Probably the best choice for someone that needs a hub and wants the simplest solution. Lots of changes going on with SmartThings, hope this wasn’t a mistake. Only got it because door lock is Zwave, may have been better to replace the door lock.

I transitioned from wink due to it being down constanly. Smartthings doesnt have that problem, its very stable. However the ui is plain and should give access to more information. It works though, most important thing.

It's cold here in December. I don't have to go outside in the snow to plug in my Christmas lights, I can just touch the button on my phone of say "hey google, turn on the outside christmas lights." and magically they come on.

After Wink moved to a subscription model, I was on the lookout for a new hub. After pulling the trigger on the ST Hub and integrating it with homebridge, I wish I would have initially went with this solution instead of the Wink Hub.

I like this hub, most stuff works with it but I recommend buying the preferred devices when using it. Also if you use a alexa or google home, make sure to see what shares between the two. IFTTT works really well with ST

The instructions to getting this Hub set-up, is very poorly done. After numerous phone calls, I was told that "maybe", my cell phone was not compatible. I got a new phone and it worked. Then, I tried to connect two each Z-Wave switches, but again, I was not able to pair them. It has been very frustrating. I tried my wife's phone, which is 1 year old and again, said phone was not compatible. Customer Service also are not very helpful, as they don't seem to know much about this product.

One phone call to help with wifi access and the hub found all my devices. It is faster and more stable than wink. wink bulbs made by GE can be reset and discovered by Smartthing hub

It was easy to setup and get working. So far I have had no issues connecting any devices or using any aspect of the hub. I decided on the smart things hub because of all the customization potential. If you can figure out how to get it setup it is very powerful.

I set up 4 of these hubs throughout the house. 2 of the hubs are hardline (CAT 5) I to my 75' Smart TV and Chromecast Ultra (connected to projector). I went from getting 25 mbps to 100+ mbps. My Chromecast picture is sharper and it casts games almost immediately.

Somewhat satisfied. I don't believe the front camera is positioned to clearly identify who is at the front, but I don't want to move it now because there would be a hole in siding where camera is currently mounted.

Bought the hub to control 5 samsung bulbs. Very customizable, I run several "scenes" to control mutiple bulbs with varying degrees of dimming. Also use timer to start my day and auto shut off after I leave the house.

Being a long time Samsung user, I wanted to get the full effect of the smartthings app. I was already using it for my tv. The hub just ties everything together. I now have four different platforms to turn off a light.

This is a good product, but I had some difficulty getting it to communicate with the keyless front door lock. This took a few phones calls to Samsung before they were able to figure out the problem.

Bought this to replace another home automation system I had that was going out of business so I would no longer have a monitoring alarm service. This system utilized a lot of the sensors my other system used, and is even more stable than my previous one.

I am using this with a Logitech Harmony hub to turn power on to a couple items that didn't have power switches. the hub controls the smart outlet and has worked flawlessly. Also have an older model hub at home and love it - highly recommend!

I bought that to control my GE waze dim switch. I works. However, I had remote to control my switch but only one can control the switch. If I go with their system then I can use both for control my switch.

I bought it to replace Iris by Lowes which will no longer be available after March 31st. Smartthings allows me to control all my lights. I added the ADT starter pack for the security features.

I have built my home as a smart home. It seems like most of the products that I use already have a hub or don’t require one and I just didn’t find that it solved any problem for me. I can’t remember what I actually originally bought it for, but it was supposed to be to help me integrate one of my smart home items with something else. Clearly it didn’t solve that problem and I returned it. I still would recommend this product to some people as it fits your needs. i selected wouldn’t Recommend this item to a friend but that’s strictly based on my personal use case.

After one week I will say that the hub works well. It only gets 4 stars because the sensor I bought with it went through batteries like crazy. 2 in the first week so it went back and I kept the hub.

So the hub is a great idea, but the app is a bit on the confusing side. Trying to set up times and "routines" is a bit tricky, and will take some patience and practice. The hub itself though is great.
