    Have a Samsung washer and dryer and stove. Did not help with the use of any of the devices.

    Smart things not so smart

    I at first thought that this would be a great idea, but the individual plug controllers loose connection with the hub, or stop working altogether. I found that the phillips hue work more consistently and have stopped using the smartthings and switched my lighting control over to the hue system

    I liked the features offered within this hub. But, it would not run z-wave connections. Z-wave devices took multiple attempts to make initial connections. Then they'd drop. Did all types of documented procedures and location changes to remedy these problems. No success. Had to return it. Bought a Wink and it worked perfectly within minutes.

    Painful path to home automation

    We had high hopes for this; until we found that very few devices (outside of a $2K Samsung smart phone) could run their buggy software, that many of their own "smart" products don't work with it (like their $500 "smart" robotic vacuum), and that their own product support team had minimal knowledge of the product. Give this one a miss - shame, there is no clear leader in this space. Without an independent hub like this you're forced to choose either Amazon or Google. Other subscription-free hub makers (Kasa-TP Link or Hubitat are the favorites here) aren't nearly as user-friendly as the Samsung tried to be.

    Can not connect WiFi

    This item works great to bad I couldn’t connect it to my WiFi even with customer service helping me they couldn’t get it and they recommended I get another one which I did and still no WiFi. So it only connects hardwire

    No Native Compatibility w/ Lutron or Nest

    I discovered my existing Smart Home Lutron switches require a Lutron Bridge to work with the Samsung 'Smart Things' Hub and my Nest Doorbell isn't compatible at all. Ripping it all out, putting it on eBay and replacing with manual switches. Silos Suck!
