They get dinged right now because they don't fully support Android 10 and they have weakened their alerts (no more texts). It is essential to give as many strong alerts as possible, including email and text, not just a phone notification.

For Android 10, please make sure you are using the new SmartThings App, which has an icon of a circle surrounded by five smaller circles, and verify the application is up-to-date. In regards to additional alerts, if there is a type of alert you would like to have that isn't available within the SmartThings App, please let us know and also check out the additional capabilities provided by IFTTT. I saw this a month or so ago with dual bands for same price so I thought I was getting the same item, dual bands is about $60 more plus tax I only gave one Star because it didn’t have the all the features I was looking for, but is a great product from word of mouth & reviews.
