. It can take awhile to fully learn all the things this product can do. With that said basic setup is a breeze and it is worth the time to learn how to fully automate with this system and it is relatively easy even when using the developer website and creating custom apps and devices.

Completely automated my home. Everything is voice controlled with Alexa through the Samsung SmartThings hub

Good Sensors. However you need to have a lot of patience when programming with your other things.

I am new to making my home a Smarthome.. and this product has helped me get in to it smoothly and with no hassle. Everything is mostly plug and play and i love how flexible the smart plugs can be.

This is an awesome home automation system and syncs with just about everything but if you are thinking to upgrade from the V1 to the V2 dont bother. Honestly the performance and feature differences are not worth the upgrade. I would wait for the V3 so they can work out the bluetooth integration.
