With recent advances in smart home technology, this product seems like it's needed less and less. I purchased it to run water leak sensors, but had hoped it could be used for other things. It can be, but there isn't really a need for it to. Amazon Echo and Google Home will likely take away the need for these hubs.

If you are connecting compatible devices it works quick and easy, if you have devices that are not already included in the software it works but can be a lot of work to add. The UI is not the greatest when trying to remove found devices.

Bought this hub to control a few Zigbee devices. It has been working pretty well. The Samsung SmartThings app added many features and made the hub really smart. It requires Ethernet connection so has been to be placed near a router.

Like that I can integrate my Leviton Wi-Fi devices with my Kwikset Z-Wave locks, but I occasionally have to power cycle the hub after it fails to communicate with the Kwikset locks. Not perfect, but it doesn't ruin the experience. It can probably be addressed with a firmware update.

Just doesn’t work with all smart devices, just certain name brands

I purchased the Smart Things Hub in order to utilize the moisture sensors for multiple areas of my home. Primarily, my sump pump, Dishwasher, under sink and sewer area in my basement. Works incredibly well and notifies my cell phone by text and via the Smart Thing App. I would highly recommend!

Not interested in the home automation side of things, just the home security. Having a water leak detector, smoke/CO2 detector, temperature monitor, and motion detectors provides a peace of mind when I'm away. A bit complex to set up, but very versatile.

I purchased the smarthings hub to replace my dlink staples connect hub, I was happy with the staples connect but considering that staples no longer supports the device and they have walked away from these smart home devices I opted to replace with a new hub. I chose smarthings after investigating the other options. The good thing about this product is the community support and all of the developers that contribute to make customized solutions that Samsung has not yet developed. The drawback with this hub is that it needs to be connected with a network cable from a router to the hub. I wish they would come up with an upgrade to enable a wifi feature so that it can moved to other areas of the house. My dlink staples connect had this feature.

In my opinion, this is the best smart home hub to buy today. Yes, it has some quirks but integration with Z-Wave and other smart devices has been seamless. I've been quite impressed with the capabilities. Looking forward to seeing what Samsung can release next.

Product works great and customer support is also very good on the USA West Coast. Knowledgeable and answer the phone quickly no long wait times. So happy with this I have bought 3 for different locations.

Samsung smartthings is average to say the least. Requires other devices to connect to equipment and a elongated setup process to perform each action but works well when all the steps are followed correctly

This hub comes with Zigbee and Z-wave supports. So you can add many smart devices like Philips Hue and many more z-wave devices like GE and Lutron switches. It's smartphone app is getting better and better with every releases.

This works with z wave and all other sensors. This hub had the most avaliable and wide range of sensors to work with the hub. I have door looks motion and lights in my house and much more. The app is very well done snd works great with iOS and Android

If I had to do it all over again, I'd buy ONLY Smart Things and compatible products. Love the ability to add custom device drivers for products that don't naturally fit into their eco-system.

If u are a developer and need full access and freedom with wide community support this is for you. So far have not found any reason to not love it. However sure it all need the internet will love to have local mode for run (with basic feature working)

I have integrated Samsung smart things to my Schlage smart door lock, philips hue lights, nest thermostat. The combination works just perfect. The integration is very simple. I recommend smart things to anyone that is planning for a smart home solutions.

If you want to make your house smart this is the hub for you about this model two years ago and she still working great they’re keeping the software up-to-date it’s not outdated their line of products are wonderful.

This is probably the best smart home solution out there. However I would like the user interface to be a little more friendly for my parents since I have set their house up with one. Love how almost all smart devices work with this and it works with amazon echo

Using this at home with smart bulbs and Alexa which controls the smart features. In the beginning. I owned it over one year and it’s working good with no issues other than few downtimes which Samsung take care off on their own
