It’s my first smart home hub not counting our old Echo so I don’t have much to compare it to. So far it’s worked great. We’ve only had one hiccup and that was while downloading a huge game. Seems that if you saturate your broadband with something, commands that rely on the cloud server can get ignored or delayed long enough to possibly time out. Willing to bet local commands aren’t affected though.

This is a great gadget. We use it with Amazon Echo/Alex/a to turn on/off lights. Schedule lighting. Remind us if we left doors opened. Security system. Needs to have USB ports activated and an easy way to have cell phone backup for the security system. Also a little bit of programming experience is helpful if you like to take advantage of custom smart apps that other people make that you may need to customize to your system.
