A: I bought this because i got a schlage door lock, i only had to go to SAMSUNG SMART THINGS APP and add the hub and the lock to my device list. So i belive that whatever device you get that is compatible with smart things, you wont need additional apps, just go in and add device, you should be able to find it, if in fact compatible. Hope helps.
A: No, this wouldn't work for that at all. If you're trying to view your screen, you would need an adapter cable.
